Mom of 4 here and a bit of advice about breastfeeding. Take it or leave it. I am 💯 for women choosing whichever is best. I have suffered with depression and anxiety all my life and I had postpartum really bad so I chose to bottle feed because lack of sleep is a huge trigger of my D&A and this way my husband was able to help. I guess I am just saying that if you feel you are having any emotions and feel overwhelmed it’s ok to take care of yourself and there is no right or wrong with BF. Can’t wait to meet the little dude! 💙 👦
I agree with you completely, Dawn. Women should do what works for them. For me the hormones produced during breast feeding really helped my clinical depression. That is just what happened to work well for my particular brain. I felt the best I have ever felt during breast feeding. It’s great getting extra sleep worked for your postpartum depression. Every woman is different, and we should have the opportunity to figure out what works best for us.
I agree! I chose not to breastfeed for that very reason-so that my husband could help out more with night feedings because I feel terrible when I don’t get enough sleep. Even then, it was still rough until we got him to sleep through the night. Boy, that was a day to be celebrated! Haha 😀
@@heatherpahl6927 it won’t always be smooth sailing. Some women go to all the appointments and do all the tips and tricks and breastfeeding is still extremely difficult or not possible. I can’t tell you how many babies with failure to thrive I’ve taken care of solely because the mother was so afraid of formula and thought breast was the only option, even when it wasn’t working for her. Let’s all set realistic expectations for moms.

Hey guys, I’m a birth doula here, and I just wanted to hop on a say, I have seen SO many beautiful home births! The midwives that attend are all very knowledgeable and trained. They bring so much equipment and are ready for emergencies! They can do anything except a c-section. I chose a home birth bc I’d seen the different between stark sterile hospitals and being at home and trusting your body to deliver, (of course with a midwife there to be safe!) and I wouldn’t have it any other way!! Not trying to be negative at all! But there is so much judgement out there about home birth, so I wanted to share a little about it with you guys!😘😘 love y’all so much!!
So happy for you! I breastfed my babies(4 of them) but my husband did all of the other night duties. He got up and got the baby all ready for me while I went to the bathroom. He also sat up with me when I needed support. If the baby fussed, he would get up and try to resettle them by burping them, changing the diaper or finding the pacifier, because I am convinced that if the baby smelled me coming they assumed I would feed them. We did add a bottle feeding at 6 months so dad could be involved and give me a break. To this day, he is still the one who responds to the kids in the middle of the night.(our youngest is 14 years old) Best wishes to your family!
Yes exactly! Film for yourself and then decide if you want to share anything. No pressure at all, but you might regret it if you don’t have those memories for yourself ❤️
Abby, thank you so much for sharing your truths! You made me feel so normal when you talked about not loving/not loving pregnancy, the discomfort, etc! I also have been feeling SO nervous about birth once night time comes cuz that’s when I feel the worst! I hope baby boy is here since I’m seeing this later- praying for you guys & this awesome new season of life:)
Girl, this is so so so relatable. I had my first baby last September and my second is due this September. RIGHT when I was getting adjusted to my new post baby body, I found out I was pregnant with baby #2. As happy as I was to be pregnant again (I’m a weirdo who loves being pregnant) I was pretty bummed to feel like all of the weight I lost and all of the comfort that I finally had in my new skin would be changed again due to another pregnancy. But I will gladly sacrifice my body for my babies!! They’re such a gift!
Thank you for being willing to share that you are ok with having a hospital birth. I wanted a hospital birth for safety and felt like some people judged me for not wanting a home birth. For me the anxiety of not having doctors available in case of problems would have made me so stressed. Also I didn’t want family, other than my husband, with me during birth either. I am a very introverted person. That offended some family. For me having privacy from family during such a personal time was really important to me. I tried to go through birth without an epidural. After hours I was too exhausted. My baby wasn’t born until over 24 hours after my water broke. Still people judged me for not being able to go without an epidural the entire time. It is ridiculous how critical people can be of a woman making her own decisions on what is best. It is just nice to hear someone comfortable planning their hospital birth with confidence in their decision. You will do great!
Watching your pregnancy content has made me feel so grateful...grateful that you, baby, and hubby are happy and healthy. But also grateful that I had such an easy pregnancy with my daughter. I literally had a partial day of "morning sickness" early on, and smooth sailing through birth. The only time I felt discomfort was a few days before I gave birth. I was on the couch, watching TV with my husband, and I suddenly got an intense pain in my lower pelvis. Tears streamed down my face as I looked at him and said "It hurts" A couple days later, we welcomed our beautiful daughter into the world. Love you guys! Looking forward to whatever baby content you're comfortable sharing with us 😊👼👨👩👧

They are gonna be amazing parents.
First, I want to give Matt kudos for being so comfortable, willing to learn and understanding. I honestly think/feel that we all want a partner that is as supportive and loving as Matt. Also, stretch mark creams don't do shit! I truly feel it is a money grab. A vast majority of people, not only pregnant women get stretch marks along the way. It is easier said than done, but stressing out about stretch marks is rather redundant. There is not much that can be done. The itch was the worst part for me. The first year is my absolute favorite. Breastfeeding I absolutely LOVED. My sister hated it. It most definitely impacted her PPD. Abby, you are so level headed. I cannot express how "proud" I am of how you've handled everything that comes along with pregnancy. It is amazing to watch. I have two daughters, one who actually turned 10 TODAY. We love your videos. I get emotional watching you guys. 😢. You guys seriously are so awesome. Thank you so much for the content you guys post. It has opened up so many conversations with my girls. I am going through an incredibly horrible separation and custody "battle" with their dad. The love and respect between you guys is an unbelievable 180° contrast to what they have witnessed their dad treat me and them. So again, thank you.

As someone who didn’t have a plan. You definitely need one. You have to be ready for anything especially because hospitals have the HIGHEST intervention rate. You have to be stern in your wishes otherwise they take advantage of you. Also, bf is hard for the first month or so, so don’t give up!! You can do it!!
Praying you for Matt and Abby!! Little dudes pregnancy flew by. Praying for you to have a safe and healthy delivery. Can’t wait to see little dude in the vlogs. 🙏🤍✝️
I don’t love being pregnant as much as I will love being a mom!🥰 There’s no guilt in not enjoying it. I feel the same way about birth in the hospital being less stressful than the idea of a home birth.😅 Epidurals can help some of us enjoy the moment more!😊 Listening to a lot of your preferences and experiences, many resonate with me! It’s nice to hear!😊
I love being a mom(daughter is two months old now) but I will say that I do miss life before being a mother also😅 being a parent is tough and it’s hard on both parents! I have barely slept for two months and I miss being able to sleep😂 I miss being able to read whenever I want also lol reading helps me relax but with a baby you don’t have that much time anymore. Enjoy the pregnancy because life changes so much after they arrive. So things that you’ve always wanted to do! Go out and enjoy things because I hardly get out anymore and have a good support system also! If you need a break take that break because you are not just a mother you’re a person also! I have to take breaks or else I’ll have a ton of break downs but I love my daughter to pieces and I wouldn’t trade her for the world!
I think you both have it in the bag as far as what you want to do and what you don’t want to do. You’re a solid couple who can talk about any subject comfortably discuss the subject in detail between yourselves or on social media. Impressed Matt how you were handling the pads. I think that’s the way men should be about women’s products. My 2 adult sons and late hubby would walk around the store with a box of pads underneath their arms and couldn’t care less who saw it. I loved being pregnant so much!! When I first felt my sons move inside me was just so incredible. I love newborns to 6 months the most. The cuddles are incredible. If I could’ve I would’ve had more than my 2 sons but having type one diabetes made it too hard on my body, but I was happy with the chance to be able to get and keep the pregnancy and all it entails. All the best for the 3 of you!!🥰🥰💗💗
Abby: doing the add Matt: i rEaLLy lIkE ThE PaCKAgiNg All jokes aside I am so excited for you guys and hope you guys have had or do have a very safe pregnancy
It’s a bit late now lol but for any other mamas wondering..I used cocoa butter on my stomach, like lathered it on 3 times a day and I had slim to no stretch marks. Either way stretch marks are beautiful! They are a memory of growing your little dude❤️

It's so accurate that Matt seems like a girl dad and Abby seems like a boy mom. But you guys will just be such good parents in general. Your littles will be SO loved.

I was induced 3 times in 4 pregnancy. I didn't get an epidural any time because it went too fast. It was no joke.
Please don't be dead set on it because there might be a reason you can't have one.
Every delivery is different.
I love you all.
Be safe.

I hope I’m not the only one that has been stalking there account waiting for this baby to come!!! 🤷♀️
I can’t wait to see y’all’s son!! Congratulations Matt and Abby!! ❤️❤️
i love how honest you guys are and just so comfortable talking about this stuff! i just love you guys
I’m so excited to meet you little dude! love you guys and wish you a very healthy baby boy and a smooth birth💙

AWW! I cried through the whole video! Both of you have such beautiful souls!
I cried through 9/11
@@AB13210 Understandable, but totally not related!
I love how they are posting for us and talking about this to us and feeling comfortable talking about this in front of the world! They post for us even when they are dealing with pregnancy and processing that their parents or about to be!❤️
As someone who didn’t have a plan. You definitely need one. You have to be ready for anything especially because hospitals have the HIGHEST intervention rate. You have to be stern in your wishes otherwise they take advantage of you. Also, bf is hard for the first month or so, so don’t give up!! You can do it!!
I’m so excited for little dudes arrival! Y’all are going to be great parents 💙 I was so excited for this video!!
Matt so cute talking Poise lol “I really like the packaging” 😂 soo funny
yayyy!! he’s coming soon ❤️ i’m wishing you guys a safe and healthy pregnancy and birth! ❤️
The way Abby’s pouring out her heart about him being an amazing dad and mad just goes “mmh” IM DEAD
I am so excited for him to come into this world!! I hope ya'll the best of luck with your birth!! love ya'll!! ❤❤
Q
All the best for the 3 of you!!🥰🥰💗💗
I love how Matt was acting during the sponsorship portion 😂😂 also I am so excited for lil dude! You guys are going to be amazing parents ❤️
I love that Matt is so comfortable with doing a Poise pro mo. My favorite couple on TH-cam! Sending love and hope to you guys!🤍💙💜
Abby: doing the add
Matt: i rEaLLy lIkE ThE PaCKAgiNg
All jokes aside I am so excited for you guys and hope you guys have had or do have a very safe pregnancy
She's one of the cutest pregnant ladies I've seen lol... She's so excited and confident.. I was a mess when I was pregnant lol.
It’s a bit late now lol but for any other mamas wondering..I used cocoa butter on my stomach, like lathered it on 3 times a day and I had slim to no stretch marks. Either way stretch marks are beautiful! They are a memory of growing your little dude❤️
