If you add the drink package when u book the cruise not after but at the same time it come out to be a lot cheaper like 30-40 per person per day and you’ll pay for it with just two drinks so it’s worth it if u do it that way

I have a 5 year old, and after watching your video, it prompted me to confirm directly with Carnival that vaccination is NO LONGER required for guests 5yo and older to utilize Camp Ocean and their services. Thanks so much for posting this video otherwise I wouldn't have called to find out. We sail in 10 days and I would have definitely been caught off guard [and upset] that I wasn't aware of the vaccination requirements for kids. Great video!

Thanks so much for such a "real" review. I have been on a few Carnival cruises but did not know you could pre-pay for your alcohol and that it would be in your room when you got there. That is an option instead of paying $15.00/mixed drink. I'm not a big drinker but on that special occasion it is nice to be able to have a drink without worrying about overpaying for your drink.

You are 100% correct. We just returned from the Panorama. The wifi and text app was ridiculous. The food was lackluster. I am so glad you are breaking it down and telling the truth. Thank you Gurl...i had to come back and give you a fist bump about the overcooked Guy's burgers. Yuk.
To include drinks, because I'm not a big drinker, get the casino deals. Drinks are included in the casino packages. Stick a twenty in a machine and someone appears magically.
Update on Carnival’s Covid rules. Anything 15 days and shorter there is no vax requirement or testing requirement. Some ports will still require. I was finally able to book a cruise so my wife could finally take her first cruise because they just dropped the requirements

Sign up for the VIFP through Carnival if you haven't. We just came back from a 7 day cruise yesterday on the Vista that we booked in March--balcony for $600/pp. That was 50% less than our cruise in 2019. They definitely are giving things away right now. Even as a casual drinker, the bars near the pools are terrible, our drinks inside at the lobby bars were on point. I maybe had two drinks a day over the week so the drink package definitely wouldn't be worth it. I went off the grid for the whole week because I refused to pay for that overpriced Wi-Fi. I checked in via texts once we hit the ports since my carrier allowed that.
Thank you for sharing! I agree. I’m a VIFP member too and the more you cruise the better deals you get. I definitely intend to be more off grid the next time I cruise and will not likely get a drink package either. Drinks are better inside at the lobby & casino bars and at the port for sure.
There are some great deals on carnival & royal caribbean!! I went 7 nights on Harmony balcony room. For $1100, mariner 5 night balcony $600 & carnival freedom 5 night $700
As a bartender, I can tell you bartenders do not water down drinks like that lol. If it’s watered down, it’s because the person took too long to drink it. If it takes 15+ minutes to drink a cocktail, the drink WILL taste watered down, especially if you’re out in the sun. Other than that, this was a really helpful video

For me, I would never pay for an alcohol package...way to expensive to pay 6, 7, 8 hundred dollars 💸! I find it cheaper to just purchase 4 drinks a day. Nobody wants to be too drunk on vacation 😒 🙄 😩 haha 😄
I thought the same too because I’m not a big drinker, but my friend wanted the Cheers package. Then I looked and sodas, specialty coffees, hot teas, and smoothies are also included in the alcohol drink package. I’ve heard 5-6 drinks a day evens out. So for me a coffee or two, a soda, a couple of cocktails, and a smoothie or a tea in a day is reasonable. 💗

I got lucky and booked 5 day 4 night cruise for 170$ per person from Tampa to Cozumel Mexico and Cayman Islands. We are going end of July 😊. Can’t wait. It’s on Carnival Paradise 🥰

Room service is included but you are limited to the menu. The social Wi-Fi package worked for me personally but have heard other people having issues. Carnival Hub doesn’t require a Wi-Fi package - everyone can use it while on board. If it was an app issue, that’s different. Iced tea and water are included as well as juice in the day but if you buy 5 alcoholic drinks a day, you pretty much break even. I personally never had anything I didn’t like except for blue crab ravioli. Prime rib is supposed to be pink lol just wish there were more seasonings. The most important thing is that we all like different stuff, we will all have different experiences. 😊
Room service is not included for free anymore. I think WiFi experience can vary based on the ship. The WiFi and carnival hub app were both down during my cruise. I was able to find things that I liked but agree that the prime rib needed more seasoning for sure. Most of the meat needed a little love. And you’re right everyone’s experience is different. Carnival Liberty had a pitcher of certain mixed drinks for 29.00 vs. 2 glasses for 24.00. Also, they had a bucket of beers (5 or 6) bottles for around 35.00. Just some info we found out about on our cruise

im so excited me and my sister go this month on the 25 carnival horizon. I got us a 8 day for 825 taxes and gratuities out the door and a balcony room hehehehehe. like im so pumped great deal!
Thanks for all this great info!! I definitely agree with the drink package. When we went on Royal and paid for the drink package literally all of our alcoholic drinks were watered down! So this last cruise (Carnival) we prepaid for a bottle of Jack Daniels for $95, $24 for a 6 pack of Angry Orchards, and $4.95 for a 12 pack of water. It’s so much more logical to do that because you can make your own drinks to your liking. Another thing, we just came back from the Carnival Liberty and the food quality has declined significantly. I use to love Blue Iguana and the burritos were not the same, Guy’s never tastes good to me but they have a new Funderstruck burger (nacho burger) I wanted to try which didn’t taste good, the Deli didn’t know what ingredients were supposed to go on what sandwiches and they would put anything on it, the buffet was terrible and had very limited options. Hopefully on our next cruise things will get better

We also had nasty food on our last Carnival cruise. The steak in the MDR was like shoe leather. We sent my husband's back and changed to a stuffed chicken breast. It was the same size as the tines of his fork. Smaller than a Little Debbie swiss roll. It came with 3 tiny slivers of carrot and 1 tiny baby new potato cut in quarters. We still laugh about it. Also some guy reached in with his bare hands to take cookies off a tray. I called him out and a crew member came over and had to throw away the whole tray. Gross! The buffet was limited and the tongs were gross. For breakfast the omelet bar was great, everything else was cold and picked over. The pizza was wonderful. We ate it often. I was disappointed, I thought cruise food would be special, it wasn't. Thanks for your good information.

I did the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins tour excursion at Costa Maya on the small bus for $150.00 ($50 was knocked off as part of my cruise package so it was $100.00)......the tour guide was great, water and beer were included in the tour. I fell like it was well worth the money if you like history of various cultures.
Thank you for sharing! Do you know if an age requirement? I travelled with a 6 year old at the time (he’s 8 now) but some of those tours had an age requirement that didn’t work at the time. I’d like to cruise in 2024.
200% agree about the HORRIBLE Wifi. Lesson learned, next time we'll just use the cruise/int'l plan offered by our wireless phone provider. But other than that we had an amazing time 😊
I don't know if you're going to mention this, however the best bar on Carnival ships is The Alchemy Bar! the bartenders are phenomenal, very professional, and make the best cocktails you will have. From the French 75 (my fav!), Cosmopolitan, Dirty Martini, you request it they can make it! Skip the other bars once Alchemy opens, the hours vary check the cruise itinerary in your cabin and enjoy. Best way to get deals is go to the Casino and play on slot machines on at least one cruise. Become apart of the “Player’s Club” I’ve taken 3 this year and the most we paid was $525 for my husband and I for 8-days. I’ve never paid for room services. I am also a Platinum Member!!!
Girl u are right on point especially about food. Food isn't plentiful at the Blush. Ordered a shrimp appetizer. So disappointed! It came with 3 baby shrimp n a splash of marinara!

That's why you live and learn. Our 1st time was a lesson learned but now when we're in Cozumel Mexico we go to Mr.Sanchos all the time. But we also found out that there's another beach on the other side. We just got a cab and went over for pictures on the beach/ shopping and back to the port for lunch. But this video is amazing. Hello. I just got off the Breeze a week ago and I had the best time. And that guava juice is delicious. I didn’t discover it until the last full day there but I enjoyed it.
Wow that prime rib looked amazing but i love rare!! All they had to do is sear it to get it more done for you!! Im cruising july 9 and im so hoping its alot of fun! I usually cruise royal caribbean and love it. Carnival had a reallygreat deal for 5 night caribbean for $680 for 2 people. What an amazing deal!!
We paid for the 'Cheers' Drinks package because that's the only way you can get Specialist Coffees and Mocktails, only to catch a bug on the second day of sailing. Consequently we only had 13 Drinks each for the remainder of the week. Someone made some money out of us.

My friend doesn’t want the drink package, but I do. :( In regards to pre-paying for liquor to be delivered to your room, do you remember the cost for the delivery plus the actual cost for the liquor? Also, will you see the options once you actually purchase the cruise?
You’re welcome! It depends on what you want. The prices are inflated but it’s with the delivery and gratuity too. Prices range from $90-$125 for a fifth and you should be able to see it under “food and beverages” if you search on the website for onboard purchases. I looked after I booked the cruise but you may be able to see it now too.
U can also bring a 750ml bottle of wine per adult. And per passenger u cab bring 12pks of can soda. Its 3 of us on a 3day cruise so 1to2 12pks of sodas 1 12pk is 4 drinks each for us thts more thn enuff. And I mix the 12pk flavors. 2ginger ale incase of a stomach issue but pepsi/coke n a few fruity flavors
I mentioned the wine in this video. I didn’t realize you can still bring canned soda! They sell it too through their online store, so thank you for sharing that!

Definitely more convenient & cheaper to prepay if you're going to indulge... We just made our own drinks & walked around with them lol

Costa Maya was beautiful and as an Pre-K educator I was able to get some videos that my class loved viewing. Cozumel is always a treat when shopping.

Thanks for all this great info!! I definitely agree with the drink package. When we went on Royal and paid for the drink package literally all of our alcoholic drinks were watered down! So this last cruise (Carnival) we prepaid for a bottle of Jack Daniels for $95, $24 for a 6 pack of Angry Orchards, and $4.95 for a 12 pack of water. It’s so much more logical to do that because you can make your own drinks to your liking.
Another thing, we just came back from the Carnival Liberty and the food quality has declined significantly. I use to love Blue Iguana and the burritos were not the same, Guy’s never tastes good to me but they have a new Funderstruck burger (nacho burger) I wanted to try which didn’t taste good, the Deli didn’t know what ingredients were supposed to go on what sandwiches and they would put anything on it, the buffet was terrible and had very limited options. Hopefully on our next cruise things will get better

We also had nasty food on our last Carnival cruise. The steak in the MDR was like shoe leather. We sent my husband's back and changed to a stuffed chicken breast. It was the same size as the tines of his fork. Smaller than a Little Debbie swiss roll. It came with 3 tiny slivers of carrot and 1 tiny baby new potato cut in quarters. We still laugh about it. Also some guy reached in with his bare hands to take cookies off a tray. I called him out and a crew member came over and had to throw away the whole tray. Gross! The buffet was limited and the tongs were gross. For breakfast the omelet bar was great, everything else was cold and picked over. The pizza was wonderful. We ate it often. I was disappointed, I thought cruise food would be special, it wasn't. Thanks for your good information.
Iced tea is also included. Hot coffee, not specialty, is also included as well as hot tea.

I did the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins tour excursion at Costa Maya on the small bus for $150.00 ($50 was knocked off as part of my cruise package so it was $100.00)......the tour guide was great, water and beer were included in the tour. I fell like it was well worth the money if you like history of various cultures.

200% agree about the HORRIBLE Wifi. Lesson learned, next time we'll just use the cruise/int'l plan offered by our wireless phone provider. But other than that we had an amazing time 😊

I don't know if you're going to mention this, however the best bar on Carnival ships is The Alchemy Bar! the bartenders are phenomenal, very professional, and make the best cocktails you will have. From the French 75 (my fav!), Cosmopolitan, Dirty Martini, you request it they can make it! Skip the other bars once Alchemy opens, the hours vary check the cruise itinerary in your cabin and enjoy. Cheers!

Best way to get deals is go to the Casino and play on slot machines on at least one cruise. Become apart of the “Player’s Club” I’ve taken 3 this year and the most we paid was $525 for my husband and I for 8-days. I’ve never paid for room services. I am also a Platinum Member!!!

Yes they were small portions! And some of it was better than others not I did like the shrimp cocktail

Another way to save is to take gratuity off and be able to personally tip once your cruise is over. You can take it off after half the trip.

That's why you live and learn. Our 1st time was a lesson learned but now when we're in Cozumel Mexico we go to Mr.Sanchos all the time. But we also found out that there's another beach on the other side. We just got a cab and went over for pictures on the beach/ shopping and back to the port for lunch. But this video is amazing. I usually cruise royal caribbean and love it. Carnival had a reallygreat deal for 5 night caribbean for $680 for 2 people. What an amazing deal!!

We paid for the 'Cheers' Drinks package because that's the only way you can get Specialist Coffees and Mocktails, only to catch a bug on the second day of sailing.
Consequently we only had 13 Drinks each for the remainder of the week.
Someone made some money out of us.

In regards to pre-paying for liquor to be delivered to your room, do you remember the cost for the delivery plus the actual cost for the liquor?
Also, will you see the options once you actually purchase the cruise?
You’re welcome! It depends on what you want. The prices are inflated but it’s with the delivery and gratuity too. Prices range from $90-$125 for a fifth and you should be able to see it under “food and beverages” if you search on the website for onboard purchases. I looked after I booked the cruise but you may be able to see it now too.

U can also bring a 750ml bottle of wine per adult. And per passenger u cab bring 12pks of can soda. Its 3 of us on a 3day cruise so 1to2 12pks of sodas 1 12pk is 4 drinks each for us thts more thn enuff. And I mix the 12pk flavors. 2ginger ale incase of a stomach issue but pepsi/coke n a few fruity flavors
