It’s hard to believe this was 31 years ago. I remember this like it was yesterday. Doug Marland sure knew how to incorporate so many characters into the storyline. It would be great to have episode showing the murder of Carolyn Crawford.
Thank you for posting this ep in its entirety! Love Frannie and Darryl. Would love to see more if you have it but if you don't, thanx so much for taking time to share this one.
This was a great story line. It was right up there with the time Stenbeck went on a rampage through Oakdale, trying to get his son back. He was like Darth Vader trying to turn Luke to the darkside.
This show was excellent and at it's best when Douglas marland wrote for the show from1985-1993 which is the year he passed. After he passed the writing and feel of the show was lost
I totally agree. I bet he turned in his grave when a lot of his writing was undone. Case in point breaking up Jessica and Duncan and bringing Shannon back UGH!!
Profl Redhead I agree As the world turns is my all time favorite soap opera. And from about the mid 80's to early 90's it was great, but by the late 90's the show had a much different feel to me. Too many great actors were gone by that point, and the show had totally lost its identity.
@@dontreldontrel416 No.....Hog Sheffer ruined the show by making it the Carly and Katie show relegating the vets, especially Lisa, to be practically non existing background characters. He insulted the great Eileen Fulton by calling her an old fogey and he said he didn’t know how to write for the vets. Doug Marland’s era was golden!
Thanks for sharing this. Very, very solid episode. I especially like the dream sequence Bob had about Kim and Susan. Also like the way Paul handled Lisa. Lisa is mixing it up as she did so well. Loved her. It always made her stand out. Rex Smith was terrific in this role. Daryl/Frannie shouldn't have worked but somehow did.
Tigger97498 Funnier was the fact that Sabrina and Frannie started as look a likes w/ a storyline that involved their relationship with Seth. Now they look nothing alike . That was very weird to me.
The new Frannie would've made a better Betsy recast. It drove me nuts that Frannie and Sabrina didn't look alike anymore. The actress playing Sabrina should've also played Frannie.
Andrew was paul. Should have never been recast . Roger howarth just wasn't paul . Just like melanie was emily . Kelly was a great actress but I just didnt see her as Emily. I've said it before . You just cant replace everybody imagine susan Lucci being replaced as ericka on the very dull all my children. Or someone else playing felicia on another world or maybe someone else playing dr. Marlana Evan's on days of our lives. Or a brand new victor on the young and the restless or a new Reva on guiding light well you get the picture.
@@clairebeckman6650 It's phenomenal I love seeing you reply here! I'm currently skimming the un-dated episodes to try figuring out where to date them for an external hard-drive collection I have. By the way you are absolutely stunning, then, now and always.
I remember as the world turns what is my favorite soap opera on TV to watch and I miss it

Hey Brother thank you for posting this. Much appreciated. Times have changed, too bad the show was canceled. For me the mid-80s ATWT was the best.
Mid to late 80s for me.
This episode is from March 18, 1991.
I miss this show so much!! I love seeing all of the characters i miss.
+Jennifer Butala Me too! It's one of the first TV shows I remember seeing when I was a baby back in the late 50s!
The cast in this episode is epic!

Would love to see more episodes following this one

Hogan Sheiffer is the head writer that made it good other than that ATWT sucked

This was recorded from KCBS-TV, ch. 2, Los Angeles. I haven't lived in WBMG-TV 42 territory (Birmingham) for almost 30 years.
Thank You For Uploading As The World Turns Episodes. It Brings Back Magic. 🙂👍
the funny thing is Sabrina actually looks like a Julianne Moore recast shouldve.

@@xdarkbrianx I much preferred Julianne Moore's Frannie but this Frannie looks a lot more like her mother.
Thanks!
I WANT TOO SEE MORE OF DARYL PLAYED BY REX SMITH!
Julie Joseph Me too! That's why I saved this episode. LOL!
what's the airdate from spring 1991?
Sorry, I have no idea.
Thanks for sharing this. For Bob to call Susan's name, it's the mother of Freudian slips. Or maybe Tonio shot him in the head!
I just watched this again and I thought "Ohhhhhhhhh (bleep)!"
Love the antique phone she talking on at the beginning.Any clips with Lindsay frost?
MrCraigblaze Antique? LMAO How old are you? That's just a pay phone and they do still exist. Wow.
***** I'm 37.At least It isn't 2 cans and a string. XD!
MrCraigblaze LOL!!!
***** Payphones so 1991.
MrCraigblaze Hey, they still exist! They may have some cobwebs but they're still there!

Well, they wanted Paul to look more adult and "sexy". So, even though it was and adjustment, I definitely understood the recasting.
juliane moore played the roles of frannie and Sabrina
Nope. Mary Ellen Stuart played Franny and I played Sabrina at this time. Just came across this. So crazy to see it all these years later

HEY ROBERT DO YOU HAVE ANY MORE EPISODES OF DARRYL AND FRANNIE ESPECIALLY THEIR WEDDING AND THE BIRTH OF THEIR DAUGHTER?
Julie Joseph Julie, I wish I did, but I don't think I do. I didn't save that many episodes of "World Turns." Sorry.
Rex Smith's HAIR!
