He's not lying- if a human enters the Susano'o Unit their body is destroyed. Furthermore they're stuck with the much weaker Hakumen form; as it's his actual body, only Terumi gets the full perks.
Susanoo and Hakumen are one and the same. Susanoo is the original that went insane. Hakumen was designed as his replacement after he had ditched his body. Hakumen is what Susanoo once was.

First off, LOVE Susano's English voice. It just screams badass. Second, It's so weird to see him so chill with most of the cast and I'm really disappointed that he doesn't have interactions with the other Blazblue cast. Real missed opportunity there. Considering most characters get around 12 interactions (except for Yu cause he's the protagonist of a social simulator), it makes sense they'd want to spread it out between the series a bit more
He’s done quite a lot-and how interesting it is that his voice effect is so similar to that of Merkava’s Ben Diskin, being that they played Vlad and Darnic in Fate/Apocrypha, whose voices became nearly indistinguishable when they merged. 😏

References Susanoo being the Yosuke’s ultimate persona. 2. Both are trapped and seek freedom (Susanoo: freedom to destroy without essentially being Amaterasu’s janitor. Yosuke: freedom from working at his fathers store in a crappy town in the middle of nowhere.) 3. Terumi’s yellow eyes, evil grin and use of knives give him a similar look to Yosuke’s shadow. As well as the fact that they both feed on fear and hatred.

A bit late but add on that its philosophy is scary close to the attitude of his own shadow? Wanting to find entertainment in the destruction of others and, a sense of freedom from its disliked circumstances?
Christ, Ragna and Susano'o's paired outro REALLY sells you on the fact that having both of them together is a serious threat to whoever they're up against.
Given how the Susano'o Unit works when someone other than Terumi enters it, it'd essentially be Hakumen but with a scythe. Though that does raise the question: would Ruby still be able to use her semblance? Susano'o wasn't lying in that post-victory monologue- if a human enters the Susano'o Unit their original body is completely destroyed (Hakumen was only put in it because his human body was damaged beyond use anyway). She'd at the very least lose the Silver Eyes permanently.

First off, LOVE Susano's English voice. It just screams badass.

I think this would work for multiple reasons. 1. References Susanoo being the Yosuke’s ultimate persona.
2. Both are trapped and seek freedom (Susanoo: freedom to destroy without essentially being Amaterasu’s janitor. Yosuke: freedom from working at his fathers store in a crappy town in the middle of nowhere.)
3. Terumi’s yellow eyes, evil grin and use of knives give him a similar look to Yosuke’s shadow. As well as the fact that they both feed on fear and hatred.

Given how the Susano'o Unit works when someone other than Terumi enters it, it'd essentially be Hakumen but with a scythe. Though that does raise the question: would Ruby still be able to use her semblance? Susano'o wasn't lying in that post-victory monologue- if a human enters the Susano'o Unit their original body is completely destroyed (Hakumen was only put in it because his human body was damaged beyond use anyway). She'd at the very least lose the Silver Eyes permanently.
