One underrated card in Ancient Box is Hisuian Heavy Ball to get any prized moons, ninja ect, and even getting the fodder pokemon like mane and wake could be pretty important
I finish 6th in a league challengue with the help of koraidon, i could finish higher but i match a pidegot control with noiver the fire would save there
Every player I play against thats on Ancients apparently always hits every card they need. But when I try the deck at my Locals I brick half my rounds. Sometimes this deck doesnt operate.
I love how nobody believed in this deck when it first came up but now everyone has to say least consider it after it won tournaments and makes consistent day 2.
I would put water energy in this deck just so you can use it to take revenge KOs on Garde Drifloons and scream tail without having to use a Moon. Sometimes that can be the difference.
The issue is that it's one matchup and most of the time that could be an 8th darkness energy that makes the difference in more matchups or a good tech for a bad matchup
@@somewhathandsome5288 I guess. It can be used as a retreat cost too, which comes up a lot as well. its not like its a fully dead card that aside. Garde at the time of posting was the most popular deck by far everywhere, so really not a crazy thing to tech for when its one water energy that hits the discard anyways most times
I've been testing Scream Tail ex a little bit and I like the idea of shutting off supporters on my opponents turn 2 even though it's a 2 prize liability. It's also a 1 retreat cost and has greater hp than Walking Wake.
Secret box seems good, maybe a bit better than drum, but scary to draw into after lategame iono. Ive always liked roxanne in this deck and have been thinking about unfair stamp, is there a reason no one plays it? I get that pretty often you get a big hand but still seems decent

180 damage is solid but requiring 3 energy is a lot to ask in this deck, especially when two are water. Running just a few fighting energy could mess with your attachments for turn, and WW requires even more water than Koraidon did Fighting
You usually do have a big hand when playing Ancients unless you get hand disrupted. Even then, the odds of hitting your one-of Awakening drum are so small, that the Iono point you made here doesnt offset what Secret Box does for your earlygame. Instant Vessel/ultra/nest ball, Sada, Ancient capsule and Pokestop. Kind of insane.
I still think koraidon is better, ive had games where ive actually benched 5 ancients to threaten 2hkos on big things like zard while preserving the roaring moons for another turn so they would be more potent. I think playing 1 penny really helps avoid the main problem koraidon has.
I was one of the 5 people that day 2'd NAIC with Ancient Box, walking wake is definitely better, I just wish I had tested with secret box
You didn't day two naic where's your evidence
The crazy thing about the walking wake debate is that I was expecting to see water energy. Then I realized it's just about retreat cost and HP.

I do like the heavy ball but it's hard to find the space for it
@@AzulGG True, I just cut 1 nest and compensate with 2 artazon or 1 artazon 4 nest
Still only a fan of koraidon atm due to the popularity of regidrago on the ladder so shred is useful still imo
I just can't justify playing the fire energy, personally
it feels so Clunky to play fighting + fire energy in this deck, and being a two cost retreat is such a pain especially u start with it

I’ve always respected the Ancient Box so much. To this day with my deck, it’s my worst matchup it feels like.
It's funny because ever since I have played lost box agianst my ancient box deck it's like I don't even sweat it. And Lost Box is top 3 for BDIF

theres no kieran in your original list but we can see it in gameplay did you cut something for it?
Hello guys, i saw kieran in the game but no in the list, you cut great tusk for him or an other card ?
With no penny? This way this list is weak againts control,no? Once we dont have how atack with greninja and suicune. Just asking guys, chill
Another thing. The fact that ironhands is in alot of decks of the meta, he can Get 2 prizes easily on suicune, and he have 10 hp less than koraidon 🤨
Bro fighting ghosts in the comments 💀

I’m Ngl I feel the walking wake is a little weird I rather have an alternative beater in the form of koraidon 🥰
Should you go first or second with this deck?
first
This is wrong, go second. You really need to get supporters off immediately with this deck.
i just cant justify walking wake just for the fact that hes weak to amp you very much in a one prizer deck
Hi azul! Could you or maybe someone explain how i could join online tournaments to practice?

I think that’s my local store
Would you consider tuning the deck adding a few water energy as well so walking wake could attack too?

Secret Box is only useful when you have a big hand; drums are good at any point in the game AND they unbrick you after a lategame Iono
Nah
So you go, secret box search awakening drum

how does walking wake attack with no water energy?
only because of the 1 retreat cost
It’s only in the deck to be discarded
Its easier to switch out than koraidon and koraidon is a trash attacker
Its not to attck with it, just to discard or if it stuck on active it have 1 retreat cost which koraidon have 2 thats why its better
