I have just discovered your collections and wanted to offer my thank you for doing all this work to expose us to more music, musicians, and composers. I'm just beginning to listen to Jean Coultard and I'm quite impressed. Lovely phrasing and great range in instrumentation. I'm looking forward to new discoveries in the music you're posting.
Don't worry, collectionCB2 will remain. I just begin a new channel to avoid a too long catalog for collectionCB2. Corentin Boissier (collectionCB, collectionCB2 and collectionCB3)
Merveilleux - très, très lyrique. Merci boucoup! JCHB a raison; les compositeurs du XXe siècle aurait dû écouter leur cœurs et les amateurs de concerts, les "concert-goers," au lieu des enseignants de la musique avant-garde! Ted Wilks
I love this concerto. You have featured many women composers but this music is the first to make it into my favourites folder. Corentin, Do you want to place a "must be heard" in the tiltle? I really think it is worth it.
Do you mean you will no longer upload videos to Collection CB2 from 24 March? And that from 25 March you will upload to a new channel Collection CB3? Will CollectionCB2 remain?
A totally agreeable, but totally forgettable, concerto, Coultard's opus offers none of the inspirational genius of Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, Saint-Saens, Ravel, etc. After its thought-provoking opening measures, it reached the point of total disinterest about seven minutes in. I don't think I'll be listening to any more of her works anytime soon.
This is a great concerto. Highly entertaining and pleasant.
The orchestra is the CBC Vancouver Orchestra.

Vraiment très beau. Quel dommage qu'à la même époque, les compositeurs français de musique tonale se voyaient muselés par l'idéologie dominante.

nice
interesting second movement
Lovely music, she maintains an original voice most of the time, some of bravura sounds a bit contrived; looking forward to repeated listens
