    It's so good!! My only suggestion would be moving the peg board to the wall beside your sewing table. But I love all the little touches

    To get rid of blood stains, leave an ice cube on top. once the ice is fully melted, blot the stain away. The ice tears apart the blood on a cellular level. Works every time for me. ❤

      or use hydrogen peroxyde

      Can confirm. This is what they told me at a hospital too. Either ice or really cold water. It worked amazingly on my husband's hoodie, which had gotten quite stained from the IV after they removed it and didn't place the bandage correctly😅

    We have black-out clip-on blinds in our bedroom which might be a good solution for your door. They clip onto the top of the window frame, so you can still open it even with the blinds down.

    I think the pegboard needs to be closer to where you work/sew... I feel theres risk for things to drop into the crib 😅

    • @mauradonovan
      @mauradonovan หลายเดือนก่อน +24

      Yea, mounting the pegboard behind the sewing space is probably more realistic than squeezing around the table and crib every time you need something! It will probably help you to keep the sewing and command center surfaces less cluttered too during projects

    you could instead attach the blind to the door. That way, the light-dripping gaps won't be as large, and you can also use the door without having to pull the blind up all the time.

    • @mauradonovan
      @mauradonovan หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yea I had a wooden blinds attached directly to my door with a window. The blinds were functional and a pleasant texture in the room. I'm sure the current setup is a stop gap, but the shade coming down from the ceiling in front of the door looks odd. In the same vein, can you really use the paper roller backdrops anymore with the crib under? Might need to call it on those too and just pull those off the ceiling while you're at it

    • @janelte
      @janelte หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Even easier to screw two of those little threaded circular hooks into the frame either side of the door glass, stretch a curtain wire with the matching hooks between the two eyelet hooks, and sew a small blackout lined curtain to match the new light shade in the same gingham. It would look a lot better and be quicker to open and close, I think.

    for the nose bleed and other similar stains, i use "fiel de boeuf" soap from starwax, i believe it is beef bile soap in english. Works for blood, wine, grease, grass etc. All the difficult stains ! It was a massive game changer for me; as I don't care if I stain anything anymore :)

    For set in blood stains on my clothes, I’ve used this product called “Grandma’s Secret Spot Remover”. Dab a bit on, a light scrub, and I’ve thrown in the wash as normal. I’m sure you could just spot clean with it too.

    Did Google recommend the spit trick for getting blood out? I don't know if it will help with an old stain (I saw it recommended for if you're sewing with white fabric and poke yourself with the pins or needle), but basically you spit on it and rub that in, and the enzymes in the saliva break down the blood. I've had a nosebleed in my sleep and gotten the blood out of my pillowcase that way.

    For blood, I use hydrogen peroxide, but the dilution you can buy at the store is usually not strong enough, so I give the stained item to my dry cleaner for them to take out the stain (they should have a much stronger dilution).

    Couple solutions for your nose bleed stain
    *Enzyme cleaner from home depot (might be called septic tank cleaner) diluted... Amazing stuff for any human waste stuff or protein
    *Hand sanitizer
    *Blue Dawn
    *Tooth paste... The one with whitening and baking soda
    *First pour small amount of vinegar to saturate the stain, dump on some baking soda and spot scrub

    Folex spray makes blood stains disappear! It was unbelievable to me when I first used it. It goes away immediately and then doesn't resurface or anything. It gets rid of a lot of other stains too. Unfortunately, it does not work on everything, but a lot of stuff.

      Seconding the hydrogen peroxide. But if it's super set in, it may not work as well. In which case, I'd try for soaking it with a thick solution of OxiClean and letting it air-dry before rinsing out with clear water, then repeating if necessary.

    That's seems like a super short-term solution for baby - he's going to be standing and grabbing at everything in his reach real soon. Does that mean your current home doesn't have enough rooms for two kids? Does that mean you will be looking for a bigger home soon? Just thinking ahead ....

    • @marlymarlymarly
      @marlymarlymarly หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Theyre probably thinking about this :D but I think Marla has her room, if its big enough the two could live in there once the baby get a bit bigger and has a similar sleeping pattern.

    Not a huge fan of the sponsorship transition at 2:16 though... I know you say they sent it to you, and at the video you mention that it's a sponsorship, but in the moment, and especially watching in the background, it's hard to tell what is and isn't an ad. I love that you work with brands that work for you, and that fit in your lifestyle, but this feels like hiding the ball. I think adding some text about the sponsorship would help.

    For blood stains I have tried many things that don't work 🥲 but stain devils the blood one works great! It even takes out old stains (their ink one is also great honestly all of them are amazing)
