I would say that apart from level 1 and 2 units I think the listed creatures are actually really powerful, Evil Eyes are high HP shooter that can be used in melee, Basilisks are good all rounders, Pit Lords hit hard, Unicorns are my second favorite level 6 after the Dread Knights, Devils are pretty good but their health is actaully too low if you considere that every Inferno unit has either low or average health for their level (Cerberus is the only exception), but other than that really high stats plus no retaliation
Unicorns are easily topped by Dread Knights, Queen Nagas and Cyclops, both in terms of stats and utility. As for Devils, you shouldn't care if his HP is low, he might as well have 120hp and still kick ass because the no-retaliation ability doesn't give an fck.

Also, attack skill is more important than defense skill here. Also, the ability of no retaliation works great on one v.s. one dual, but it is not as effective if there are many stacks in the battle.

For example i play with friends sometimes 2vs2. Often i play rampart and i never heard that unicorns are underrated or not respected unit. If i win mostly because of them :D
Yea same I never met anyone who were underrating War Unicorns, especially from their high hp and blind ability.. The one thing that I would say IS underrated, is their cost of 950 gold per unit, which is insane for a 6 lvl creature. I would want to vote for Naga Queens as underrated, but they do cost 1600 gold which is a ton. Their ability to always do max dmg of 30 and no retaliation is almost rivaling lvl 7 units though, so it's justified with the price.
Dendroid Guards are real underrated unit. They are always the last unit to be killed and can take a big damage and their growth is huge. Pair them with armoured skill and good defense stats and you ll be unbeatable.
I agree. With dwarves they're tough like soldier's boot. Speed is the issue. Haste spell ( or Prayer even better) is must on them. But when they can move faster they are very difficult to defeat. Rampart isn't the easiest faction to play. But if you know how it is a lot of fun.

Lizards with typical Fortress defense do solid damage and can take a relatively big beating from enemy. Marksman due to 2x shot clear faster and deal more damage but are much more fragile.

Cool for the Hobgoblins, Lizards Beholders, Pit Lords and Archdevils. Basilisk are one of the most valued 4th level creatures (with crusaders and Vampire lords) Top three is enough. ok... so there is one think of note which is relevant to your picks for level 2 and 3. You really see the worth of lizard warriors when you pick another archer:) Personally i love necro and liches have the same problem... still add another archer and you can see how devastating they really are:)
Hobgoblins? No way. This is one of the reasons why Stronghold is the best town for small maps. Lizard Warriors? Well, it's because they were awful until SoD happened. In my opinion, the only worse 7 tier unit is Ghost Dragon. Beign better than a total trash is nothing to be proud of, tho.
The medusa is also a rather weak unit in Dungeon compared with the other lvl 4 units. It's special ability is too situational, it has poor stats, not to mention it might run out of arrows unless you find a war machine factory and buy a trash can.
@ffarkasm I don't quite get the video idea, it doesn't take into account many things. How are Medusa Queens weak & overrated? They are SHOOTERS with No melee penalty and by the time an enemy unit gets close to them it would've been shot multiple times already. Plus Black Dragons are immune to spells, you can't cast Implosion, Blind, etc. on them, they can hit 2 enemy units at the same time with their area fire breath, which is a better advantage than most lvl 7 units people are hyping up in the comments.
Being good at1vs1 has little to do with its worth. We should see things as a whole, in a greater perspective. Pit lords however are the most overrated units in entire game.
1:14: "Evil eyes are underrated because Grand Elves are better and therefore the enemy will target Grand Elves more often." Yeah that's some sound logic there.
Not wrong really. Most Double Shooters are on a higher "priority" then those of the single shot. You often see EE not get targeted if you have Marksmen or Grand Elves. But that doesn't mean they are really excluded, except for rare cases like weak stack of higher tier units, all Ranged units are picked most of the time. If you have mostly Ranged units and have Liches in, they will be attacked first. Why? No one wants a unit on the field that can hit multiple units, even an AI knows how dangerous they are.
Honestly, dragons have better speed, better att and better def than Devils. Everything you listed is worse than Dragons. Literally THE ONLY good things is no retaliation.
This video is way off . Most of those creatures are average or weak and lack redeeming qualities. Goblins are an average lvl1, mediocre stats, not the first choice and definitely not a powerstack when playing stronghold. They perform really poorly when set up against sprites, gremlins, skeletons, centaurs and other lvl 1s. Lizardmen are probably the worst archers in the game and nobody would pick Wystan as their main while Tazar, Dracon, Alkin, Korbac or Broghild are available. Saying that Beholders aren't picked as a target as often as Grand Elves is too general if there is no detailed info about given army, personally I think Beholders are alright in early game but disposable later on and definitely not the best level 3 unit as some people say here, Elves, Griffins and Dragonflies eat him alive in this setup. Basilisks, again, nothing special, for a tier 4 creature they have average attack, average defence, average speed, average HP and their special ability has only 20% trigger chance which doesn't even grow with the upgraded version. It performsr really poorly next to Vamps, Pegasi, Mages, Swordsmen or even Fire Eles. Pit Lord has never been considered a weak unit and everyone who played inferno and knows how to farm demons knows that, so idk why is it on the list. Unicorns are an alright unit, fairly decent stats, easily reachable in week 1 and upgradable in week 2 with the first buyout, their special abilities, again, rely heavily on RNG, 20% chance for blind and a possible 20% chance AoE magic shield, either way not too shabby but still, I would pick Death Knights, Nagas, Efreeti or Cyclops anytime over Unicorns. I'm not sure why Devils are in the list as well. Considering that Titans and Archangels are 5k and both Black and Gold Dragons 4k, 4.5k makes Archdevils fairly optimal. Their stats are above average when considering all 7s and no retaliation ability makes him broken, allowing to clear the map with no losses even with Devil being the only single unit in the army. With mass slow it makes hero vs hero battle extremally frustrating for the opponent when you can just cast mass slow, hit and kite out without losing a single heath point. Try some other monsters, like idk, Dendroids lol.

If you have mostly Ranged units and have Liches in, they will be attacked first. Why? No one wants a unit on the field that can hit multiple units, even an AI knows how dangerous they are.
good attack and desense stats of monsters doesnt mean anything....
Would doubt the pit lords they get taken down quite easily and their resurection and demons are probably the worst tier 4 unit in the game.
thats why you mass them. if pit lordds resurrect crusaders they would be OP.
All inferno are underrated is a good town
everybody knows hogoblins, pit lords and war unicorns are good, ar least in competitive level.
Honestly, dragons have better speed, better att and better def than Devils. Everything you listed is worse than Dragons. Literally THE ONLY good things is no retaliation.
Other than Azure, which dragon has better speed than ArchDevil? Arch Devil is strong in combat, It just doesnt work well with whole Inferno line up.
@ExalyThor we are talking about dragons, not level 7 in general.
