I'm glad young people are not just listening to these classic songs but just watched a reaction ( old Mr b) of a music festival with JAPANESE girls playing them. Just like classical music these songs will be played and heard forever.
Great reaction. That's how Plant blew his voice out by the end of this year, 1972. He used to give his all like this every concert for 3 hours. He didn't have a voice coach, smoked, he sang through colds and didn't cancel concerts when ill. He developed nodes on his vocal cords after singing with a cold at the end of 1972 and couldn't sing the very high notes like this after. He had a throat operation after the 1973 US tour. He was still great, he's Robert Plant after all, but just couldn't sing like this again from late 1972. Cheers to you both.

I held a 'grudge' against Robert for years until recently because he did not hit the high notes. I found out this year when I bought the Led Zeppelin book that he had strept throat. Let’s see: You’ve reacted so far to three Zeppelin songs, yes? Stairway, Kashmir and now The Immigrant Song. Holy Cow, girls....Zeppelin is such a rabbit hole....enough for the next year! If you do more songs from MGS 1973, be aware that that concert was made into a movie, called The Song Remains the Same. In the movie, “fantasy” sequences were interspersed with concert footage. Each band member, plus their manager Peter Grant, was given a “fantasy” to act out to one of the songs. If you listen to The Rain Song, you will get Robert Plant’s fantasy sequence. Dazed and Confused will be Jimmy Page’s fantasy etc. I think you would like both of them...but Robert’s is very romantic and Arthurian....a knight rescuing a damsel in distress. Plus, it’s a gorgeous ballad of a song...showing their “soft side”. It’s normally coupled with the song The Song Remains the Same, and then moves seamlessly into The Rain Song. I would suggest that for your next reaction. Be aware that a fair amount of Led Zeppelin is overtly sexual in nature....especially when done live. You’ve been getting allot of suggestions for Since I’ve Been Loviing You from MSG. It’s fantastic, but it’s also erotic. Don’t know how your dad would deal with it. you young ladies REALLY like Zeppelin. So do we! The video footage was from Australia, but the audio was from a performance in Los Angeles...They were spliced together because there was really no live footage of them doing this song other than from their Australian tour. I think that’s correct. The lyrics were written by Robert Plant on the plane ride back to England after the band had performed in Iceland. They received such a warm welcome there, and Robert was inspired to write a song about Viking history. Medieval history is also a passion of Robert’s.....the various peoples who have settled and invaded England over the past 1500 years. You might not yet have studied about it....but the Vikings terrified England for a couple of hundred years....raiding, looting, killing, destroying....8th century to 10th century. They then became settlers and farmers...settling mainly in Scotland and northeastern England, and became part of what it is to be English today. Robert knows this history, and was inspired to write it by his Icelandic hosts (descendants of Vikings, who settled in Iceland). It all ties together....Cool, yes?
When I first heard The Ocean on classic rock station in the late 80s I was like that is the weirdest song I ever heard. But it was so damn good, like nothing I had heard before. This many years later it is still like nothing I have ever heard before.
Sweet baby - dolls - it breaks my heart that you missed out on these "titans-of -rock" in live performance - because nothing equals that - but thankfully there are faithful recordings - let those do you 'inspiration' - I as an elder "pass the torch" - carry it with pride - you are simply the BEST - N'uff said. Luv - Yas !
Hey Dana's Faith, I really enjoy your reaction videos, and this one is no exception. I grew up with this music & now I teach visual art workshops at schools in Brooklyn and the Bronx, so it warms my heart to see people who are the age I was back then getting so much enjoyment from this great period in music. You might want to do a reaction to the song "Mystery Achievement" by the Pretenders. Great drums, great bass, great guitar and possibly the coolest woman in rock history as the singer/songwriter. Pretty sure you won't be disappointed!
Want more Bonham? Moby Dick live. Better love drums, though, cuz that's all there is. :) Immigrant Song has been used in a few movies, especially Thor Ragnarok.
More early Zeppelin like Royal Albert Hall. These girls need more of 1969 or 1970. So there journey to Zep could be an awesome experience for the young ladies. But yes Moby Dick live drum solo from R.A.H. 1970 the historic Jimmy Page's Bday January 9th 1970
And don't forget Jack Black's version of "The Immigrant Song" in "School of Rock." That's how my kids were exposed to a lot of great classic rock songs.

They then became settlers and farmers...settling mainly in Scotland and northeastern England, and became part of what it is to be English today. Robert knows this history, and was inspired to write it by his Icelandic hosts (descendants of Vikings, who settled in Iceland). It all ties together....Cool, yes?
I saw them in '72 in San Francisco. 90,000 people! It was crazy, but absolutely the best concert of my life...
Your reaction puts a smile
On my face.
Loved the reaction. How Zeppelin’s The Ocean? Super great song that really rocks
Yes..you right.
When I first heard The Ocean on classic rock station in the late 80s I was like that is the weirdest song I ever heard. But it was so damn good, like nothing I had heard before. This many years later it is still like nothing I have ever heard before.
The only song Bonzo sings twice on. The studio album
Luv - Yas !
a good drummer makes a good band :) another excellent vid guys! big love to all people :)
Thanks so much!
Thank you Peter for your suggestion! We will give our dad your suggestion! I think it was a better than good chance of us reacting to it! LOL!
@@danasfaith5738 Fantastic, I hope you do indeed react to it & let me know if it goes up!
You Girls are the Best!! Love your Shirts 😍
This is my favorite band. Greatest band ever. Zeppelin fan forever
Want more Bonham? Moby Dick live. Better love drums, though, cuz that's all there is. :)
Immigrant Song has been used in a few movies, especially Thor Ragnarok.
Please!
Great reaction ladies this is my fav zeppelin song so imagine how reacted when I heard it in the last Thor movie Ragnorok the music went so well with the action... proud of u ladies
The audio was captured at Long Beach, California 1972 at the Long Beach Arena. The video clip is from on of their Australia concerts, 1971 or 1972.
I subscribed purely because of your enthusiasm for your grandparent's favourite music!
