Brooke I’m thinking about letting Potomac go for good as well. This storyline is xenophobic and culturally insensitive. It’s obvious that Nneka is doing the green eyed bandits bidding so they won’t be called colorists. This franchise needs a shakeup and half of the cast needs to be fired.

I couldn't believe they would be talking about something like this on the Real Houswive franchise.smh Also, it evident that some of these ladies don't like each other its so sad. I can't mentally handle this show anymore. This should be a fun escape for us watching BP living a luxury life, but it's the opposite.

I was so pissed with Wendy!!!!! I couldn’t believe she pulled Mia to the side to reconcile! She looked desperate, erratic and weird!!! Even Mia was shocked!!!! Just a hot mess!!

Wendy chose to believe what Ashley told her about Nneke, which tells me she wanted to have an issue with Nneke. I think Wendy is being insecure with another Nigerian being on the show.
@@chica4530Huh? That makes absolutely no sense. I think Wendy has heard some things about Nneka and thought it was a low she was capable of descending to. I still blame her for believing Ashley but I think Nneka’s reputation and character as we have evidently seen on the show preceded her and that was why it was easy for Wendy to believe. Also, Wendy was probably being cautious around Nneka but wasn’t going to react but as Candiace stated, we can’t fault her for her mother’s actions.

From what I've seen the Nigerian and African communities are not happy with Nneka and her comments. There are a lot of people on social media dragging her and saying this needs to be her first and last season.
Someone said it on Twitter, it's funny how everyone wanted to drag Candiace for saying "yo momma" to Mia back in season 6 but no one is up in arms over Nneka calling Wendy's mother a witch. People are blinded by their hatred for Candiace and Wendy they'll ignore the hypocrisy and double standards.
I don't understand why Nneka is trying to act like Eddie and Ike were best friends or something. There are people I have as friends on Facebook who I have never even met and I don't even remember how we became Facebook friends. Knowing someone and knowing of someone are two different things. For example, I know of my friend's cousin and somehow, I don't remember, we ended up being Facebook friends despite the fact that I have never met him a day in my life. I couldn't even tell you what his voice sounds like. If he unfriends me I'm not going to lose sleep over it nor do I think he would if I unfriended him.
I definitely think this will be Nneka's first and last season!!! For sure! Majority of the viewers can't stand her and her personality is very flat! She's not giving us anything except her having money!!

Brooke, can we say TRASH! There is a level of denial from RHOP Production when it comes to what viewers want. Nneka and her aggression was NOT needed at this time. Oh absolutely!! Nneka looked so aggressive and foolish and Wendy looked weird acting so erratic and then scrambling for Mia's approval at the last minute! I was too done!! I think the problem starts with production. If I am not mistaken, their job is to produce, which means they’re able to stop this foolishness.

The season she foolishly introduced her boobs and new body to the cast, pretty much sealed her fate of all the ladies hating on her. Don't ask me why, but that's when the wheels of hatred truly began. None of the ladies have a real reason to hate on her, bc her power on the show is so mynute and minimal. And truth be told, I never liked Wendy and her degrees from day one....that was another moment that soured the ladies and the fans....if I was on a show and nobody liked me, I'd leave.
We know exactly why Gizelle can get past the nasty things Ashley and Karen have said to her over the years but can’t get past Candiace or Wendy ✋🏽✋🏾✋🏿. She only accepts apologies from ppl who pass the paper bag test. They think they can scrape past the colorist allegations but it’s still plain as day.

It took a few seasons for Gizelle, Karen and Ashley to get over their issues. Candiace and Wendy aren't talking to Gizelle either, so it's not just Gizelle holding a grudge. These women just don't like each other which is unfortunate. Remember Karen and Gizelle were friends before they were on the show, so I can see why they forgave each other.

I think episode 3 of this season had Potomac’s lowest viewership in a very long time. I hope that decline continues and sends a message to Bravo producers because it’s been too long. Everywhere I go, people who used to love the show are complaining about either how dark the subject matter has become or how disinterested they are altogether. They need a shakeup and fast. Also, let’s get Ashley out of here. Nobody likes her.

Ashley’s divorce and house story have flip flopped too much. She’s faking something and I think it’s that.
In fact the only time I perceived Ashley to be “genuine” is when she was taking up for Monique. But even at that, it might have been a game to sideways diss Candiace.

I think Nneka is playing with the timeline, because if all this "shrine" talk happened before filming,(even though in interview present day she says what Ashely did blew things up) then the first scene with Nneka and Ashely meet would of went differently. Nneka didnt know what kind of doctor Wendy was, she only meet her in passing, also at Ashely "house warming" wouldnt Nneka said oh my cousin-in-law is friends with your sister etc. It also makes sense that Wendy would say no to bringing her on if she was trying to get her actual friend Keriana on.

That is how much I cannot stand majority of the cast anymore .the only reason I don’t want Candace or Wendy to leave is because I don’t want them to give colorist crew the satisfaction. But it’s difficult to watch them be targeted like this season after season , relentlessly! Like what is wrong with production seriously!! I have zero interest in watching "War of the Nigerians." These are conversations that shouldn't be held in mixed company. Also, Nneka comes off as a fan who took notes and is still applying them in the exact wrong way. She didnt learn from Phaedra? Just because I saw Beyoncé at the concert doesn't mean I know her.
This season is disappointing. I no longer care about any of these women or the dynamics. None of them are true friends except for Robyn and Giselle.
At this point...Andy and Bravo need to pay Carlos King WHATEVER he asks to get him to come back and produce RHOP and RHOA.
He has his flaws but he was damn good at his job.
Spotlighting their ACTUAL lives, injecting mess where need be and above all...keeping the women on task about earning their mfn check and coming to WORK!
I agree!! Carlos King would not allow this kind of storyline to go on!! As messy as he is he would have definitely been getting into the GEBs for hiding their lives and dragging Ashley for her behavior! It would def be more balanced!!

I give grace to Wendy cause it’s very hard having to be strong all the time, and feeling like there’s a target on your back. It’s unfair! I feel for her. It’s entertainment for us but it’s probably very hurtful what she has to go through with this group in front of the world. Show Wendy some grace. But yeah I would have paid Nneka dust! And the laughed in her face, but I can be very cold when necessary cause I’ve had a lot of practice. But not everyone is good at being harsh

Wendy’s behavior was cringe. When she got up and started to twirl around and dance in response to Nneka’s accusations, I was embarrassed for her. She is way too intelligent for that. When she called Mia for a huddle, it was a very transparent stunt. She should have responded calmly to Nneka and explained that she is not aware of any communication that her mother and sister had with Nneka’s in-laws. She could have told Nneka that she would discuss the matter with her family, and the two could have arranged a one-on-dinner. Just diffuse the situation. No need for the theatrics. I’m sure Wendy is embarrassed. There is no way Nneka and her husband are proud of themselves either. These two couples have clients, customers and employers who are watching this foolishness. Make it stop!😢. The subject matter is too dark for housewives.

I never could get into Wendy....when she started touting every season her 4 degree's demanding respect and that mammy of hers treating ppl like crap, I was done with her. I'm glad you clocked Wendy's behavior after Nneka made the accusation. She didn't really deny it. She kept saying "I never called you." But Nneka didn't say she did. She said her sister & mother called her cousin-in-law. I thought that was odd. Also, Mia trying to read anyone for not having a job is laughable considering her own situation. Juan's reaction to Karen's speech was telling. A close friend I watch the show with pointed out that maybe the whole "Juan hugged me inappropriately" situation isn't the first time him & Karen have had friction. I can definitely see that because of the face he made & then him storming off. Like that wasn't the first time.
Wendy, Candiace and Karen are the only ones with actual WEALTH and have something going on. Especially seeing the dynamic of family with Wendy and her children, Candiace and her marriage with kids in the future too etc, the dynamic of housewives was marriage, children, wealth, luxury, fun shade, some dramatic moments and FRIENDSHIP - which cant happen when you have robin, gizelle, ashley and now mia. They dont show any of the above in any vital way and are too cruel and spiteful, they have literally ruined the dynamic of their own show. Very embarrassing and disappointing. It's not interesting to watch, in fact it gives a lot of people an off feeling seeing such vile behaviour. They aren't likeable.

This is the third or fourth season where Candace or Wendy have been to target. Giselle and Robin and Ashley have no business being upset with Wendy or Candace. It baffles me how Gisele and Robin and Ashley will initiate conflict and as soon as they get a response all of a sudden they’re the victim they don’t understand what the problem is. I have been over this show. I have not watched since last season, and I have no intentions on ever watching again if they keep the same cast.

Hear me out please, as a nigerian I can 100% assure you that Nnekas story about the call from Wendy’s mom talking about her prayer shrine and they should ask about her and people who she’s prayed against before is 1000% credible and that is a VERY real reflection of how nigerian moms move when they feel slighted. I don’t believe Nneka added any sauce. Many devout catholics do have prayer shrines, that’s normal. A typical nigerian Christian mom WILL weaponise their prayers against their perceived adversaries. 100%. The reason why Wendy couldn’t address it and instead chose to start dancing around and running to make up with Mia is cos Wendy either knows her mom said that or knows her mom could’ve said it and she wanted to change the subject. Wendy is an intelligent woman and will hold her own in any situation. If she had a defence for her mom in that situation she would have refuted it 10 toes down. Instead she chose to misrepresent and undermine Nnekas account by claiming that Nneka said she called her cousin when she knows good and well that Nneka said her mom called her cousin. I agree Nneka probably shouldn’t have brought it up within the group but holding that against her would be a double standard because that is the template for these shows, bring up mess in a group for drama.
I also think we’re giving Wendy too much grace in this situation and not enough to Nneka possibly because there is some feeling that she’s doing the GEB’s bidding? I don’t think it’s fair to allow a dislike of Giselle and Robyn to seep into the way we see other interactions in this group. Nneka has very legitimate reasons to be at odds with Wendy that has nothing to do with being used by the GEBs or wanting to do their bidding. Wendy has not been nice to or about Nmeka. It was obvious from their very first scene when they met at Ashley’s housewarming that Wendy was giving off I don’t know you vibes. I found it surprising because Nneka had just said in a confessional before their meeting scene that she’d met Wendy before, she didn’t say they were friends, she said she’d met her before, the way Wendy acted when meeting her is mirroring Karen’s reception of Wendy when she first joined, the whole I don’t know you vibe even though Wendy and Karen had been on committees together. I found it strange to watch without knowing the backstory but it all makes more sense now. How is Wendy going to meet someone called Nneka and then act surprised when Ashley says you guys have a lot in common? Like ma”am her name is freaking Nneka, that’s the most common Igbo girl name there is, it’s just weird asking oh, what do we have in common when you already know she’s from the same country and tribe as you. Nneka had to laughingly shout, my name is Nneka! Like duh!, it immediately looked like she didn’t want to get along with Nneka who was friendly and giggly with her while she was being cool and standoffish in return. Now that we know the backstory of Wendy thinking Nneka had been going around using her name for clout Wendy’s attitude makes sense. It wasn’t right but now I understand what was going on cos without the context it looked to me like Wendy just wanted to dislike the other nigerian on sight. All that taken together with Wendy’s mom and sister calling around about Nneka and issuing warnings etc, then Eddie unfollowing her husband on FB and acting like they’ve never met before, again Nneka never said they were friends, she said they went to college together and were members of the African students union together. They obviously know each other for Eddie to have followed him in the first place? how is it that we’re acting like Nneka doesn’t have a right to feel slighted and is just being messy? Why are we invalidating all Nneka’s legitimate complaints and dismissing them as no big deal? Wendy and her people have played dirty in this situation both on and off camera but we’re looking at Nnekas on camera reactions and we’re minimising Wendy’s actions and piling on Nneka? No that ain’t right sis.

I think Wendy removing herself from the conversation to talk to Mia, is her way of not giving Desperately Seeking Susan the platform and attention she was craving. Wendy doesn’t know her, so why go back and forth? She knows Mia and would rather deal with the devil she knows than someone that thirsty.
This is a work environment for Wendy and Candiace. They know they have to work across the color barrier to continue on in the show. I think it’s messed up that it’s always the darker hue people who have to carry that responsibility.
College Park is a MASSIVE campus and community. The idea that Eddie would know one of the other 30,000+ students who happened to be there is silly!

As a Nigerian, I can see Wendy’s mom saying the things but have in mind that Nigerians (especially the older generation) are dramatic/hyperbolic (all the shrine talk) and praying against enemies is very much a thing in the same vein as “no weapon formed against me shall prosper; every tongue that rises against me shall fall”. Nneka being Nigerian knows this too so her playing it up for the cameras is so stupid and desperate.
Wendy really needs to tighten up. I also wish she tackled this head on from when she met Nneka at Ashley’s house. This “I don’t know her like that” strategy doesn’t hold up considering all the pre-filming drama.

I agree that I think Wendy wanted to be the only Nigerian on the show. If she did not, then it makes no sense at all that Wendy did not bring Necka in like they do with housewives because as we know, they typically don’t know each other prior to that. Karen did not know Mia, classic example: Porsha did not know Falynn. Wendy and Necka actually have people in common and are familiar with each other prior to the show. So why would it not make sense to have Wendy introduce her instead of Ashley? This is where Wendy is messing up because it’s clear that she knew who she was AND Eddie knew Necka’s husband but they’re lying about it. So she either already didn’t like her prior, or didn’t want her to be on the show and felt threatened that they were bringing necka to get rid of her.

I decided that last season was truly my last season and I watch the recaps! Wendy and Candiace needs to leave and let Nneka stay and see what's really up! Gizelle is colorist just like her daddy was.
Brooke, I think you’re right about the events before the initial phone call. Nneka’s also playing on words to distort the timeline. After the initial call from Ivy to Lebe inquiring about Nneka using Wendy’s name behind her back and all over town, Ashley’s housewarming party happened and she told Wendy that Nneka brought up something about her being osu. So Wendy goes back to tell her family that “the new girl who was using my name all over town is now saying that our family is Osu.” Then the second call happened between Ivy and Lebe where she’s now really furious and another call from Wendy’s mom probably took place too. If you watch the video call between Nneka and Lebe, Lebe mentioned that the topic of the 2nd call was something she didn’t want to be a part of (osu). That was probably when Wendy’s mom cursed her out to her cousin-in-law. But Nneka came on camera to give the impression that Wendy’s family had been harassing her family for weeks prior to filming. That’s a lie. The first call regarding her was just between friends- Ivy and Lebe, Ivy asking her friend what’s up with her cousin’s wife who they don’t really know using Wendy’s name all over town without even reaching out to Wendy to introduce herself properly (since they had only met in passing previously) before continuing to act like they’re friends all over town for the sake of the show. The second call was the heated one because now the family just heard that the said girl is going on camera to drag the family’s name for no reason. And we all know it was because of Ashley. Nneka also knew this because Ashley had told her but because she just wanted to have a problem with Wendy at all cost, she tried to distort the timeline and escalated things by calling Wendy a b word for no reason instead of clarifying and connecting the dots. If she had not escalated things during that conversation, Wendy would have squashed things despite Nneka using her name all over town. But Nneka wanted the mess to continue and that was why her thirsty butt escalated things.

Wendy and Nneka are both sad. The fact that Nneka is using a colonized, anti-black mindset to attack Wendy. I like Wendy, but despite all her degrees, she never really says anything remotely profound or non-basic. Wendy is the most educated person on the show, but I actually find Candiace to be the most articulate in expressing her thoughts. In fact, I would argue that Zen's current strategy of defense sounds as pathetic, silly, and respectability politics-laden as when she and Gizzard were claiming that Monique's psychotic violence was a stain upon all black women versus it being solely reflective of Mo's own birdbrain issues. Like I said, for someone who is so supposedly erudite, I never find Wendy to be profound or enlightening at all.
