    Charlie Benante is without a doubt one of the most underrated drummers in thrash metal, or metal in general. He's my favorite.

    My wife and I met Anthrax years ago. Really down to Earth mellow dudes. Charlie Benante was tripping out on my Iron Maiden t-shirt. We have it on an old VHS camcorder tape lol. ROCK ON!!!!!

    Saw Anthrax on that tour in December 1990 as special guest for Iron Maiden in Hanover, Germany. Was 18 years old. Almost 30 years ago, time is running so fast.

    I remember how back in the day we felt as though Anthrax's _Persistence of Time_ was their equivalent to Metallica's _…And Justice for All_ and Megadeth's _Rust in Peace._ As close to an all-around masterpiece album as they could get, and they had already released landmark milestone records.

    anthrax is my favorite thrash metal band of all time. joey belladonna is one of the best vocalists of metal. scott ian and dan spitz are two of the greatest guitarists. frank bello is a awesome bassist and charlie benante is a kick ass drummer. anthrax is awesome!

    Back in 1990 I had this cassette and I wore it out. Those were the good old days. Now I'm damn near 50 still listening to just about every Metal group under the sun. Life just doesn't get any better.

      John is a good singer when the band knows how to use him case in point ARMORED SAINT. Anthrax however became a poor man's Pantera in the 90's to the point that dimebag had to come play on their albums to make them even more Pantera than they where already trying to be.

    Anthrax Is one of my favorite bands,and Rhianna one of my favorite singers.Rhianna and Anthrax both sing about the darkness of the soul.After all most singers wont be singing about her husband burning her alive Rhianna does.I listen to both metal and other forms of music because I like them.I dwell in the darkness and admire both bands and singers willing to explore it.

    Great memories.At my high school we had a radio station that was ran by metal heads from the AV club.And every morning they would jam out to Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and whatNOT before home room tardy bell.it was an open campus so it was on all the speakers outside as well.

      Lazar M: Great band, yes. Underrated, yes and no. Compared to the other big four itself they are underrated but when it comes to being credited as one of the big four pioneers of thrash metal, it think it's safe to say that they're not underrated in that regard at least.

      I was 13 in 1991. Got that album on original cassette. It was my favorite album in those days. Exploring metal was an amazing thing.

      I wasn't born when this song came around. I remember it like yesterday because it used to be my favorite album but now its Spreading the Disease instead. But I do remember the 1991 Iron Maiden Anthrax tour.

    I love the bass sound that Frank Bello gets. It's got the depth that u want in a bass guitar and it cuts through with just the right amount of high end. I guess I should be giving the credit to producer Mark Dodson. Bottom line: great bass sound.

      Fistful Of Metal and Spreading The Disease had quite a few Maiden-esque riffs. After that album they went more full-on thrash.
