    Bob McDill wrote some iconic songs: “Amanda,” “Don ’t Close Your Eyes,” “Louisiana Saturday Night,” “Gone Country,” “Good Ole Boys Like Me,” “It Must Be Love,” “Song of the South” and so many others.
    And did you hear the news? Bob McDill is joining the Country Music Hall of Fame! Along with Tanya Tucker and Patty Loveless, McDill is in the Hall of Fame Class of 2023.

    Love your song writer interviews I’m 82 and at it everyday Music ,came close in 1960s but nothing recorded …2 Nashville publishers Floyd (Lightnin)Chance & Chuck Glasser held on to my tapes for months so that gave me inspiration to keep goin as they thought maybe I got something .Gotta a You Tube channel with a lotta songs I wrote and also covers …Not done yet
