All they are showing is true...they completely transformed our Village specialy by increasing the capacity of galniya talab now it can hold water for 2 years that helped villagers to earn extra income by livestock. Now uou can see full grown forest here but there were countable neem khejri and Babul present then.. I want to thanks manvendra and his team on the behalf of the our Village..

This is so good to see. My Geography teacher 15 years ago (an old man even back then) tought us that this kind of thing is almost impossible. It always struck me as nonsensical because if there is enough precipitation and the ground is not horribly contaminated with toxic things like mine tailings and smelter slag it HAS to be possible to restore the ecosystem. Glad to see this (and similar things happening on other continents like that old guy in texas..)

They have more power, reach, manpower, knowledge & economical backup to succeeded in such effort in not just to a particular area but across whole country. when you build - do so out of earthen material, eg. cob house, rammed earth etc - take inspiration from not only trad. rajasthani motifs, but also look to places further afield such as 'Timbuktu' and similar environments in Africa & East-Asia's desert regions...Timbuktu looks beyond impressive..using only earth and wood to make 'sky-scrapers' - also the Yemen has wonderful mud brick towns of 5000 years and more - Arabia has many many solutions to env. challenges you face, for more urbanised desert living without the usual problems arising, Iran too , many ancient towns with systems still surviving till today you will relish....perfect for you in this modern age of rediscovering the Grand Vedic inspirations of Simple-living with High Thinking - I commend your projects and wish you all success xx Ki Jaya!

This video and part 1 should be shown in every Biology and Ecology class in US high schools. We spend too much time on the details of cell division or glycolysis, for example, and the students never get any framework for what ecology looks like when all the plants and animals are working together to build and sustain a living system.
Ispiring and absolutely do-able. This reminded me of the exdellent documentary on kenyan tree planter, Wangari Maathai. The documentary is Takng Root: The Vision of Wangai Maathai. Well worth watching. Locals planted tree saplings by hand, word spread to nearby villages, more locals planted saplings and then the "government officials" had a different opinion....

Vegetation and natural water management are the most viable sustainable natural ecosystems for peaceful living and survival. We can not ignore the fact of living with water and soils ! Regards.
I once flew over India (from dubai to jakarta) and when i looked down it was mostly a barren waste land below with lots of poor villages and towns.. all deforrested and grazed barren to the soil, and set up for monoculture agriculture. Back then i despaired that this sort of solutions would never be tried. I am So, So, glad this initiative worked out so well, and that by returning to the old systems of water capture and management the land has become habitable and biodiverse again. I understood that these old structures are actually still around in many parts of india, though often in serious dis-repair. Would it not be a good idea to restore those to their former(working) situations? It would save tons of work instead of creating entire new ones first. And these old repaired ones might actually make it easier to create new ones adjacent to them, so they can spread out easily.
It is possible to work together to change desert to green leaves. I supporting all of you and your good worked. It is so great ideas to starting and have done. 👍👌✊💪💦🌧🏞🌳🌳🌳🌾🌾🌾🐏🐑🐫

AGROFORESTRY is simply wonderful. It enriches the Soil. Future generations need not worry about desertification. SAVE SOIL.
