This is so far the best remix I've found for this. Everyone else lost what made the song good. This is just direct enhancement.
Discovered this during the commute this morning and about 3/4 of the way through, looked down and realized I had unintentionally accelerated an additonal 15MPH or so. Fucking awesome.

Seriously though, this is hands down the best version of this song and I will be playing it when I get to the chase in the FF7 Remake since it was changed and the small snippet I listed to fell under the "It's alright." Man Crazy Motorcycle is my favorite song from ff7. I've listened to a lot of remakes and this is the first one that i think would genuinely be a good fit for the actual remade game. Electric guitar is so good for this song/scene. Every other remake i've heard just sounds a bit slow or weak but this one really fits the scene of a fast highway escape.
no lie this is what they should of used in the remake. I honestly think this is the one song they messed up in remake this would of been a perfect fit. Id love to get my hands on the flac file instead of listening through youtube

This is really good! I was wondering how they would recompose this track for the remake and well.. I'm not a fan of the new one, it's a completely different track (Lay Down Some Rubber). The first minute of the song started with the same melody and was building up to something great, then the drop happens... ugh. Switches to something completely different.. It's not a bad song in and of itself maybe, but not a good 'remake' version imo, being very different.
I found this checking out different versions here and it feels like a proper successor tbh. The metal is perfect for this track. There are actually a lot of metal themed tracks in the remake as well, so I'm not sure why they didn't do it for this track, of all tracks in the game! Why? Your take on it was pretty much what I was expecting the remake's version to sound like. It fits that part of the game perfectly. Awesome take on the original. Good shit man!

@@thatloner2831 Wow how did I miss that? Got em mixed up with the first motorcycle scene I guess since it starts out with the same melody. I had to look up the scene again, there's so much going on you can barely hear it in-game, and I skipped that scene on the second playthough as well. I guess that is the remake version.. Great track, but I still prefer this composition, has more bite to it as well :D

Comment 2: The Updating
Well, I just got through FFVII Remake and yup, I was right. I've been through both motorcycle sections. I have done them with the game's soundtrack and with this one. Hands down, this is better than the game's soundtrack by several orders of magnitude and made those scenes sooooo much better. Now that I hop around in the chapters, I have gone back in to those bike scenes a few times specifically to listen to this in those sections. Fangirl is pleased!
