I feel almost as sad watching the last Atlanta reaction from these guys as I did watching the series finale. This is one of my favorite shows of all time and it really helped when it came back during the pandemic.
For my money Atlanta is one of the best shows ever made. It’s unapologetically itself, says what it wants to say with its full chest, and leaves on its own terms. If it’s not for you that’s your problem.
Yoo if you like Kendrick films I also recommend David Lean films. They are 60s films but the they are incredible. He did movies like Lawrence of Arabia and Dr Zhivago (my favorite film of all time). They are long epics but utterly beautiful with amazing stories and actors. I recommend it a lot! By the way great reaction and I love your channel!
Weird story but the day after I watched Al’s episode I got fingerprinting done for my job at a super small hole in the wall background check place in Long Beach. “Al’s background check”. The owner was a nice older black gentleman named Al. At one point I sat down and saw he had a dead rat lodged in his air conditioner but he didn’t notice because he couldn’t bend down that low. I plucked it out for him and it didn’t even hit me until later how odd it was that those two things happened right after each other.
Al’s finale episode is perfect. My favorite episode of the show. It is such an interesting nuanced way to show a character’s arc. He clearly grew & learned lessons along the way but not entirely. He’s still himself. He’s still overly self reliant but he’s let people in along the way and gotten marginally better about it.

I had been waiting years for the show to end with Darius waking from a dream and when they actually did it I was impossibly pleased.
You mentioned “if I told you this was a Jordan peele production you’d believe me”.
For me if someone told me Atlanta was A24 I’d believe it.
Atlanta surrealism stands up to Twin Peaks any day. Donald Glover & crew really earned a place next to David Lynch.
Christmas comes early!!!! Better than a Pink Maserati driven by a thick Judge Judy!

20:34 😂 the number of times I’ve done something similar to the mirror “you…are…sober…” moment 😂
