Well you gotta understand, they aren't playing the game to min/max the game, they are playing the game to bring content and get views These types of combo's involve extremely high level skill and knowledge... it's like asking a regular person to pull off a flawless T.O.D in Fighterz which is still WAY easier than the combo that was shown in this video to put it into perspective
Thank you for this video, Jagger, not only for letting more people have insight into this game but also because someone FINALLY mentioned how few people actually know how to combo in BT3 and it's been slowly driving me insane.
Dawg trust me, I get you, all convos about the series is riddled with misinformation Like I even heard someone say XV2 is "just a modern Tenkaichi", they must be high
@@_jagger1407 Respectfully, how does anyone with functioning eyeballs reach such a conclusion? That's like saying fighterz is just 2D xenoverse, that makes just about the same amount of sense😭 Either way, thank you for clearing up some of this misinformation, BT3 is an extremely misunderstood game and seeing more people actually learn about the game is always nice to see
Not only that but I’ve been watching people for 20plus years of my life talk shit about the tenkaichi series and call it a button masher. I’m just like if you sorry fukcs didn’t know how to play it just say that. That’s why the series didn’t get a sequel for all these fucking years. But now we got all these fake ass tenkaichi fans who just came out of thin air like they were these huge fans. I’m just glad that they finally brought this series back it’s literally my favorite game of all time and always has been and I’m glad more than ever to see that they’ve actuallly brought back the bt3 combat system
It's also kinda funny because sparking zero seems like it will genuinally buff character's ability to combo insanely well,no annoying backstep for supers,Ki blasts have a lot more freedom in close range,no super cooldown, new offensive mechanic that allows the player to "skip neutral" i can see this game having a lot of issues with touch of death's and 2 bar supers breaking the balance by a lot.
It feels like the only gameplay videos that gave in at least some effort to show off some combos were AfroSenju's and GameSpot's story mode video. From GameSpot's vid, we might be able to flank with the kiai cannon since I noticed that dashing is possible after doing it. If we get more footage, let's hope that it's not just square combo spam or a super/ultimate attack gallery showcase.
The most underrated channel in youtube Can someone Hack the youtube algorithm and give that guy what he deserved from popularity his videos are awsome and some of them take a hell ton of effort especially the difference between bt2 and bt3. I discovered this channel 2 years ago and it's a shame that we see videos like every six monthes , I hope you ride the wave of sparking zero to success and pls keep yourself motivated , with all my respect.
I'd love for you to go up against the 3 idiots and absolutely humble them and maybe teach them a thing or two while doing so. It be really interesting how if the 3 pick up some new tech how the community would respond to seeing it and in response see the more competitive deeper combat potential and maybe grow the game's competitive scene a bit more, aswell as improve the reputation of the game (which is already great but still). As far as it stands now i've heard Seereax e.g. mention somewhat recently that he isn't even aware of a competitive scene for BT. You showing them and their audiences the way would be really interesting imo, for all we know this could spiral into more tournaments and their popularity or smthing. A win-win probably too, for both you and them, they get interesting more fresh, gameplay differing content and you get way more exposure and might set yourself up for a channel boom as SZ approaches and launches.
The only downside for the 3 i could see is how they might actually become good at the game to the point they can't farm competitive content against OP CPU's anymore as they might actually consistently beat them with better tech. Then again they could adapt to that by just fighting more of them in a battle instead of just 1 i guess so nvm the concern.
As much as I'd love beating up Doto Rhyme and SeeReax, I don't think it'll ever happen. For one, I mostly play BT2, and it's obvious by now that if anything, the only thing they'd be willing to play is the BT4 mod. I'd much rather them play against people who've mastered BT3 to a much greater extent, like @warhawk059377 for example. Another problem is even getting recognized. Tenkaichi is one of those series where everyone thinks they're top notch, they can't just say "BT3 pros, DM us" because they'd get flooded with subpar to average skilled players thinking they're pros because they can use the Triangle button.
@@_jagger1407 a general rule of thumb I've picked up from being in counter strike for so long is if someone says "I'm not that good" or something along those lines while having a decent hour count, they probably know what they do know really well, and they're humble enough to know what they don't know. On the flipside, people who gas themselves up are usually trash. It's not 100%, there are a lot of people with big egos who are tournament winners and such, but when it comes to people who are just playing ranked or whatever, people gassing up their own shit usually suck.
Been binging your videos, and they remind me of how legendary the PS2 era of DBZ games were. Budokai Tenkaichi, Budokai/Infinite World and Super DBZ each had a surprising amount of depth.
Trust me, with enough practice it really isn't as bad as it looks. This combo, while for sure being saucy, isn't even pulling out the fancier techniques like RRC's (Rush Reset Combos), DDC extensions (Dragon Dash Cancel), Dragon Dash flanks, Perfect smashes and other techniques. I know it may sound and look intimidating, but trust me when I say you should really look into it, it makes the game that much more fun
@@Noobinator_X is right, with enough game knowledge and drive to master all the movement/offensive techniques, you could do combos even greater than this
Hey can you do some videos someday on BT4's gameplay? The depth you can notice in it so far e.g. Would definitely sounds interesting. Also obviously a trendy topic to cover right now and a niché that's yet to be filled adequately by anyone i've personally seen so far. "Tenkaichi pro analyzes how competitive Sparking Zero will be"

I swear it’s like the most brain dead people are allowed to play sparking zero. Seeing doto do the same combo for the whole tenkaichi 2 playthrough was torture. Do people actually even read the manuals or try to understand a game or do they only press square. I’d normally say no hate but sadly I am full of it. Sorry bout that
in all fairness, the last instalment was 17 years ago and the footage is of people with very little hands on time. Their priority is conveying what it will feel like to the vast majority of players(the casuals) instead of the competitive people who still play BT3. It would be unwise of them to spend time in training mode tryna lab combos.
I REALLY hope sparking zero has this dragon rush type vanish combo at 1:27 when u lift kick them with up triangle that’s what I use to string a lot of my like 30 thousand plus combos ✨💪🏻🙂↔️ I’ve been practicing it lately on bt3 and have some nasty variants
Hello, a little out of context... I saw your channel tagged in a Budokai Tenkaichi 2 modded video and i just wonder how do you change the battles in story mode ? I mean, how you swap to play as the villain, i wonder if you could help me ?
Very different to the previous games, for obvious reasons, a whole new movement system, new defensive mechanics, new combo strings (that might be interruptable?) The tech won't carry over but the foundation (positioning meta, combo expression etc.) seems to stay true to its roots, which is amazing cuz RB2 couldn't manage that, I'm absolutely hyped 70€ for it is crazy tho why do they always have to up the price?
as a guy who has played fighting games all my life; it's curious seeing how an arcade type beatem up actually has strings; these are basically targetcombos being cancelled with dashes and stuff. and if you use the same target combo twice in the same combo, it resets. That's actually pretty in depth man. Out of all anime fighters; this one actually takes some skill? o_o
there's also mechanics like Melee Momentum, where some characters build up so much momentum, light charged attacks become impossible to use, meaning their linking options go away, there's primary and secondary rush sets (secondary has longer hitstuns -> more linking options, Ki Blasts reset you to primary) which I remarked here sometimes. Sure, you can spam out rushing techniques, but optimized combos have much more depth than people let on. there's also a bunch of movement tech (DDCs, Semiflanks, Enigma Dash, Scythe Dash), weighing of defensive options (high/neutral/low guard, counters, Step-In i-frames, Teleports, ZCs) alongside offensive options. Even how you approach the opponent has many responses (Dash Smash -> guard/teleport, Dash Cancel into melee -> Sonic Sway, Dash Ki Blasts -> Deflect or evade) overall, this is why I would never describe these games' combat as "beat em up", because it was designed to be interacted with by 2 people playing against each other, this is as Fighting Game as you're gonna get from Arena Fighters
