I like your woodworking a lot. I also like your editing. You show us a sample of each thing you’re doing without making us watch you do it 8 times. Nice job!
@@OldGuyWoodworks You're most welcome. One self-critical, modest expert is worth a thousand cocksure tree butchers. You may possibly have what the psychiatrists call 'imposter syndrome'. All the best craftsmen seem to have it, whilst we true amateurs watch in awe. Your dear lady wife is a very good judge of character. Happiest wishes to you both from merry old England.
I thought that breadboard ends weren’t supposed to be glued along the entire length but rather just in the middle. How is the table holding up? Beautiful job
Been watching all day... you are hilariously funny and I like watching your videos and some of your techniques... I suspect Powermatic should sponsor you because you really made me want to buy one of those drum sanders. Fantastic work! BTW, how many BD/FT did you need for that table?
I used my normal #8 square drive screws that are zinc coated. Haven't had any problems. Using stainless would have been nice, but pretty expensive. Thanks for watching.
@@OldGuyWoodworks thank you! Just acquired a bunch of teak for a patio sectional sofa set. Found your video when i searched for outdoor teak build. I loved your video even the bloopers at the end hahaha!
@@jsol2480 very hard to work with, in my opinion. I bought a bunch to build an Adirondack chair I’m currently working on. It’s killing my blades, my planer got stuck multiple times and it gums up sandpaper. Oh yeah get a bottle of acetone too
I like teak. (Not the price).
!
How much did the wood end up costing you?

What a fun day and great project. Cut!
Thanks so much!
You're criticising such exceptional beauty? Heaven help me if you ever see the kindling that so many of my projects become. Your table is stunning.
You're right. My wife says I'm my worst critic. Thanks for watching and the kind words.

@@Tampo-tiger this is the best psycho analysis and right on the mark. 🤣 Cheers from the world famous London Bridge in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
It came out beautiful.
Thank you! 😊
Great project and entertaining video! All I can think of is Bill Murray smokin' that stogie. Are you guys related? He's old too ya know.
No relation at all. Except for the old part. Thanks for watching.
Great work. Beautiful table
Thank you very much!

The gap between the slats helps with any wood movement. The table is holding up very well. Thanks for watching.
@@OldGuyWoodworks oops. Didn't even think of that or take it into consideration. Thanks for responding

I wish they would sponsor me too.I think I was just shy of 20 bd ft. I accidentally bought 5/4 instead of 4/4 which cost me a bit more.
nice job !!!!!!
Thanks for watching. Glad you like it.
What screws did you use? Do you have to use outdoor grade for hard wood?

I'm just trying to figure out how to make a table with no shop and no experience 🤦♂️
Living on a tiny boat is great once everything is built 😆
You might have to borrow a shop. Experience only comes from doing. Good luck!
@@OldGuyWoodworks yeah I know a few guys that do carpentry so probably one of them would help. Thanks! 😀✌🏻
