I bought the OG crossfade wireless in Jan 2016 and they are still holding up strong. People expecting something generic like Sony or Bose, or more balanced have no clue what Vmoda is all about sound wise. I've been using this brand since they launched nearly a decade ago and they are still one of my go-to brands
I completely Agree with the ANC and the sound signature. Me being a long time fan and having the cross fade 1&2 the one thing that’s disappointing is the Lack of design change. This new one doesn’t really motivate me to replace my old Cf2
I agree. No need to change their design on the crossfade wireless series. Many people have custom shields that they would rather keep until the wheels fall off. They've already changed the XS/M-80 design to the magnetic shields i.e. S-80. I think they should just focus more on improving sound quality over cosmetics in my opinion.
V Midas are awesome. Best sound from one of the biggest drivers, 50 mm dual drivers vs everyone else’s 40 mm singles. Design didn’t change but like he said, “built like a tank. About to buy my 3rd pair only because I need Bluetooth. And I can use all of my old accessories because they didn’t change the design. V-moda made necessary improvements, I don’t need change just for change sake, if it ain’t broke…
EDIT 01.2024: I bought a pair and I'm happy to report that V-Moda changed the plastic. It is now like a dense rubber and feels more flexible. ORIGINAL COMMENT: I had a pair of Crossfade 2 Wireless. After six months of careful use, the black plastic covers on the edges of the headband cracked. Reading through customer reviews, it seems to be a well-known issue since long ago. Shocking that the company thinks it doesn't need to improve its design.
@@DixonWangYF Fully agree 👍🏽. Another issue with them is the very poor noise isolation; these are really half open-back headphones (each earcup has three holes at the bottom in the shape of "v" lines)
Yes, the major flaw with them, otherwise they work fine. Kind of disappointing they haven’t fixed this yet. I’ve had my CF2 for years easily and it works fine but I’ve literally glued and use fancy Velcro to keep this thing together.
I agree on the design change but without eliminating the hinge mechanism. The missing ANC on this model is just business. Expect the Crossfade 3 "ANC" in the near future. Lastly, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the new Master & Dynamic MW75 headphones.

Great video. :) I don't know. I think $300 is a lot to ask for over the ear headphones without noise cancelling. Maybe if the sound signature was excellent it could justify that, but when I hear "bass-heavy", that's an immediate turnoff.
they are definitely not that base heavy maybe slightly more than studio quality headphones like if you were making music and want something really accurate i would highly recommend they sound really good and they're basically indestructible lol
Might have to pick these up soon, I've had the m-100's since middle school which has been almost 10 years from now. They still work, but since I didn't take care of them as well as I should've its got some issues. Something I wish they would do is make the microphone more resilient, I think I'm on my third one now and they always seem to break at some point even though I make sure not to mess it up.
hopefully they have improved the ear cushions, the originals used to painfully press really hard into my ears after a couple of hours of use. I think the cushions were too soft and would depress too much.
