This isn't because people disagree with him. He wasn't being salient or coherent enough to agree or disagree with him. He put people in an awkward position and made false accusations during what was clearly a moment of being unwell. Encouraging people to embrace delusional thinking is a dangerous form of enabling. Criticism of Kanye West is not equal to criticism of black people. White supremacy is real and serious. The fact that those hats were made by persons living in colonial scarred nations by people who are working in conditions that violate their human rights is a far stronger case of white supremacy than a millionaire being told that they acted poorly.

That's the section that really warmed me to Pete. Previously, I'd dismissed him as some wee quirky pretty boy with his pop star girlfriends that wasn't anywhere near as funny as he likes to think he is... @7LeafClover PREACH!! There’s enough info out there now that no one has an excuse to go on with an untreated mental illness after the first couple episodes. This man is in his 40’s and has been told by the entire Internet many times that he needs help. His wife just divorced him. I’m sure his kids say things all the time. There’s no excuse to carry on like this when everyone is telling you that you need help. I’m 25 and I’ve been stable for 6 years now, terrified to not get a good nights rest or stop taking my meds because I never want to go back to how things used to be for me. He has all the money in the world. He could get stable if he really wanted to.
I have what Pete has (borderline personality disorder) among other things, I take my meds.. Life saving 🙂
@7LeafClover gotta say, hearing that hearing that other people share my issues, bipolar, depression and anxiety, has been a breath of fresh air. I’ve been trying my hardest to get some help. Medicine does a bit, but the suicidal thoughts are still active. I’ve tried therapy for years, but I can’t seem to find the right one. Not sure what I’ll do but I just gotta keep having hope.
