It’s a small thing but I truly think the line is actually “Like a boss WHO sang jazz and blues”. It changes the meaning a lot..I feel like she was trying to imply her modern day Italian lover who beatboxes and raps in the rain (he’s wild, passionate, etc) is similar to an old time Italian mafia boss who I guess also sang (he’s violent, but cultured, passionate, wild, etc)
glad you liked it. i have always felt lana's writing style changes for every album and on honeymoon, it's very deceptive and mysterious which fits perfectly with the whole cinematic feel of this album. one will need quite a lot of time to fully understand the whole storytelling in it. perhaps my most fav lana album.

Every artcore channel was pumping out Lana fan made mv's to Honeymoon songs and I had to watch every film they used from Valerie and her week of wonders, eugenie de sade, psych out for murder, la belle captive and a whole lot more art films/avantgarde.💖💖💖 Honeymoon brought Cinema back🦋
