Got a Steam Deck....sold it and got an ROG Ally....sold it to get a Steam Deck back. Sold that one for a Legion Go.......Sold the Legion Go to get a Steam Deck. Ima just keep my Steam Deck.
I have 0 reason for more power. I use it when im away from home and when im in bed. When im in bed i stream the game at max res/settings from the pc to the deck. Works just fine.
Yeah honestly its perfect in my eyes. if i can play helldivers 2 and its clean and smooth and i didnt adjust anything what more could i ask for, Critics always comparing to top of the line stuff. for a causal gamer like me its amazing!
I have question, what do you think about steam deck Oled resolution. So 1280 × 800 is good for 7.4 inch screen? I mean, does the screen fill pixilated because of low screen ppi, or the screen quality is good overall. Do you see the pixels of the screen in normal view distance you playing the game?
Well it was the switch that revolutionized the handheld market (Nintendo in general with the gb, gba, gba, ds, 3ds etc) but yes the steam decks popularity did cause a lot of other companies to make handhelds too. Love steam deck though
I just want a cleaner more modern design. If steam deck 2 had ayaneo hardware design with stronger performance and I’d be happy. Oh, and I’d love if there was 2 usb-c ports. Would allow charging and accessories without having to use an adapter/hub. I’m really glad that they’re taking this console-like release cycle and not just releasing one every year or every few months like ayaneo. This really lets the user base squeeze all the uses out of it and for optimization to be much easier for devs
It’s hard to be excited for the Switch 2 now that we have handheld PCs. Aside from the the Nintendo exclusives, it’s hard to beat being able to play almost any game that has existed present and past. Nintendo better include backwards compatibility or else many will flock to to the SD to get recent games + switch games in one package
I wonder if they go down the ARM root. They could do an Exynos style ARM paired with an AMD GPU. It would help with battery life. And they already use an emulation type proton work around, if the could get proton working with ARM it would be a game changer. Theres also versions of Linux that works on ARM.
I'm waiting in the future when I finish college and get a job first to save up lots of money to get a rog ally x, msi claw 8 ai+, but I'm also waiting to see if there's gonna be a legion go 2 and steam deck 2. 😊
It might not come out until 2026 and by then RDNA 5 will be. I think that's the most sensible move, because why put the old architecture in there when the new one can go in there?
Valve has already said it will be years before the next version. I say get the OLED, it addressed the reasons why I never got the original (screen and battery) and I absolutely love it
I wouldn’t be concerned. I would just buy it and enjoy it and if something better comes out then sell what you have and get the new one. Remember the highest cost thing you have is your TIME. Also, it streams your PC so beefy pc + steam oiled and you can play any game. Stream for the higher end games and everything else just play on the deck.
Lol just had mine for four days got the two one for my daughter and one for me so bought the lcd model I'm happy with it upgraded the 64 to 1tb ssd on both
Steam Deck 2 will use an AMD APU. Simply because AMD works amazing on Linux, Intel doesn't work very well on Linux, and Intel doesn't care about Linux.
Why do we get new phones that come out every year. But new consoles only come out every 6 to 8. Just make a new system every 2 years and let us pick where we want to jump in
Ps vitas are awesome for modding, I got one myself so good luck 👍 I'm currently waiting to get my oled steam deck delivered cuz I plan to mod that one aswell 😏
PS Vita are amazing device I'm still pissed at Sony for making the proprietary memory card so expensive and and have the nerve to wonder why it sold like sh!t and pulling the plug on PS Vita. When they should've supported PS Vita by lowering the price of Vita consoles and it's proprietary memory card. And pay more devs to make games for Vita exclusively or to port on PS Vita. We'd would've have seen Vita 2 by now. But hey Vita is a amazing console I still have one and modding it in 2024 I'd very easy you don't even need computers these days. And takes 10-15 minutes. And once you modded it open the world of Pandora's box open for lots of different emulators and games and so much more you can do with vita!

Yeah lol More Power doesn't mean shit when it cannot handle that power lol
@@kaizel2264 for me it was steamos. And the fact games are updated FOR the deck. They aren’t tailored for Rog or Legion.

@@nukfauxsho what I love is all the emulators run great even after you lower tdp and gpu.
Guess you’re not aware of returns bein a thing lol
Thank God handhelds are back in the scene. I was getting tired of sitting in front of my PC
Lol. Every time i buy a new piece of tech and pay the top dollar for it , speculation about the next version always happens the next day.
Steam deck is not a "new piece of tech"
I don't know about a steam deck 2 but I love my steam deck OLED the battery life is great the screen is great and the whole experience is amazing
Yeah honestly its perfect in my eyes. if i can play helldivers 2 and its clean and smooth and i didnt adjust anything what more could i ask for, Critics always comparing to top of the line stuff. for a causal gamer like me its amazing!

That’s why he specifically said handheld AAA gaming 😊
sooo should i still buy the steam deck oled rn? Im about to do it

Believe me guys, Valve won't release SD3 like they always do with their games, it will be SDGO
If they make a steam deck 2 I just hope that the majority of the steam library is playable and that they verify games more frequently
Why not just have battery packs that you can recharge like milwaukee tools I don't understand why no one does this even with phones and other devices
I'm a Nintendo exclusive guy but honestly I'm thinking of skipping the Switch 2 for the Steam Deck 2.
It’s hard to be excited for the Switch 2 now that we have handheld PCs. Aside from the the Nintendo exclusives, it’s hard to beat being able to play almost any game that has existed present and past. Or just get a steam deck and mig switch. Then load your games with emulation on the deck. Get all the switch games you want and most pc games.

Maybe valve will make a steam deck 2 but they won't make a steam deck 3

I got the steamdeck oled about 2 months ago... havent touched seriesx, ps5, switch since!!!! 😲
I'm more concerned if there is going to be another revised version...I want to get the oled but if a better version is going to come I want to wait
