had fun being matt for an episode !
You should be in front of the camera more.
Bravo, well done!
When does Matt get to be you tho?
Yes you did 🤣🤣🤣
You should do some shorts called Kinsey's Korner and just throw your opinions about random stuff idk
Matt is sick because of the fireball he drank from the blinker fluid 😂
Matt is chugging cough syrup from his golf club, sunscreen bottle, and chair arm
Oh my god, Kinsey at the desk??? ARON AT THE PRODUCER TABLE????? Dogs and cats living together!!!!
'It's pandemonium ", lol ... classic
Loved seeing kinsey here, maybe having the three at the same time would be a great idea for future this is videos
yeah def need more kinsey!
Yeah i agree 3 sounds better than 2 just like the other channel always have at least 3 of you in it and talking.
You did such a good job, Kinsey!
Not really
KINSEY AT THE FRONT DESK YIPPEEE 🎉
We need more episodes with Kinsey in front of the cameras.
If Valve can get Firefox and Thunderbird working natively on SteamOS then I'd jump for a Steam Deck. The built-in browser in Steam is atrociously bare-bones. It needs to add extensions, bookmarks, and login retention to be complete.
Desktop mode. If you need all the functions of Firefox / Thunderbird while you're actively gaming use your phone. That's what I've done since I got mine in July 2022.
can always do flatpak for Firefox and Thunderbird
@@ZaberfangX As far as I know, that can still presents problems that native support eliminates.
Remember, Valve wants as many people as possible to use the Steam Deck. If a person has to do something other than download via an integrated app providing service, 90% of people won't do it.
@@MisterGiGs Yeah, but that requires that a person put away the Steam Deck. What if they are on a crowded train, or a plane?
If they can just switch from a game to email, web browser, or text messages, then it becomes more user efficient.
If your car can handle it, why not a Steam Deck?
I really liked seeing the back office in the front! It was a great and fun episode. Kinsey did a great job too!
Kensi did an excellent job, put Matt behind the camera for a while and keep Kensi in front of the camera.
@@allanlansdowne340Yes, kinsey is great, but don't get rid of Matt. Maybe have some trio episodes instead
Need more duo videos of you two! Great vid as always!
Kinsey you did a great job! Another excellent episode everyone! Thanks all
You knew this was coming.... KINSEY NEEDS MORE CAMERA TIME. Make a third seat or give her a channel. She's awesome.
Kinsey did a great job, fun to see you all
I don’t own a SD at all but I’m a big fan on Valve and their business practice… compared to Nintendo they listen to their consumers, deliver decent quality specs, & constantly updates OS & hardware. I believe the SD2 will sell well.
That's because Valves Sin is Sloth. Other than their laziness they've been pretty good. Other game companies like Nintendo have worse Sins that they stand by.
You man Valve that helped start loot boxes? Get outa here!
Give her more screen time. This was great.
I hope steam deck 2 comes standard with oled screens
Or at the very least mini-led
The problem with valve is, as soon as your steam deck was in repair you can't access anymore you devices information in the steam deck settings. And that's wide spread issue. As I contacted steam support, all they said use this link and closed my ticket rudely. So I can't sell my steam deck, without people being able to see which version of the steam deck it is, so I could buy the oled version.
Love all you guys, but really love seeing a rare Kinsey feature! (Austin, Matt, we need more of this! )👀😎
These videos remind me of the early IGN network news. Love this group so much!
Great to see kinsey at the desk ^_^ more kinsey episodes pls
Good job Kinsey you did great!!
Hey, I know a laptop or desktop computer is technically way better than a gaming handheld but is a steam deck? Or a Windows handheld worth getting and can they play most games well enough like half-life and any newer game or would it be better to spend the money and get a desktop computer because I’m trying to not spend so much money but I still want to be able to play Games and be able to know that I could play some new games if I wanted to and which gaming handheld would be the best if you recommend one
"You seem like you're trying to play a game, do you need help" Not Kinsey calling the new Copilot features lmaooo
Great video y'all, give Kinsey more screen time
Damn, that CES health tech really worked its magic, Matt's lookin hella fine
Great show.. she needs to be in more!
I was NOT ready for the Kinsey intro. 🔥😅
I want a Lite/Mini and transparent colors, of course!
Rip Matt!!!!!
RIP Kyle
I hope that AMD opens their eyes to the handheld market and makes some mobile versions of their Ryzen 8000 chips. The demos at CES looked great.
Lightweight versions of Windows do technically exist, Atlas is one and it has some issues on the Steam Deck, but it technically works.
Microsoft's top sources of income for the past 8 years have been server / office products and cloud services. Windows only gets them 12.5% of their revenue (based on the most recent data they've gave). I think they can survive, they made nearly 200 billion last year.
I'm loving my Steam deck OLED! I just bought a keyboard/mouse & docking station and I'm having a ball 🎉
I just wish Steam would come out with another Steam Controller so I don't have to hold the deck & dock at the same time while trying to play on the TV, that's mainly why I bought a mouse & keyboard ⌨️ 🖱️
I can’t imagine Microsoft catering to console experiences on competing platforms, at least not until they release a handheld of their own
I like matt but I wanna see Kinsey at the table more.
also, I would love to make a steam OS PC, kind of like the steam boxes of days old.
Agree with Kinsey, transparent electronics FTW.
I shell swapped my GBA SP after watching Jake Simmons's channel and absolutely love my transparent glacier blue color SP now.
That limited edition OLED with the smoke black shell was awesome, and I wish I had the cash to buy one when it was out.
Austin and his sister make a great duo
The “3 OS’s in a trench coat” line is so true.
You did great Kinsey! 👍
Microsoft used to have a big picture mode, was on the old Media Center addon, something like that in the newer Windos would be awesome,
Austin
What ever happened with the alienware ufo project
I would love for them to release it ...
Matt was so good in the episode
yay! Kinsey! so did give Kinsey a raise?
This Is... Better with Kinsey on the desk!! I understand her skill set, but her personality is magnetic 🧲🧲🧲
Need more Aron+Kinsey
Is steam deck lite, not just the switch OLED? 🤔🤷🏽♂️
They need to fix Steam OS adoption for anti cheat. It doesn’t happen often but it is annoying when I can’t play a game on Steamdeck purely based on the anti cheat not working or banning you when you play on Steamdeck.
I could’ve sworn I saw an article where Valve was saying that it’s already good to go, without any work from the developer. But they can’t enable it unless given the OK by those companies.
Steam deck 2 what i want is a custom chip that's power efficiently tweaked like thr original deck but from 5-35 watts based on an older 8 core zen 4 cpu but an rdna 5 32cu gpu. Default tdp is still 15 watts. A 65 watt hour battery with the same screen resolution but vrr 🤤. 2 usb 4 ports I think by then you can get much higher bandwidth usb 4 ports for external gpus. Accessorie ecosystem as well i want valve headsets and controllers so they can keep the 499.99 price point for the specs above.
I'm guessing that some of the customers buying Windows handhelds are doing that to also get a full Windows computer, so that could also be a reason why MS isn't gonna nerf Windows for handhelds
we need more kinsey! also colorways needs to be a thing with valve
I think Switch 2 will be released in September this year?
This Matt is great!
As somebody with ogre hands, the steam deck ergonomics is perfect, even more so than my regular controllers. I would love to keep the overall shape and try to shave off the weight.
Now..... Request to have Matt and Kinsey show. It will be an interesting video! Lol!
Perplexed look 👀
So I recently bought a cheap "PC WIRELESS GAMING RECEIVER" so I could use an old 360 controller with my computer as an extra controller. Windows 10 didn't recognize it, i had to add it as a 360 recever and manually install the drivers in devoce manager. Even worse I had to do it again for every USB port. Then I decided to try it with the docked Steam Deck, guess what... it worked instantly.
I miss Matt's intro but I'm not mad at Kinsey!
2:22
A light version Windows ?
Are we going in back to windows 7 lite on notebooks in 2010? 😃
Theres a hilarious amount of lighting for the This Is studio. So much, that Austin's hair looks plastic and you can practically see every arm or facial hair whenever Kensey and Austin turn sideways. Plus both of them just look unnaturally pale😆😆😆
MOAR KINSEY!!!!!
11:30 Years ago-during the push for netbooks and then UMPCs-Microsoft offered OEMs free Windows licenses for devices with screens smaller than 9"
They need to have a Power and graphic boosting machine base dock for a 2 so all the spaces can compete with PS5 and series X and have access to the latest games.
I'm all for more Kinz. Kinz up my life plz.
You take off your shirt one time, and Kinsey steps in 😤
Kinsey should get Desk time more often, I like me some neon hair!
Austin rocking the Whataburger collar. A ref that will flop except in the south.
When the steam deck came out it was bleeding edge for a handheld specs...
No SD lite. Keep it to one screen spec size. It’s the uniformity of the screen and the rest that makes the SD viable. Iterating on the apu for efficiency is what I want to see instead.
I think Valve should have the same target with the SD2 but with 1200p instead of 800p so maybe wait for ryzen9000 or Z2. VRR support and a turbo mode when plugged in as well would be the cherry on top.
PS hope the Steam Controller 2 comes out before
How can they make Steam Deck 2, if PC 2 is not even out yet?
To be honest I turned to the stream deck for my handheld pc gaming as I prefer not to hold a thermal throttling brick (Asus Rog Ally)
8:45 bring back steam machine but at a cost
Good discussion 👌
I imagine if the last steam deck is the steam deck 2. assuming it comes out by around 2026, it would have a lifespan of of 2-4yrs, which would be 2028-30. Which is 8yrs already 8yrs from the first one. If everything tracks and pc game/app developers continue to support SteamOS(and Linux by default), it could have snowballed just enough to be competitive with whatever windows version of that time. By then, valve would just update and release SteamOS and they don't need to make any handheld themselves. I mean I remember building my own steam machine back then. Just imagine laptops and/or pre-builds with SteamOS and not just handhelds.
I actually think that is valve's end goal since the time they release the steam machine. They just took and needed a longer path. Linux is great, but it's not user(consumer) friendly. While it has a lot of 3rd party support, there's almost no support coming from companies directly. So what did Valve do, or is doing? create a scenario where companies would care and notice. By increasing market share and users of linux(SteamOS), companies now are starting to support linux.
Kinsey is pretty. . . good at the front desk 👉👈🥺
OH shit. Logic really did give up on rap. This suits him better. Good luck bro
I have both a Steam Deck OLED and a Legion Go, and the price point is significant between the 2, with semi similar specs and around a $200 price point difference is huge. I like Steam OS better, but Windows can run all my games, so it's a trade off.
Battery tech for these handheld PCs isn't that good.
Constantly upping the specs without first finding a way to get current devices to last hours longer than they currently do, will just lead to newer devices getting bigger to accommodate larger batteries for the new specs which in turn suck up more battery power.
You'll just end up with a weirdly shaped laptop by the end of it.
at this point austin just do a podcast again but with everyone in the office
You cant tell me cloning technology isnt in use today.
Hate to skip the OLED but, I'm going to keep using my original Steam Deck and when the 2 comes out if it's still the right device on the market then I will update. That said, Steak Deck 2 would technically be the 3rd Deck so if that happens then...... IT BETTER SHIP WITH HALF-LIFE 3 🤣🤣
I just bought a steam deck... Can't go to OLED now. I couldn't go all on Linux, because of Trainers, and some mods, but! They are improving Linux more and more. Anyway I'll gonna keep more steam deck for a long time
The steam deck will ONLY BE WORTH IT if VR can connect to it.
Why do you want a smaller screen? Just optimise the grip for big and small Hands!
Without "Kyle" we could have "Kayla" and "Keith" who wears long sleves under short sleeves for Ken.
I love the idea of steam os and windows 11 is admittedly mediocre on handheld consoles but there's literally 2 games in my stream library on the fully functional list for the deck. 1 game is on the works but with issues, and the rest just won't work. I also have games through the Microsoft score for reasons....and sadly it's the games that just won't play on the deck that are the ones I actually want to play, the other ones are my kids games which they play on our PC or xbox's. Which is why I want a handheld so I can actually get some play time lol
Devils advocate here: the Zen 4 chip being out of date by the time this comes out also means there will be more support/optimizations for the chip
Steam OS as a platform is really compelling to me. More hardware options....maybe Nvidia ARM. Or if Valve makes Deck an open platform for board partners and have Red and Green offerings
12:18 I was under the impression that Nintendo doesn't sell their hardware at a loss
W Kinsey!!
The first one was always the prototype and the 2nd one, the revision, would always be the finish product. 😁
Ballin
I think steam os is the end product steam deck is just valve way of making this more palatable to end user open source and community driven things are making this work steam os in say 5 to 6 years from now will be really good competition to windows in gaming
we got steam deck 2's specs before GTA VI
Honestly, Steam Deck 2 can't afford to be behind on specs when it does eventually come out.
Even as a person who loves their original steam deck, in a few years time when I want to upgrade, I'm a pc gamer, I never stick to just one brand, whoever is the best value for money gets my money.
MORE KINESY PLEASE
Matt is sick because he drank too much blinker fluid
If Microsoft made big picture mode do you think it will just be
XBOX big picture mode?
I love my steam deck so much i switch my main desktop pc to arch linux
And im not going back to windows
4:15 Aron..... you're a Tyler/Valve News Network fan aren't you
had to do it when were making a whole video about Valve lol
@@AronFromThisIsheheh nice. And Kinsey said speculation, you kinda had to do it!
Love the line up and getting some Kinsey time at the desk!
Is that TaJaDor sticker on the laptop!?
you bet !
if i could go back and buy the asus one, i would. steamdeck is heavily limited due to the cpu being 4 cores and is so easily bricked
