What is the Amendment in the Child adoption leave rules?

Amendments to the Child adoption leave
• DOPT vide its Gazette Notification GSR.374(E) dated 15.5.2023 amended the Rule 43-AA in sub rule 1
• On accepting a child in pre adoption foster care or on valid adoption of a child below one year age, Paternity leave may be granted for 15 days within a period of six months.
• Child adoption leave for a period of 180 days is eligible as per Rule 43 - B
• If not valid adoption the leave availed shall be debited from any other kind of leave.
