Spade just slays with me with his lightning snark abilities. As he envisions some sort of intro segment, but comic emeritus Carvey ain't having it, Spade handles the surprise Segway, "Uh yeah, that was the beginning." He has always had that perfect balance of cynical perennial outsider jabbing at the rejectors, whilst simultaneously showing his generally kind disposition via his easy self deprecation.
It's great that Zach would lend his name to these guys to get them some exposure. Most big stars wouldn't even... I hope they can springboard from here.
Between Two Ferns had me dying. The movie wasn't all that to me but the interviews and bloopers afterward were hilarious. I'm a fan of Zach regardless and I'll never forget a story of an elderly lady he met when he was an unknown comic in LA at a laundromat he used to patronize. Obviously, after he became known, he stopped going there but had heard that the lady fell on hard times and he put her up in an apartment where his friend Renee Zellwegger helped furnished the place. He's even had her walk the red carpet with him. So he's funny and humble and talented period. Keep these interviews coming Dana and David!!!
I love Zach and David's chemistry together. Reminds me of him and Farley. A project with them together would be hilarious. Especially if it was based in the south.
If Joe Dirt and Church Lady did these interviews - well, the earth would explode by the first break. It would be cool if you guys did a 5 minute skit in those characters on this show. :)
I happened to have been on The Hangover during the Black Jack scene. I found out that Zach was born on the same day Oct 1st as me. On the way to set he was walking with Bradley Cooper and I mentioned it to him. Later on in the day I got to be in that scene and got to improvise a bit. The lines were cut but I still was seen in it. Had a nice chat with them both during our breaks.
Zach Galifianakis has a southern accent, it's just that southern accents have changed. Also, southern accents are a lot more varied and nuanced than people would guess from the media.
I'm chuckling because I moved to the south and when Alabamians talk to each other I am merely a spectator. Georgians, not so much. Or I've trained my brain after several years

First saw Zach in Out Cold and then Bubble Boy. Loved his parts in those movies.
