  • With the rise of Downwind SUP foiling, Lift Foils launched a new line of products dedicated to this new sports and light wind wing foiling.
The new 180 and 220 HA X front wings are the big brothers of the already popular 150 HA X, lowering the low end and making it easier to ride in marginal conditions. The new flow tail, 21 and 31, are designed to provide incredible glide, while making pumping efficient and easy. The new M2 mast will give you the extra stiffness to ride bigger wing span front wings paired with a downwind board, or for heavier riders needing more stiffness, while remaining as fast as the classic mast series.

Love this !! This really helps a lot. For some of us access to ideal conditions is hard. Thanks for the education in a smooth entertaining energy.

Lots of sweet stuff so we can share the dw feels of the 150hax with learners and a wider audience. Stoked to get them out in some tiny conditions

Amen well said! 100% agree! Loving the 220 HA-X & 31 Flow tail for Florida conditions.

Just pulled the trigger on a 220 HAX and 21 Flow. Really looking forward for ONE foil for dockstarting, winging and efoiling. 🤙

Thanks for the update, been hoping something like this was coming out...wondering about the stall speed on these in comparison to the 150hax (and the Surf V2's for that matter)...

Hmm well there is no question the stall speed on the 220 and 180 are better than the 150HA-X. The main difference is the 220 and 180 have incredible speed and glide! Most wings these sizes are high lift lots of drag when you get up to speed. These are fast and can glide at speed. As far as the SURF V2 lets take the 200 it will have more camber and is mid aspect, so low speed lift will be good, but will not quite have the glide or speed as the new HA -X wings. Hope that helps.

How do the handle dock start? I’m currently using axis 1310 and axis 1150.

Damien and Gwen, as you know there are more and more wingers using Lift foils like myself but I feel that most content for Lift gears to the surfers and downwinders. Would be awesome to get a guide on lift foils from specifically a winging perspective to guide future purchases! Thanks

Agreed! We will add it to the list. Thank you friend and Merry Christmas.

Yes, agree. I’m winging only and looking at Lift for winging because I’m looking to reuse eFoil wings.

Given some decent energy I still like the trusty old HA120. The HA170 def had lower stall speed but also felt more draggy and could overpower as wave size built. HAX150 or HAX180 as the HA120 step up? SUP Surf, light wing and SUP-DW (still just a dream). 165-170 lbs depending on season &wetsuit.

150 HA X for everything is very all around. If you are looking for a little easier maybe for less favorable conditions the 180 HA X is a dream!

Did you notice any flexing or wobbling of the eFoil mast with the wide 220x wing? Were you able to pump the 220x on the eFoil with a folding prop? Could you compare the eFoil riding experience to the standard 200HA wing? Thanks!

At 157 pounds I did not notice any flex on the 220 HA- X wing. I am guessing you are asking can you pump the efoil with the folding prop on flat water off power. We have never tried that yet but riding swell was incredibly easy! I would say compared to the 200HA the 220 HA-X felt like it has way more glide. Had more upper end for sure than the 200 HA. Low speed on an efoil at my weight on a 5'4 I could foil up in 6-8 mph on a standard prop and shroud.

@DamienLeroyTH-cam Thanks for the reply and info! How was the low-end stall speed of the 220 HA-X compared to the 200HA? When I ride small boat wakes with my folding prop I'm often going quite slow, so stall speed is important to me.

We have a video coming next week but it was 6-8mph on an efoil stall speed 220 HA-X. I did not test it back to back with the 200 HA unfortunately. @@brandonbrandon38

Hi damien. Im Mario from mexico. Im planning to buy a lift foil 4. Do you recommend me for my fist wing de 180 ha. I Want to ride and also to surf with the folding prop. Thank you!!!

Mario, Great question! If you are mainly looking to ride waves on your efoil correct this would work? You for sure can do that and the glide and stability of the 180Ha is great and will work well, all depending on size of waves swell and tail wing. A good stable back wing will be the 31 flow but the turning will be more drawn out. The 21 flow will be a little more reactive but harder to learn to efoil compared to the 31 flow. The shorter the tail wing the more pitch sensitive it is, say the 26 carve tail will have more pitch sensitivity than the 21 Flow.
