    00:14:14 Well impressed & the filter it nice too. My old orbital with the bag filter is now crying after watching this filter.
    Nice to see that cordless tools are actually matching (or passing) corded. Pretty cool.

    My First Sander for personal use was corded Ryobi. After few minutes of use I couldn't hold it in my hand, due to vibration transferred to my hand and wrist instead of surface that I was working on. When I got myself that Milwaukee sander I was amazed from the first minute of use. 5 Ah battery last more than half an hour, dust collection better than I've ever seen (at work I was using better brands than Ryobi, except I didn't own them).
    using mine with makita paper, you can swap sheets and put them back on if still usable, they stay attached.
    Overall one of the best sanders on the market, you can definitely get professional results with it.
    Wow, that was a long comment 🙂

    Hey Vince! I've always tried reading my manuals from front to back, but I always get stumped when I get through the English and Spanish. I seem to struggle to get through the French. That sanding pad not sticking to well to the sander concerns me a bit... only because when I was younger I had a corded orbital sander, and when I lifted the tool away from the work piece, the sander spun really fast and threw the sanding pad off. Unfortunately for me, it flew across my wrist and sliced me good. I still have the scar to remind me. Since then I've opted for vibrational sanders...lol but this sander has me wandering if I should buy it or not?

For home projects, I have 3 Makita 3.0 batteries and Milwaukee I have 1 9.0 and 1 3.0. Would you rate the Milwaukee unit over the Makita for home, not jobsite woodworking projects? @@VCGConstruction I've run every type of corded sander you can imagine, the absolute worste being porter cable drywall/pole sanders, vacuum or not YUCK!! As far as wood goes, I learned on an old school Makita belt sander and have mastered the art! As far as palm sanders..... let's just say I've had terrible luck and it's not because the brushed motors couldn't handle the dust (hint: they could not!). This M18 orbital could be promising depending on run time and ability to hold the paper so it doesn't bind and kick. That dust collector isn't exactly a placebo but if your sanding indoors you should reconsider your approach.

Got me so hooked on drywall sanders I ponied up and bought the Festool. How do you like the Festool Rotex sanders??? Now other companies have copied that design at a more affordable price point (Makita and Bosch). These battery jobs are a convenience more then a replacement of a corded sander tho. Good Talk.

      @@renaissancemen1 the porter cables I used were definitely towards the end of their lives and it was about 8 years ago so I'm sure they have improved some. Also not a fan of drywall sanding in general, lol probably 75% of the reason I didn't like the tool! Your right, in my experience a sander should be wired. It is a good concern considering how much they ask for these tools.And is why if i am gonna consider wasting my money as of right now it would either be for a dewalt or makita. There is also the fact of committing to a battery system. You can forego brand loyalty with corded but once you have a battery system that's usually what you need to stick with. So if you have the m18 system and that's an issue there's always corded, or the good old block when 120 isn't available.

    • @johna.ludwig2311
      @johna.ludwig2311 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep. I just bought both brand new. The Mliwaukee has almost no spin power and stalls easily. The Dewalt is far superior. See my above post.

    I wonder if you can use this for wet sanding aluminum? That's mainly what I do and it seems like a decent product to have on the go. Just not sure how well it will hold up with alumicut and metal dust getting sucked into it. I'd assume it'd be just fine but that wet dust also has a habit of getting into places it shouldn't.
