Doug, I enjoyed watching you enjoy that MRE! My younger son gave me a case of MREs, but I do not remember the brand name. I'll have to field test/taste one of them & compare it with yours! I hope that I'll enjoy mine as much you enjoyed yours. Blessings on you & yours!

That looked pretty good never ate m.r.e star .you will have extras that comes in handy later I always kept the extras and they add up

What was the average cost per meal & which camcorder? Thnx God bless
the MRE Star Complete Meals were sent to me by Prepared Bee. Presently a case of 12 meals is $139.49 on their website. preparedbee.com/products/mre-star-m-018h-military-meal-ready-to-eat-rations The cameras are Canon Vixias. One is HFR30 and the other is HFR300. I modified them to be able to use wide angle lenses, etc. The external mic is Takstar. These are low cost options that I think work well enough. I want really low budget because filming in the woods in all types of weather is tough on the cameras. I don't want to spend thousands and break it the first week. The older model Canon Vixa HFR's can be found on Ebay some times for $30 or $40. In person, Facebook Marketplace, etc they might even be cheaper than that.

Be careful eating to many in a row
I've only tried the one (menu 2, Jambalaya). But from that I don't think it would have the same constipation issue as the old, US military MREs. But, still what you are saying is a very good caution.
@DougShoeBushcraft some of the newer, 3 or 4 years ago,US ones had some good menu items.
