  • After having the deck rip off the bow, Colin posts on Facebook to warn other lagoon owners of what happened, and a few trolls come out of the woodwork which leaves Colin frustrated as he goes on a rant...
SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged Lagoon 450 catamaran, which Colin rebuilt with friends and has started sailing around the world. We found bulkhead damage on their catamaran in Panama, so have fixed her up, and are now sailing across the Pacific Ocean!!

Don’t let the trolls get to you Colin. Keep doing what you are doing….helping catamaran owners be prepared and helping people in general!

Forget the trolls Colin, for every troll there are 100's of decent people who appreciate you/Jamie and your tips.

As a seasoned recently retired boatbuilder here in NZ i can personally vouch that this deck to hull joint is simply just not to boatbuilding industry standard full stop no further argument.Heavily fibreglassing with staggered multiple layers completely all around the whole joint from bow to stern is the minimum.Poo glue and screws instead is eventually the serious structure malfunction you now see before your eyes. You're well and truly onto it Colin.May Taniwha guide you safely around her shores

Keep passing on the advice to other Lagoon owners because rest assured Lagoon will not.

  • @glenn2745

Lagoons are so poorly built. it's so interesting to have a serious engineer deal with the problems. Forget the Lagoon fanbois, as you said, most are not doing any serious passage making. After all you've revealed, I could never in good conscience take a Lagoon offshore.

Listen I’ve been sailing for 38 years and I still learn something from you every video. The sailing community is the best because we all help eachother no matter what.

Anyone who has watched this channel for any length of time, knows Colin's intergrity, and his tremendous skills. The Parlay and it’s crew have 316,000+ witnesses to this!

Never change yourself because of Trolls😡 You are an incredibly honest human and sadly that is rare these days. People don’t know how to handle it and they become mean, which is so opposite of what you’d expect. Also they are jealous of y’all’s ability to fix problems and continue on. Forever ParlayRevival. Hugs to you and the Crew🤗

  • @Shoni_Loves

I rarely leave comments anymore on Facebook, can’t deal with the trolls too. Never change, Colin - stay your thoughtful, caring, authentic self .

Hi, this is Fyn Alee, please don’t let negativity get you down because some people sadly don’t want anyone to be happy. You’re doing great and you have a lot of support from sailors you don’t even know. Personally I don’t know why people want to hurt other folks but that is life so rise above it and live your best life! ❤️

  • @pattimessenger6214

If I had a lagoon like yours, and I saw your post, I would be inspecting the bows on my boat!

  • @jimthorleydronefootage

As you can see, Colin, we all experience negative people on social media, but there are more of us enjoying your travels and keep letting people know what you find and fix believe me your helping someone out there. Happy sailing parlay crew ❤️
