This song to me is Lana trying to justify the fact that she’s dating a married man by saying “but you haven’t seen my man”, and continuing to name what she sees in him “he’s got the fire, and he walks with it”, but then again she’s sad because he’s not hers “His Bonnie on the side, makes me a sad, sad girl”. The last part i guess is him trying to manipulate her maybe, and her reminding him how much power she has bc she is his lover “Watch what you say to me, careful who you’re talking to.” One of my faves forever.

If you want super experimental you should do Mermaid Motel- I love getting a glimpse into her mind in that song because the mindset you have to be in to write that cool dark experimental music is insane- if you know you know. And it's sick to see what she was doing/ how experimental she can be/ was.
