Your Chinese is pretty good. Good for you. Lots of Thai Chinese I have met could barely speak any Mandarin Chinese, may be things are changing now in Thailand. The new Z-generation young Thai might be more eager to learn Chinese as a second or third language. Btw, lots of Myanmar-Chinese like me from Northern part of Myanmar could speak and write Chinese very well since we have Chinese language school literally from kindergarten to grade 12. 😊😊😊 It's a shame that you will stay in China for merely 4 weeks. Initially I thought you would stay there like a year or two at least. 🎉🎉🎉祝妳 🙏🙏新年快樂，兔年大吉，一展宏“兔”🎉🎉🎉

If you are talking about renting apartment in both areas I would say they are going to be extremely expensive and I didn't have my direct experience of apartment hunting in that areas :) But if you are talking about the hotel stay, I would recommend the bund side, since you can enjoy magnificent view of Lujiazui better in my opinion!
Did you feel the hot auntie was a bit too friendly and did she ask you for WeChat 😂 I like the Bund too - hope to visit again when China re-opens to tourists.
The hot auntie was being very friendly! She didn’t ask me for my wechat but she asked me to travel around with her that day 😂 I didn’t go through but she’s a very lively person 🌈 and yes the Bund is amazing!
