This may not be totally new content as I've showed the jig before, even though I've never actually showed how to make it.
As I was remaking and improving it I thought it'd be worth showing how to make it and how to use it! Hope you agree! :)

Great video as always. You could also add a screw/thread down through the top of the jig to hold the angled pieces - so both hands could just concentrate on moving the jig, avoiding the blade, etc. It would be a bit slower between cuts (maybe a knob would make it easier to lock/unlock) but could be safer for novices. Just an idea :-)

This is awesome. I see so many possibilities. Even If I wanted a round handle, this could remove so much more material all at once and leave us with endpoints for the lathe. It could also be built longer with the same method for making longer handles. I've got ideas brewing in my head.

Nicely done video, you covered a lot of info in a relatively short period of time. Short and sweet, concise and to the point. Many other videographers drag on and on with too much personal stuff or attempts at humor or unnecessary rambling. Thanks for sharing, I'll make this jig.

I think I might also experiment with a pentagon and septagon after this video and see how those work!

    Lovely improvements.
I made one after seeing your first video. I thought of using a piece of spring steel to make an adjustable template. You'd push on the middle with a screw to change the shape. I even though that if you tapered the width of the spring in different ways, the template could produce different shapes of the handle.
You can even make the ring for the ferule on this template, but it takes a big of care and patience.
