That was the first time we hear the questions: How many people have you killed and why. Lori's vision was his own conscience, still unspoiled. In the end, Rick had his sign that he asks for in the church in season 2.
Rewatching this from the beginning with my fiance. This really hit home seeing this a few minutes ago. I wish I had this Psalm at the ready during my divorce, so much of it speaks true.
