Wow, if I were to go to Australia sometime. I'd feel right at home with some of the ebells and mechanicals.
Except with left hand driving
Same.
Same
do u like big spiders tho?
@@drummachine434 ummmm no. I did hear about that though, made me cringe hard.
In Seymour there are second generation Westinghouse hybrid bells both with different gong sounds. The hybrid bells on the school house lane crossing sound close to a Westinghouse tear drop bell
Yes, I know about those crossings. Thanks for the info
oh I wants both signs!
Also I'd love to go thru those piles of bells
2:46 my favourite bell
My favorite bell also is 1:52
Awesome video, it's really good you've filmed a lot of these bells. It's really sad that we mostly have way too many Safetran Type 3's in Victoria as well as General Signals Type 2's and it sucks that the hybrid bells are slowly disappearing and that other mechanical bells are getting rare.
Level Crossing Fan Thanks , yes
In South Australia, we have way too many safetran 3s.
Same in Victoria. It sucks that V/Line still use them. The Siemens electronic bells are now loud and scratchy too.
I love the introduction
same
Uh huh 😁😁😁😁
I like how these are American bells too
this is the most american video ever from an Australian channel but I love it. especially at 2:02
My favourite bells are Westinghouse hybrid, Mc&h teardrop bell, Westinghouse teardrop, WCH, WRRS and flat Mckenzie and Holland flat teardrop bells and not to mention flat Westinghouse hybrids
A fantastic database of bells
Thanks heaps
Fun to watch ! Thanks for this. Greetings from Detroit .
I Have A WCH E-Bell Crossing In Summit Illinois
Cool
2:30 my favorite and 1:52
OMG MY FAVORITE BELL IS THE WCH TYPE BELL THANK YOU FOR ADDING IT
Nice sounds of the bells and congrats on 137 subscribers!
Sam the Railfanner Thanks , yes the bells do sound nice!
Congratulations on 137 subscribers and thanks for featuring my Federal signal mechanical bell
Thanks yeah I though I should feature it as it’s a pretty cool bell!
Well as I looked in the description you need to film a Federal Signal so... How can I help?
Yeah I basically need to film a FS bell without another bell in the background
Well 🤔 Come to my house that’s my advice or you and I film at a passive crossing
With my bell
The Westinghouse teardrop in the fs, and sound pretty cool
2:20 My Favorite
1:46 yodalarm sound
Mr. MetroPack haha didn’t have a better piece of footage at the time and the volume on the bell was down
Applehead 137 Railway Videos about that I also like yodalarm sounds :)
1:08 The crossing sounds like the Castlembart level crossing in County Galway
my dog loved this video thanks
Cool video, congrats on 137 subs :)
McK&H Aust Thank you !
Hi McK&H Aust.
the general signal type 1 bell sounds like a mechcanical bell
Some have some very annoying knocking adjustment tone on tbem
2:46 Greece?
Australia
1:12 I hear a uk alarm
this is the Australian railroad crossing i love your videos 😍
Thanks glad you enjoyed
General sig type 3 I heard Irish railroad crossing too
Cool video! We have all the same bells here in the US
Yes, in Australia we use a lot of US equipment but we do have brands like McK&H and Westinghouse who didn’t really use there equipment overseas
Awesome video mate I absolutely loved it! But MAN, that intro is so cool! (I was your 138th subscriber congratulations!🥳) keep up the great work👍😄!
Arty Lucas Thanks mate , thanks for the subscribe as well . I like my intro as well!
1:17 train horn sounds like hesa fredrik
Great video! 137 is a very unique number!👍 :)
Aspect1 yes very
Applehead 137 Railway Videos well I guess everyone’s unique :)
1:23 if you go to that crossing on google earth theres a street view version thats on a train going through the crossing (the railway crossing is on kilvington dr, Victoria, Australia
No one going to say that at 3:43, the flat bells sounds like the same tempo as the cowbells in Mississippi Queen.
New Subscriber!
My favourite bell is the wch bell
Ayy congrats!!!!
SBMetro Thanks lol, honestly that’s my least favourite bell ever , I don’t like the sound or looking the bell and especially how they are very common compared to m bells and also that pretty much all the m bells get replaced by these bells so yeah no offence but I really don’t see anything good in the bell
@@AH137productions I don't really mind lol
Lol ok :)
Nice timeline video mate.
Hugo The Train Capture 4074. Yeah I did the Ebells first and then the mechanical ones and did them by the manufacturer while adding some other ones at the end
@@AH137productions thats cool.
This my favourite video
0:26 sounds like Union Pacific Railroad Crossing bell
Or cn
Wait why isn't the video upside down
2:30 sounds like xmas bells
Yeee, great video apple, 137 subs, yeeeeee.
Train Hunter Junior Thanks yeeee

(reads description) Safetran type 3 high-pitched is now Siemens high-pitched.
Ah yes teardrop
wig wags. there bells but signals at the same time :o
Parakeet Rolling On A Ball yes they are !
nice
Thanks
Was the Bryant Zinc Co. bell not working or something? Is that why you had to hit it manually with a rock?
The door was rusted shut and I doubt it would have worked from the inside
1:08 I can't hear that bell over the Yodalarm
Yeah ik the pedestrian alarm was so loud there
Where is 3:22 at? Also great video, you should be proud of this masterpiece!
Thanks, gla you enjoyed James! That is at the National Railway Museum in Port Adelaide, great place thats definitely worth checking out!
@@AH137productions wow port adelaide sure it far ..
You Got 400 Subs
Yes I did, thanks for noticing
Thanks! Using this for a music project hhh
No problem, hope your project turns out well!
@@AH137productions Haha thankss it's a workshop with a music producer and we're trying to be creative ^^ I can only imagine how long it took you and the effort to make this cool video.
Wow that’s sounds amazing! Are you going for a more experimental/industrial sort of sound with stuff?
Where is the WRRS bell, I think I saw that in Adelaide, not too sure
The ones near me use safetran 3
The Westinghouse bell in m bells the places in Cherry Street
Why is it that the wig wags are always teardrop bells?
1:08 why is there a YO3 uk level crossing alarm with general signal type 3 on a australian railroad crissing
Pedestrian alarm which was sounding along side the GS bell. A lot of crossings in Victoria, especially Melbourne have these alarms and they’re very loud
Whats that hi lo hi lo sound at 1:47?
It’s a pedestrian crossing alarm
How do u know this
I love the wig wags
cool
1:08 gs type 3 and 2nd bell is name?
And why you did not add Queensland bell
0:18 That’s the bell in America
0:48 - When did you film this footage. You found two rare boom gates! :)
I filmed it back in September 2019 at Miller’s rd Seaholme. I knew the crossing was the last with 2 black and white gates in Australia, unfortunately they were replaced in June 2020
2:01 where is that
Some of the bells sound like New Zealand's bells 😯
A flat bell is a dying bell.
1:46 If Australian Railway Crossings Sounded Like Irish Level Crossings!
Haha yeah those pedestrian alarms. At the time that was the only GS type 3 I had filmed and it was drowned out by the alarms :( I hope I can remake this video one day but it will be hard to film some of the rarer bells
1:16 That does not look like a General Signals type 1 electronic bell. And another thing, have you ever heard about the Safetran Hybrid bell before?
Tim The Man Here in Melbourne when the GS Type 1s we’re first introduced , all of them were fitted with mesh grills by the then rail operator connex. Yes I have heard about the safetran hybrids and from what I’ve seen they sounds great. It’s a shame that we don’t have any here
@@AH137productions Yeah, it's also a shame we never have Westinghouse hybrid bells in my country.
Yeah American has some really good bells and some we have here but there super rare, ones like FS and MI
@@AH137productions Also in your country, you don't have any US&S teardrop bells.
We have had US&S teardrops here in Aus but as far as I know not in my state. Over time 2 have been found in South Australia. 1 on a display signal in the 80s at Belair and another was found a couple months ago at the NRM Yard in Adelaide. It’s likely that there were more but they replaced a lot of there equipment in the 80s
What is your favourite bell?
Hugo The Train Capture 4074. Mck&h teardrop ( cast iron )
@@AH137productions are the teardrop bells are the first bell to be used un austalia.
@@AH137productions thats a nice choice you got there buddy.
There were bells on the wig wags which were probably magnetic Flagman but there may have been itehr bells before teardrops that weren’t made by specific brands l I know Warrigal road Mentone used to have some weird bell that I have never seen before (I saw this in a picture from the 1930s ) and it was probably made by some other brand
@@AH137productions ok.
Ah yes the western cullen hays
I think, instead of "STOP ON RED SIGNAL" it should be a stop sign, or Give Way sign.
You have every bell there fro here expect the NEG e bell.
Austrailia some of the bells in the USA and canada
Yes that’s correct
1:08 quite odd to see a U.S. and a U.K. E-bell in the same place!
Don't you wanna say Ireland?
@@jeresmart678 I know Scotland, Ireland, and U.K. have the same E-bells, i just said U.K. because it's the only country i've heard it in
@@Heartz4Jae ok
why are they so similar to american crossings
Nice! Now at 444 (well at least when I’m writing this)
Thanks, well it’s been a year since this uploaded
@@AH137productions true but quite an impressive amount of subs
@Ethan LIDDY haha
1:48: UK bell on Australia?
Nah it’s a USA bell, hard to hear because of the pedestrian alarm over it. At the time of releasing this video that was the only footage of it I had. I will eventually update it
@@AH137productions Already. So far I know it is an American-made bell. But I come to refer that the English-made bell was heard in the background.
Ok, It’s just a Magnetic Autocontrol pedestrian crossing alarm
@@AH137productions The one with the English-made bell?
@@AH137productions Excatly
Me being american, cool!
Whats the other bell at 1:09
pedestrain crossing alarm
Second one looks like GTA 5
Some Have United States 🇺🇸 Style Bells
Byron Chavarria yes that is true
[echoes] That's true...
Wait was the Bryant zinc on the ground!
Flat Train lol yeah it was , unfortunately the door was rusted shut . There was another one on another lying down signal but there were a lot of bushes round it so with was hard to get to.
You should of taken it
Oh no , it was at the National Railway Museum in there signal equipment pile . Your allowed to look around but the stuff isn’t for sale . There’s a video which I tour most if the equipment pile in my channel
Oh yeah I thought it was in the wild. If I found one next to an out of service I would take it
Lol , yeah dose seem like that as the yard is pterodactyl overgrown . I probably would as well but the chances of that are pretty slim
The Genaral Signals sounds like the one in the USA.
General Signals Type 1, 2 and 3 are used in USA and Australia. Not sure if the Adjusted Type 1 is used in USA though.
@@SamTheRailfanner maybe.
@@SamTheRailfanner There is one in Missouri but it’s the only GS Type 1.5 I know of in the USA
Crossing
3:38 flag Westinghouse hybrids
Victorian Rail Heritage typo, says in the description
Applehead 137 Railway Videos oh
4:12
Poor bells! I wish I could rescue them!
Used as spare parts for the other mechanical bells on the line
Well that’s better than them being scrapped
are flat bells just bell the dont work
1:23
RXW
2:04 why he hitting the bell with a rock
To make the gong sound, hammer is broken and back sealed
Jeez you’ve grown...6.7k views wth ( ✌︎'ω')✌︎
Skyph Haha thanks
Applehead 137 Railway Videos ur welcome
My favourite bell is the wch bell
