Heroes with splash dmg spells should be really good vs zerg. Pitlord cleave all zerglings so grunts can one shot them or tinker rockets. Walling the base is also essential vs zerg so it should be the same with all warcraf races.
So, warcraft factions have a food limit of 100, while starcraft factions have 200. Which means if a starcraft faction captures a warcraft worker (dark archon/infestor) they can build warcraft units with a food limit of 200. I've tested it, it works.
Grubby, regarding what you said around 24 minutes about WC3 never working in SC2. I've been working on a map to try and recreate the skill expression aspects of unit control and surround for a Warcraft 3 map in SC2. I think I've made pretty good progress on it, but I'd love to be able to get your thoughts on it later since you're far more experienced on it than I am. I'm currently working on replicating the worker harvesting behavior from WC3 in SC2. Love the videos. Thanks!

There's a few mods where the workers get combat upgrades which makes these situations nice. There is one I can't remember where you got a choice between combat SCVs that gain HP, speed and damage and spam SCVs which just cost no more supply.
so cool , the incredible potential of custom games and map making INTEGRATED into the game playable by all is one of the best features of any game . entire genres have spawned from the inclusion of such a system in which everyone can experiment and create . fantastic accomplishment , big honors to the mod creators .

I dunno, maybe some other things could work. I did notice that grunts 2-shot drones, so maybe a proxy barracks rush with 2 grunts could kill a ton of drones and cripple the Zerg? Also since both Undead and Zerg use creep in this mod, would an Undead tower rush be more effective? The long delay before you can get a hero is a real issue though
WC3 Evolution is pretty 1 to 1 so balance is iffy. Azeroth-Koprulu Hyperwar versus is the current rebalance mod, it brings WC3 units closer to SC2 in terms of balance and add some minor change like a zerg upgrade to see at night etc
removing the unit hit cap seems super important for wc3, but would also hurt wc3 vs wc3. so not sure. Maybe just forced to play only "meta splash" (no limit) versus zerg. I do think he didnt get to experiment much, so i'm not sure how much he trained for this.
To me the strat seems to rush a grunt and send it to mineral line, and make TC and send it to mineral line. Ok to sacrifice units and heroes to kill drones because its in Starcraft fashion.
I feel like it would just be impossible for SC2 to defend if WC3 picked a hero with an AoE ability and just immediately sent it across the map without creeping. War stomp is also way way worse than shockwave against SC2 - SC2 units don't have that much health, a lot of them will just straight up get OHKOed by shockwave.
It's so funny to not worry as much when losing units to the Starcraft player because EXP is useless to them. Also, it's nice to see how they somehow retained the HP and armor effectiveness(?) of Warcraft units in this mode; after all, you will have less units than Starcraft races so the amount of HP Warcraft units have somewhat compensates. Blizzard should get into this right now, start balancing it and make it their new rts game, having balanced, blizz-quality rts with 10 races would be killer, selling like hot buns.

He was called "Leenocktopus" because he was diligent at spreading creep so it felt like he had his tentacles all over the map
This mod seems a lot more broken than the one I've seen played by people like Winter. You should check that one out instead.

Heroes (and everything that comes with it) and interesting micro makes the game in general and especially the fights more exciting to me.
@staceygram5555 I also like the hero aspect of wc3 but at the same time the lack of heroes makes sc2 exciting in its own way.

Orc burrows should have detection if manned by a peon. Also in general, I think heroes shouldn't be hookable by vipers.
