    I just learned something new from you Bruce. I thought all plugs had a resistor. Does one work better then the other. Stevo

    • @BrucesShop
      @BrucesShop  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am not sure. The resistor helps in radio interference.

    Ya know what I like to do when I change the oil; I start the engine, let it run for a minute or two then clamp off the fuel line. That way when the carb bowl empties out the engine stalls and it’s warm enough to drain the oil. It won’t flood out when you tip it because the fuel supply is pinched off and then it’ll start right back up again. It’s better for the engine and you won’t contaminate that nice fresh oil with gas. Just my two bits, thanks for the video on that nice mower. Good to see that some folks take care of their stuff!

      @@BrucesShop can’t do it with a Pulsa-Jet carb but at least with float type carbs it can be done. Took me a while to figure that out, I just got used to doing it the other way lol!

    Bruce the OLD MAN from EP here saying just another good video this time you remembered the spark plug boot, good job. We find here that to remove all the oil with our Pela 6000 extractor we need to put one side on a 2 x 4 (the 3.5 inch side) to tilt the engine towards the dipstick thus we get all the oil.

    A tune-up should be maintenance, not a repair. Meaning the unit should not be used so far/so long that it won't run at all without getting the tune-up done.

    When the mower started up first pull after the next day, I was very happy for you. As a mechanic, I know all too well the feeling of when you fixed something, and it was running. But then the next day the customer comes over, goes to start it, don't start, and the wave of embarrassment washes over you.
