Yikun sent me the entire lineup nearly 2 years ago and they had some of the most innaccurate flight numbers ive ever seen. They have decent premium plastic, but the discs seems to be made by beginners for beginners. This isnt necessarily a bad thing especially if disc golf becomes popular in China and they have a large population of new players.
Most of there flight numbers were accurate for me but there were a few in the bunch that I did notice some inaccuracies as well. I’m wondering if they have improved on it since you received that initial line up! Also I dig the channel
My favorite throwing putter is the Yikun GUI. I love the versatility and different flights that I can get just by holding the disc on the “grippy” portion or “non-grippy” portion.
Love the video man! I've had the twin swords in and out of my bag for a while now and I love the consistency! Throwing putter I gotta go judge. Especially with how the lucid plastic beats in and the feel of the new supreme plastic? I've been throwing judges for a while and I haven't looked back since!
I have been throwing the Infinite Tomb Metal flake C-blend as my slightly overstable putter and I absolutely love it! Flies super straight but with a very consistent fade at the end, highly recommend.
I've been using the Judge as my putter for the last year or so from about 40ft in. Outside of that I grab the Luna. I've used a couple Yikun discs before but I never realized that they have a full line. Just never considered them much before, but perhaps I should.
Just got 2nd place in a B-tier MP40 with throwing all Yikun. They're solid. The Hammer is money and lots of people would enjoy throwing the Twin Swords and the Claws.
I love throwing my alpha plastic lonestar harpoon! Cam have a bit of turn and a good firm finish. Its numbers are 4/3/0/2 but i tend to get more of a 4/5/-1/2.5. Almost as far as my mids! Also love my xt colt. A bit flippy bit i have it dialed!
Envy is my favorite throwing putter. Fitting that you were on the hole of the holy shot. And you may have convinced me to become a yi guy. I love my Lunas, but hate the price tag.
Whale is my favorite throwing putter by a landslide. I've been using a glow whale for half a decade, amazing feel and flight. Also a big fan of the Gui from Yikun!
I’ve been really wanting to try out some Yikun, but never made the jump because I just had no clue if it would be worth any money. Will definitely be trying out the Zhang! Favorite throwing putter is my Logic! Nice flip up and ride
Buzzz and Heat have been my favorites for years. But I have started trying new company’s out lately. Been playing disc golf over 37 years. Would love to try out some Yikun. Thanks
Favorite throwing putter at this point is a Champion Aviar. Loved the review. Very interested in how the plastics feel, might have to pick a few discs up.
Love seeing some newer brands represented! I'm going back and forth right now, but honestly the Proxy is super underrated. When the Envy and Proxy first came out, I was raving over the Proxy while everyone else gravitated to the Envy.
Yeah, I am a Proxy putter and I agree. If you have a fast slight hyzer angled putt then the envy is better. If you are a straight spush putter then the proxy is king.
Yikun roughly translates to a legendary fish that can transform into a giant bird. Currently in my bag are Pure and Envy. Sometimes the skygod or Aviar 3 makes the bag too.
Throwing putter has been the soft Judge, I can S it in from time to time, but the bead makes my a putter who is less trash than before. #puttfordough #driveforshow Love the videos man, great job
The Hammer is the best training tool throwing putter on the market. The price and the production consistency cannot be beat. I own 15 Hammers, all came board flat, that are used to train forehand and backhand distance. If you can throw an overstable non-glidey putter far, you will increase your distance on every other disc. The fact that you can get a stack of these discs so cheap, means you can use them like a basketball player would a rack of balls, or a baseball player and a bucket of balls. They took my forehand to over 500ft, and my back hand to over 400ft, from 350 and 250 respectively. You should come to OKC man, where it is warmer than Utah this time of year, and do a Hammer training video. Oh, and the whistle let's you know you are on the right track, so that's a cool feature.
@@Infinitediscs I'm not sure how much you are following the tour this year, but if you are swinging by or through Oklahoma, remember this and hit me up.
I totally agree, been throwing Yikun's Active line for discmania, and love a bunch of the molds. Mentor, Genius, Majesty, and Sensei are always in the bag.
Mentor was pretty good new. It's like a softer grippier dx. Just bought a Geo origin feels like that same plastic maybe DD but its flying perfect for now. Trying to not hit any trees with it. My prime Truth verdict emac Truth all waffled on first tree hit.
@@Infinitediscs Not really a specific slot. I love collecting discs. But of course I love playing also and through mostly understable stuff. I'll look definitely take a close look at your Yikun stock when I'm ready to purchase but will be a bit later. Made some Simon and Paul line orders recently so wife might divorce if I make another order soon😁. I've ordered from you guys in the past so I'll be in touch when ready to get a Yikun disc or 2.
Actually, the most underrated brand was Lighining discs, they had 3 good putters The Rubber Putter, Upshot, and #2 Upshot both the basic and softer in Proline , then had #2 driver that was a good disc only in baseline then had one of the best midrange discs, the #3 Hookshot that was basically what a RocX3 is now but only in the basic plastic that was improved for all molds to between XT and Pro or similar plastic when they added the DuPont to the discs. The Problem with Lighting was they never improved the discs for years so the brand was forgotten and never made past a 9 speed disc they made in 2000 until they made an odd named disc not in the airplane or newer number system. I think how this brand stayed in business was they had a fully galvanized basket with 18 single set of chains for $200 they had made in China, buying both the clone made by a Chinese company and actual model, then when bags were used Lighting had some of the cheapest bigger bags on the market, the smaller ones were about the same as the other brands bags of the same size.
Hard to beat an Envy, but an RPM Tui in premium plastic will always have a place in my bag for it's straight to understable flight and unbelievable glide.
I love my soft luna! But not gonna lie I was blown away by the sensei I got in my mystery box! Also was pretty surprised by the tailor! So I can see where you are coming from however my big issue with the active line is how domey they are
I have found that in the Phoenix plastic for sure but that Dragon plastic seems to be a lot more reasonable. Definitely a different feel then your normal “champion” type of plastic though.
I would say the Yi is probably most similar feel wise. It may be a little faster than a keystone and maybe a touch more far. The king might be what you’re looking for. It says it a mid range but it is definitely a putter. Slightly more flippy then the Yi but probably flies like a keystone. It does have a bead though.
I do like the feel of Yikun plastic, which is sad because literally everything else about their brand is disappointing, like the durability, consistency, stamps, designs, and shape in the hand.
so sick to see these small brands get some love!

My favorite throwing putter is the Yikun GUI. I love the versatility and different flights that I can get just by holding the disc on the “grippy” portion or “non-grippy” portion.
I love the hammer and the base plastic it comes in is really good
Love the video man! I've had the twin swords in and out of my bag for a while now and I love the consistency! Throwing putter I gotta go judge. Ordered my first Yikun disc yesterday! Right now, my throwing putter is a Max Value Divergent Nuno. It does what I need when I need.
Thanks for turning us on to these discs. Really worth a try! My fave throwing putter is the Axiom Proxy Plasma. Straight and true!
Favorite throwing putter would have to be my Berg. Great video!

My favorite throwing putter is a judge or AGL above ground level putt and approach discs
My favorite throwing putter is the Crown. It feels exactly like a PA 3 but I feel it is slightly more glidey.
Ive never thrown yikun. I need to rewatch to understand the names better. They all sound so similar. I do like throwing a luna for throwing putters
Loved the video! My favorite throwing putter is a classic soft judge. Something about it just clicks with me!
Envy is my throwing putter. As a beginner it's been good to me.
I’ve been really wanting to try out some Yikun, but never made the jump because I just had no clue if it would be worth any money. Will definitely be trying out the Zhang!
Favorite throwing putter is my Logic! Nice flip up and ride
The Phoenix plastic is definitely domey so if you like that then go with Phoenix. If you like a flatter feeling then try the dragon plastic.
I like to throw a berg for short stuff (100-120ish) and a pig or jawbreaker zone for longer
My favorite throwing putter is the lat64 pure
Latitude 64 Ruby is the best throwing putter in my opinion. And thanks for the video, I'm checking the link right now.
I've got three Yikuns in my bag right now. Great value.
I recently picked up a tsa praxis, and it quickly became my favorite point and shoot throwing putter. Super strait, but also pretty torque resistant.
Lunas man! Got a prototype Luna it was money this past weekend. 1st run Luna was also money.
Currently throwing pure and berg.
Buzzz and Heat have been my favorites for years. But I have started trying new company’s out lately. Been playing disc golf over 37 years. Would love to try out some Yikun. Thanks
Favorite throwing putter gotta be a berg but I’m willing to try anything
I putt with Westside disc crowns. Nice and straight for me and I like throwing the harder plastic ones

Fav throwing putter is the Hydrogen Loft. Dead straight shots when I need it, glides on touch shots then too.
Favorite throwing putter… the berg
My favorite putter is the Innova Mako (was the Axiom Proxy). My favorite throwing putter/approach discs are the Buzz and the MVP Deflector.
The praxis is my go to!
Primarily been throwing a proxy as my go to thrower
Great review! My favorite is the rainmaker!
The chief OS is a godly throwing putter in the diamond plastic
I got rid of my Glitch for the Yan (3,6,0,0). Flies like a Glitch but I got it heavier so it plays better in the wind.
I’m going to have to try out this brand now. Favorite putter is the firefly and favorite throwing putter is the new trash panda innercore.
Yikun roughly translates to a legendary fish that can transform into a giant bird. Currently in my bag are Pure and Envy. Sometimes the skygod or Aviar 3 makes the bag too.

I would say my favorite putter is the new pace from finish line. I do like my luna for throwing too it flies straight for me.
Favorite throwing putter: Fierce
Nice manitowoc minute beanie!
My fave throwing putter is my Star Invader, I don’t really hear it talked about very much and I’m not sure why because it cruises

Good video and I bag a White Hammer
I put with an old school Parina
Hard to beat an Envy, but an RPM Tui in premium plastic will always have a place in my bag for it's straight to understable flight and unbelievable glide.
Tomb is a great throwing putter
My pure is my absolute favorite putter to throw flies more like a midrange now
I use the hammer as a throwing putter. The VIP one actually!
Let’s gooooo
This one is next on my list! I love my Crossbow and figured I'd try another approach-type disc.
The crossbow is a beefy mid! Extremely torque resistant
Berg is my favorite throwing putter. Will have to give this brand a look ✌️

@Infinite Discs the tailor was great! Also I got a rockstar and it was reasonable but the magician was unreal!!!
Ruru by RPM is the best throwing putter
Nothing beats a Luna. Lemme see that.
Could a Yukon replace my Keystone? Who knows?
I would say the Yi is probably most similar feel wise. It may be a little faster than a keystone and maybe a touch more far. The king might be what you’re looking for.
