  • Here is a more detailed demo of the incredible Orange Rockerverb Mark iii 50 watt head.
    In this video I cycle through both channels and a variety of pedal combinations. Each clip is labelled accordingly. This amp loves pedals, and this makes me very very happy.
    All guitar tones captured are using the magical Torpedo Live from Two Notes direct to Logic Pro X with no post EQ or compression.
    I'm using the board Attenuation to easily work those power tubes nicely.
    I hope you enjoy the tones I've captured.

    This demo really dispels the myth that Rockerverbs don't like pedals!

    Really excellent demo, Danny! Very fine and interesting playing throughout. I especially appreciated your clean demo. Most demos of this amp are done by rockers with no idea how to get an excellent clean sound out of any amp or how to play expressively with no gain. Really beautiful job.

      Thanks very much, Bill.
      It is an incredibly versatile amp. Especially the clean channel, keeps up with a lot of boutique amps out there in my opinion.
      Merry Christmas 🎄

    Have you tried to put a fuzz or distortion in front of the amp already a little distorted? Cr120/60 do not do this very well, that makes me think if I should buy the crush version amp, I am courious about how the rockerverb does it

      I don’t tend to use many pedals. I have a Suhr koko boost for lead lines but I love he gain channel as it is. Plug and play kind of guy these days.

      Works great with my dual terror so I’m guessing it’s the same with this

    Hey Danny! Have you tried the CS50? I would love to hear that with pedals!

    Hey, greeeat show of what the amp can do! How does it clean up with the volume knob? All good or becomes muddled etc? Much appreciated!

    Which PRS model is that and are the pickups stock? Great tone!

      It’s a Hollowbody 1 with Archtop pickups (at this point.) I have since swapped the bridge pickup for a ‘The Mule’ from BKP.
      Thanks for watching 👍

    I see you have a Rockerverb MKii and MKiii there... How do/did you like the MKii? What would you say there differences are in terms of tone (other than differences in features like attenuation etc)?

    • @DannyBeardsley
      @DannyBeardsley  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The clean channel is a little more scooped on the Mk iii, which works really well.
      The Gain channel sounds pretty identical to my ears. The Rockerverb is just a rock solid amp and I can’t really imagine life without it now. I’d always recommend it.

    Where do you have your volumes, attenuator, and eqs at for both channels? What is the brand of the zen drive clone?

    • @DannyBeardsley
      @DannyBeardsley  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the questions. I usually set my mids relatively high and lower the bass. The attenuator I adjust according to the venue or room but it tends to sit at 9 o’clock.
      The Zen drive is from a company that’s is no longer around. I shall check the name.
