I was at this very concert. I was 18 at the time, so it is imprinted on my mind. The previous day we camped in a field outside the fenced off arena. Late at night there were rumours that the gates were going to be opened that night rather than in the morning, so we stood by the gates for hours until they finally let us in at around 2am. We then slept in front of the stage in just our sleeping bags under the stars. In the morning we were woken by the P.A. system playing Supertramp's 'Take the long way home'. If I remember correctly, Led Zeppelin came on stage really late and finished around 1am. All in all, an amazing experience for an 18 year old!
I got into a heated debate with a coworker years ago because I called him a musician. My coworker tried to correct me and say "he didn't play any instruments." I told him that singing was music and thus a singer is a musician. He remained unconvinced.
The Celebration Day Concert was held at the O2 arena in London -it seats 20,000 - over 22 million people applied for tickets.......incidentally some of us older rock fans regard Kashmir as the greatest rock song ever recorded.......Even after 30/40 years they are still the biggest band on the planet, they turned down 1 billion dollars for a concert tour.
What most fascinating me about Bonham is that he was playing like this in the late 60´s. No one at that time was even close to this sound. He is a true game changer, he changed the way people play drums forever. LEGEND LEGEND LEGEND. Thank you Girls for your videos..

I just come across your channel and I just love your reactions to Led Zeppelin. Those were my same reactions when I was a you teen. I was lucky enough to see them during their last U.S. tour before John died. It was totally 3 hours of nothing but having your mind blown. Still today, I will always say they are the greatest band ever!
You girls were so drawn in by Plant's vocals and "gestures" and Page's guitar stances and Jones' keyboard skills that you forgot all about Bonham! .....till he tore it up and reminded you girls that there's 4 gods in this divinity!
When I first heard this song it immediately reminded me of Morocco. I later found out that the lyrics for this song were inspired by Robert Plant's journey through the Moroccan desert at about the same time I was living there.
Great to see you appreciating this! I was there, the fifth and last time I saw them live, having already seen them three times in Liverpool in 1971-73, and then Earl's Court, London in 1975. fantastic live, every time.
Ya'll are just so cute with your reactions to the gods of rock. Makes me so happy seeing your generation listening and appreciating the music of my generation. Keep it up and peace!
One of the beautiful things about "Kashmir" performed live is that it gives you the opportunity to appreciate rock and roll and just what it can do to move an audience. These four musicians, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and John Bonham were at the height of their careers and can demonstrate just how rock and roll is done. I laugh when I think that this song was only four years old when this performance of it was done in 1979. I was 24 at that time. Today I'm 67 and it still moves me and puts a smile on my face. This band was always worth the price you would pay to see and hear them. It's the kind of excellence that you should always demand. One request. Compare this performance to the one they did in 2009 on Celebration Day when John Bonham's son, Jason was filling in for his late father.
I was lucky enough to see them in Atlanta Ga in 1977 when I was 15 years old!!! Still my favorite band and it is still astonishing to me as well!!! Awesome reaction!! You girls both really research and listen to every note!!! Outstanding and so happy the younger generations are becoming aware of such masters!!! 🎼✌️❤️🙏🏻
I was there at Knebworth that night. I've been in the desert ever since, and sometimes felt like the desert too, as you say. You get to a gig like this in your teens, you've peaked too early! You two really feel this music, so watching this with you is like a form of sharing. Thank you (there's a beautiful Zepp song with that title: Thank You).
Isn't it fitting that the the band has taken in, John's son, Jason as its drummer? Kashmir is the epitome of hard rock. The sheer volume of sound that John Paul Jones manages to produce is mindblowing. We are so lucky....
@@sirmartinfrobisher It was awesome seeing Jason play with the remaining members when he did, especially for "Celebration Day'; he was amazing and did his dad proud. Yeah, Kashmir is such a powerful song. My friend put it best when he once told me that 'Kashmir is a song that's so powerful from the very beginning and just doesn't let up or give you time to breathe'. We are lucky. I'm so glad I'm living in the time I am. I was lucky enough to see Robert Plant in concert in the 90's as well as Bonham (Jason Bonham's band).
@@sirmartinfrobisher unfortunately it’s quite a bitter sweat ending, the remaining band members all swore years ago to pack up the band for good once Bonzo died. Even though they now have Jason, Robert plant said it would be daft to break that oath they made years ago. Because Jason asked him after celebration if they want to do a tour, and Robert said to Jason (with all due respect to Jason) that they are not going to break the promise.
Zeppelin is just one of the best bands ever. I had the great fortune to see them in the mid 70’s and still have every album they made. So glad I grew up in that time and so happy to see the young generation reliving our past childhood. You see now how we felt!!!!😎👍✌️

You mentioned that the song is like a desert-like journey. Robert Plant and Jimmy Page rented a jeep and drove through the deserts of Morocco and it gave the inspiration for that song.

This is what happens when the music Gods bring together 4 of the best at their particular crafts into a musical nexus
It was that whole era
Excellent comment. Truth.
You two are the best and most sincere of all reactors. Your honesty and fun is what this rock music does to the soul
Thank you so much Gab Garcia!
i am so glad you enjoyed this song, it is my absolute favorite. I love seeing new fan girls being born to music that should never be left behind and forgotten. I look forward to your future videos, there is SO MUCH more music for you to explore. God bless you and stay happy.

Aww! Thank you for your kind words d smith!
Congratulations girls. Kashmir is really a mystic journey of enlightment, not onlt my favorite Led Zeppellin song, but my favorite song of all times!
its soo refreshing to watch a new generation enjoy led zep the same way i did 40 odd years ago
I really love watching you appreciate musical classics! You take me back to being young again and first hearing these amazing songs. Always keep the love of music in your hearts and souls! Thank you girls 💜
If you want to see Them at their peak, you Should react to “Since I’ve been loving you” live at msg 1973.
I agree💪
Definitely
I just come across your channel and I just love your reactions to Led Zeppelin. Those were my same reactions when I was a you teen. I was lucky enough to see them during their last U.S. tour before John died. It was totally 3 hours of nothing but having your mind blown. Still today, I will always say they are the greatest band ever!
You girls were so drawn in by Plant's vocals and "gestures" and Page's guitar stances and Jones' keyboard skills that you forgot all about Bonham! .....till he tore it up and reminded you girls that there's 4 gods in this divinity!
Sorry Gary! You are correct! John woke us up and reminded us that he was there !
May I say girls that it does my heart good to see & hear young folks like you two appreciate classic rock-n-roll. Good luck & God bless.
Thank you Tom Tom!
My hope is that they listen to more of Zep's material, and get their friends started listening to it.
My brother and a few of his friends were at that show too. I was a little too young to go. 🤦🏽♂️
John Bonham was a god. His death was the worst thing to EVER happen to the world of music.
Yeah.. many musicans become legends when they die... John was a legend before his death.
Him and John Lennon only a couple months apart, two rock icons.
That was a drumming masterclass!
Led Zeppelin: Let me take you there.
Me: I’m there!
I grew up with these guys, my grown up children love them and I’m so heartened that you love them too. Oh and btw... I was there x
Zeppelin is just one of the best bands ever. I had the great fortune to see them in the mid 70’s and still have every album they made. So glad I grew up in that time and so happy to see the young generation reliving our past childhood. You see now how we felt!!!!😎👍✌️
Thanks for that, ladies. It was fun. I didn't know this concert had been recorded. I must find the rest .... because I was there.
"This sounds so retro-ey" I feel so old.
Retro-ey as in beautiful ! :)
@@danasfaith5738 I know it was meant in fun. ;) It's just getting difficult to watch how vintage some things that were made during my lifetime have become and I'm only in my 40s!
This is SO AWESOME to see 2 young people such as yourselves getting into a band that was VERY POPULAR over 40 years AGO! 💖 The Mighty Led Zeppelin have and continues to gather audiences both young & old to this day! 😄 Bless you girls! I hope you continue to venture into the Zeppelin catalog you’ll find more & more that will blow your mind!
I was 9 years old when I first heard them! I’m now nearly 60 years old and l tell MY girls, I’ve heard the rest, I just now listen to the BEST! 😉 P. S.: Yes...I DID see them LIVE!
So girls, where are your Led Zeppelin T shirts?
Seriously laughing out loud! Awesome.
We don't have any! Our dad said we was going to buy us some! LOL! We are still waiting!

Good girls! Thank you very much for your reaction! LZ is my favourite band as well. Nice job! Best wishes from Russia! I love you very much!
Almost speechless. Lucky to have him as an important role. 10 albums under their belt
I am so pleased to see two young ladies lovin this. Us oldies can go to our rest knowing that there are young folk to carry the torch
As a kid I went bald trying to perm my hair like Robert Plant! Best reactions ever!! This channel rocks!!
Thank you Michael!
Kudos to the people recommending the songs, they're absolutely kicking ass !!!
I love and appreciate your enthusiasm for the greatest Rock and Roll group ever!
Awesome reaction. So great to see Zep appreciated by a new generation. Your lives will be richer for it.
You mentioned that the song is like a desert-like journey. Robert Plant and Jimmy Page rented a jeep and drove through the deserts of Morocco and it gave the inspiration for that song.
I'm 53 years young and it warms heart and soul to see, that Led Zeppelin still have the magic.
Yall have to listen to "In My Time of Dying" live in Earl's Court in 1975! In my opinion their best performance ever!
Heck yeah!!!!
I went to both the Knebworth concerts, blew my 17 year old mind. I love watching you girls soaking up this, you get it!
Thank you!

What? When I bought this album in 1975 it was fresh off the presses. Damn it sucks getting old.
