@Mknives Mr Gordon drives a purposebuild, handcrafted, rear engined, rear wheel drive, Trophy Truck race car. It has nothing to do with a normal Hummer at all. In fact, the original military hummer is buildt with a bit of inspiration from Trophy trucks, not the other way around. So it has a bit of fancy bodywork so it looks vaguely as a Hummer, and has a bunch of stickers. And that's only because they help sponsor him.
iv been watching Dakar for years, i always said that when the day comes one day when some one puts a trophy truck in it, its gonna be game over for everybody else.....
@SensationHunter in the Dakar that is how they let another racer know they are there and they want by its unsporting like to hold up a vehicle that is faster than you. Dust to Glory is a good movie/documentary you can watch about the Dakar rally
@SensationHunter Actualy, i remember this. there is a device inside eatch car, that lets you know that someone faster then you is behind you. and that car despite all the signaling was still bloking his way, so Gordon had enaugh of it, and started rubing his car, it was a effective way. btw, im European.
@Sparksnwheels , It's all in who pays to play. I'm sure toyo supplied those tires along with a generous amount of sponsorship money's. Idk if you race anything or not but from my perspective if I'm getting free tires I'm all over it, as long as they arn't a reliability issue on the rig.
@Ebbelwoy Just like all top racing cars in any racing series, whether it be rally or road racing, the only thing that's genuine on a works car is maybe the badge...IF they have one. In a lot of cases even body panels are a lightweight mock-up of the real thing, sometimes looking completely different. Like ExhaustedGirl says, they are purpose built machines designed to perform in their chosen racing environment.

oh yeh..just one last thing fu2ah, quote "the only reason he got any tv coverage blah blah blah...", you dont think it had anything to do with him finishing 8th overall the other year or the fact that last nite on tv he was currently sitting in 5th overall??? just a thought:)
@SensationHunter Bumping to let another racer know your behind them in off-road racing is considered normal and expected. With the dust and the dirt mirrors are worthless. Read up on it if you dont believe me. Hell we used to bump in karts to let other drivers know you were there. Dont get into auto racing if a small bump like that angers you this badly, you would probably have a heart attack.
@SensationHunter what creep named sensationhunter would make such a dumb comment. Jk. but seriously i don't think he mean't to hurt or be mean during that little bump. i think he saying i'm faster so move
@SensationHunter the faster car has the right of way, if he wasn't letting you pass, thats what u get, a little reminder. how would you feel if your 100% dedicated ti get the best time in your car class and some ass who dosn't respect the rules runs up your stage time...?
Good job .

Robby is the One....
that hummer looks menacing :D
1:31 The best moments :D
@Ebbelwoy Actually they got a buggy chassis and highly modified it and slapped it all together just in time for the race.
0:51 when he comes up behind the other guy and bumps him. Kick ass video.
Cool man.
Monster sponsored vehicles look fucking great!

There's nothing like the ROAR of a V8 engine.
He is certainly doing proud to MONSTER
is that andy grider in the co-drivers seat???

What's the name of the song?
@SensationHunter we dont fly our flag at race time.i think his point was if you cant play pull over and sell the car.

@SensationHunter Watch the Baja 1000, and you'll understand where the bumping comes from..
Is that supposed to be the H3 or H2?
@SensationHunter in the Dakar that is how they let another racer know they are there and they want by its unsporting like to hold up a vehicle that is faster than you

Anyone get the feeling he doesnt like Volkswagens?
He thinks he still is in Nascar

@SensationHunter Bullshit, the guy had plenty of time to move over...
this is no hummer at all anymore^^ its only the shell , the rest is prototype, it doesnt even look exactly like a h3
@SensationHunter what creep named sensationhunter would make such a dumb comment. Jk. but seriously i don't think he mean't to hurt or be mean during that little bump. i think he saying i'm faster so move
this is the dakar not the nascar-whats with the nudging-seems cocky, and i see it doesnt show the numerous times he got bogged and ran out of fuel

Holy crap, not THAT's an ugly truck...regardless of HP. -It's still an ugly truck which only it's designer could love.
