In the first game, The Forest, we could turn the artifacts color to red and blue. Blue made mutants and cannibals pieceful. Ref caused a great cannibal and mutant hoarde. It was amazing. It was a great way to see if/how long your base would hold up during a hoarde. I'm hoping it's the same in SOTF. Right now the game is still early access so all of the artifact pieces are not available and it doesn't impact gameplay at the moment. It will in the future with further udpates.
Always, there are some caves where there are no enemies but the majority they do have some mutants. Thats why you need either guns and armor to explore the caves.

Ok so in the first game The Forest the artifact allowed you to make enemies full rush you or stay away from you depending on the mode so I’ll assume that it’s going to be like that

The paper in the fisherman hut cave indicates 6 findable pieces but two missing ones. How will we get the full artifact with 2 missing pieces?
We still have to get 1 piece of artifact that will likely be added either in next update or at full release

I got salty at the sped up parts. Had to rewatch the same section like 6 times due to the cannibals.
