I have a serious question: Why is "trying hard" considered to be bad in fashion and creating outfits? I noticed I have recently become a little insecure sometimes when I am out and about in my wildest of outfits (to go grocery shopping maybe but I felt like wearing something bold). All the while I have just recently started watching fashion videos on TH-cam.
I think it’s because everyone wants to appear effortless, especially now. People want to look flawless without looking like they did it on purpose which makes people envy how put together they are even when they aren’t all done up. The main thing is that it’s enviable. It’s why the no makeup makeup look is so in. The whole effortless look also really appeals to men because it shows a woman is beautiful without being high maintenance. Definitely a great look but I don’t mind looking a bit more effortful when I dress.
I love your style but I am a petite woman (5'0). Do you think pieces like the cargo pants can work for someone so short? Do you know of petite stylists who have a style similar to yours that you'd recommend?
