He's just as headstrong as ragna, has just as much as an attitude and brash language as you've seen with his interaction with ragna and can be just a dense as seen in the novel. The only difference is that naoto's trauma was different. When ragna lost his family it was because of terumi. When naoto lost his family it was just a freak accident that his saya lost control of her drive and even then he still had some family left to cope with. All ragna had was jubei and rachel neither of which really tried to help him with his aggression and only answered his questions with vague answers. The never tried to make persuade ragna that his way if life was bad they just told him what he was going up against and let him be.
