I am Zimbabwean. My father used to play this song around the 80s. When I was in primary school. I didn't understand the lyrics but just used to put my own words. I was looking for this song for years but because I didn't know the name it took me years. I had to look for this song coz my father used to play it for us every weekend and during Christmas 🌲. I love Kiswahili ❤❤

Ofcourse it was the VOK radio station that gave us the opportunity to hear this wonderful number.Later as a football player we invited the maroon commandoes to perform on weekends in Narok to facilitate us travel to entire south Riftvalley and play the provincial league.Between 1982 and 1990 they visited our town to perform at a fee.Long live Langata barracks boys.
Every moment I listen to whole song my whole floats to worlds that are hard to touch yet I become part of the fantasy. I shall never understand the language in which this magnificent piece is sung their instrumentation delivers to the shores of gratitude to God for such wonderful gift of Kenyan music
My favourite at Ranalo - kosewe foods . Meet maroon commnados live band with their best foot forward - the violins, the guitars , drumbeats and the soloists yawah had mid-night.
❤❤❤ this song, the instruments makes my day brighter....some songs even brought peace in our country...I don't understand dha language but I like the song so much... I mis the Kenya of 90s though I was a junior by then❤❤❤❤
