I would have want to have a baby at a younger age but I didn't meet my husband until I was 26 and did not get pregnant until I was 30 and the 2nd one at 35. The energy level is so much different that I decided to not have one anymore.

Thank you Abby for talking about your stitches and the tearing... I gave birth to my first child in december 2022 and I had an episiotomy, which was something I was really scared of... I also felt almost everything when the doctor did the stitches. Then I kinda had an allergic reaction to the stitches and it made the healing process really long and painful. The first week / 10 days postpartum, I cried almost every day because of the pain, I couldn't barely walk or sit. And I felt so alone, because nobody talk about this... Now thankfully I recovered and I feel way better :)
I’m 22 due with my baby girl on Christmas Eve and I can’t wait to meet her. I’m terrified of the epidural and was thinking about going natural for lots of reasons but this Q&A helped with a couple questions I had. Congratulations on your baby boy Griffin!!
You two are precious, your best years are yet to come. I delivered 3 sons naturally, tore horribly & the doctor didn't care at 2am. My youngest son also got his shoulders stuck & broken during delivery, the bruises on him broke my heart. However, that son was drafted by the MLB recently after playing SEC baseball; goes without saying his shoulders are still huge!! If I would have known then what I know now, I would have had 6 or 7 kids. They're soo much fun! Giant hugs to you both❤
This was soooo informative … the whole body issue talk bit to me was so important to hear I’m 15 weeks pregnant and feel like I needed to hear that as my body changes
Difference between tearing and not tearing is massive! I tore the first time and was in pain for a few weeks while I healed. Terrible time walking and going to the bathroom was painful. No tearing is fast recovering, very little pain. No problem walking or going to the bathroom. Obviously not tearing is the goal 😂 but still super common if you tear. Hemorrhoid pads and frozen pad-sicles are you friends in healing
It's an encouragement to see a more petite woman have a baby naturally. I've always been afraid of carrying a baby and trying to deliver because I am on the smaller side. You're a beast Abby!
Happy y’all are back! Abby, I suggest checking out Daysy (or FAM in general) for bc/conception. I’d say fairest, healthiest (since no hormones), best of both words for both the ladies and the guys!
Honest dudes, Q&A straight to the point, just Abby & Matt as we always knew them PLUS Griffin changing/enriching/challenging everything around. Classics of every parents' daily life 👶🍼 Lots of strenght & Love to the young parents!!!!
I loved your affirmations when she was in labor! When I was in labor any thing that wasn’t cheering me on hurt my hormone induced feeling so bad!! 😂 I had my first child at age 24 and never regretted it! You guys are awesome!!❤
You did amazing! Having done three natural births, one laying down in the hospital and two home water births, I will say that a squatted water birth is the best way to prevent tearing and the ring of fire during pushing. Like night and day!
To answer your question on why breastfeeding causes contractions in the beginning: breastfeeding releases oxytocin, which is the same hormone that causes contractions when laboring and after birth to shrink the uterus back to normal size. It will continue to do so until your uterus goes back.
You guys are amazing! Sharing all this will help so many people! I’ve had 3 babies and honestly…watching TH-cam to get stories and information was so helpful!! I don’t have a mother figure in my life so I did t have anyone to go to. Also my husband and I didn’t have help with any of our newborns! No one came over to help or give us a break and it’s so sad! But it made us stronger and I wouldn’t change a thing. Take any help people are willing to give you. ❤️ you’ll look back and be so thankful!
As an expecting first time mom thanks for making this video! You hear so many horror stories it's nice to hear one that sounds normal and not one extreme or another.
Abbie's description to when your about to push is on point ‼️ I gave birth to my first child , a beautiful baby girl 2 weeks ago and to me it felt like a watermelon covered with chewed up sunflower seeds. These types of videos are truly amazing especially hearing it from someone elses perceptive. God bless you and adorable Griffin. YOU GUYS ARE DOING AN AMAZING JOB ‼️ ESPECIALLY YOU ABBIE YOU ARE A SOLDIER❣️❣️
Thank you for all that you share! I was pregnant with twins due around the same time as you. your channel has been an amazing support for me, it feels a little less lonely knowing that the experience and emotions that you’re both feeling are similar to ours.
Congratulations Matt and Abby! Thank you for being so transparent in your responses. It was refreshing to hear and super relatable as we just had our first baby 2 weeks before you :) I loved watching your entire pregnancy journey alongside my own. It’s interesting what you said about the lidocaine not working for your stitches! I too have intolerance to numbing meds. I got an epidural and I shocked the nurses when I was able to get on my hands and knees by myself to help baby reposition the baby. Our son also was facing with his head sunny side up, but I ended up needing a c-section. Thankfully, I didn’t experience pain with my epidural, but I was not numb (my epidural was a mix on an opioid and a numbing agent). Also, you get contractions while breastfeeding because your body releases oxytocin which is the same chemical your body releases during labor. It is your body’s natural way of helping your uterus return to normal size and to help expel any retained product or blood. I too was more concerned about how my body looked during pregnancy, but now that I have my baby boy - none of it matters to me. They are my battle scars and I’m proud to show them. It can be hard to see your body change so quickly, but I hope that our culture begins to cherish women’s postpartum bodies more. They are beautiful and it is truly amazing what our bodies can do. Becoming a first time parent sure is a rollercoaster! But you two are doing great! Don’t forget to be kind and understanding to yourselves. Griffin has two parents that love him and take great care of him, and I have no doubt that he feels that from you both everyday. Sending lots of love your way and wishing you a healthy recovery! ❤️
I love the breastfeeding question. I will say as a momma of two, I’ve never experienced contractions from breastfeeding oddly enough. Maybe I did and didn’t realize it. So glad you’re doing so good!

You did amazing! Having done three natural births, one laying down in the hospital and two home water births, I will say that a squatted water birth is the best way to prevent tearing and the ring of fire during pushing. Like night and day!
women are so strong! congrats on the baby, griffin is adorable!! 🎉
To answer your question on why breastfeeding causes contractions in the beginning: breastfeeding releases oxytocin, which is the same hormone that causes contractions when laboring and after birth to shrink the uterus back to normal size. It will continue to do so until your uterus goes back.
It was great to hear from y’all!!! Glad everything is going well and your always in my prayers! Love y’all💗💗💗
You guys are amazing!
And I absolutely LOVE his name!
Awww I’m truly so happy for you guys!! ❤️ you guys! Can’t wait to see sweet baby griffin
Feels so good to hear 'Peace Out Dudes' again!!
You guys are great parents! Abby looks amazing after a month of being in labor! Love you guys❤️❤️❤️
As an expecting first time mom thanks for making this video! You hear so many horror stories it's nice to hear one that sounds normal and not one extreme or another.
So glad to see y’all back with a longer video!

So excited for the baby vlogs!!!!
Missed you guys so much! But so so happy y’all are getting to fully enjoy this next chapter in y’all’s lives. 💛💛💛
Welcome back!! Griffin is so so cute
Congrats, I loved watching you guys through your journey
i love how open and honest you guys are!
Ahh I’m so exited for you and little griffin!! Love you guys! 💗💓💗
I love the breastfeeding question. I will say as a momma of two, I’ve never experienced contractions from breastfeeding oddly enough. Maybe I did and didn’t realize it. So glad you’re doing so good!
