1.5k views within 24 hours... That's actually insane. Thanks so much for the support! I'm going to be doing a Sage guide next since that's when I'm levelling at the moment. I know a few of you have suggested both Monk and Samurai. I'm very interested in the new Monk personally but I'll probably do Samurai first. Also I won't really be able to make any guides for a couple of weeks since I'm going back home to see family for Christmas, but I'm going to still be playing and getting classes levelled. So as soon as I get back, Sage guide and then probably Samurai. Once again thanks so much everybody for the support!
Oh man ive watched many reaper rotation guides and yours is literally the only understandable one BY FAR ty very much instant sub super structured and easy to watch
Is this a rotation guide? I didnt see anything on an actual rotation, just very good explanations of Reaper's abilities and their uses....though I mostly skimmed though it so i may of missed it.
You made this video so entertaining to watch at the same time simple to understand and to the point, hopefully you make other videos on other classes in time.
I honestly wasn't planning on leveling this so soon in endwalker but I think I found my new main. This class is just so damn smooth I love it. ❤ Btw thanks for your help with the class, much appreciated!!
Brilliant video! Not only was it informative, but you've got a great personality that keeps people engaged. Time to see what other videos you've got now 😜
Reaper honestly feels like it has the DPS mechanics of Gunbreaker.. including weaving Lemure's Slice into void and Grim reaping, which reminds me of continuation. Im loving the job, everything synergizes so well and the mechanics feel so fluid. Prob my new main with NIN a close second.
So far you've helped me understand more classes and I thank you so much for these videos ❤❤ Im just getting back to XIV after not playing since they released stormblood. There's so much I still don't know so again thank you 🎉🎉
A fun note on the terms ‘gibbet’ and ‘gallows’. They both mean the same thing: a structure, typically of two uprights and a crosspiece, for the hanging of criminals. Gibbet is pronounced like Jibbet (with a J sound instead of a hard G sound). An example is what king Theoden said to Saruman at Orthanc tower: “When you hang from a gibbet, for the sport of your own crows, we shall have peace!” Thank you very much for the great guide!
This was very well planned and executed, I understood what you were talking about, not too fast, not lingering too long. totally worth the watch. Thank you for making this video!
there are like 4 popular openers on reaper right now but i feel like similar to sam, after the opener is done it’s a ‘freestyle’ job lol. nice video but some things i wanna add. for one, you can use your shield skill “arcane crest” and it won’t drop your soul reaver. adding on to arcane crest, it’s a pretty over powered skill. once you know when a boss is doing an AOE attack, make sure you weave it into your rotation for the group health regeneration. next for “arcane circle” you want to use it when you have no more than 50 shroud gauge and when you have at least 50 shroud when arcane is up, become the voidsent immediately. this is because by the time you do all 7 attacks in shroud form, ending with communio, the limit on sacrifice souls will be filled, allowing you to follow up with plentiful harvest immediately after you finish, giving a second transformation. next, i know this may seem small but communio conveniently is a ranged attack. with some good practice, you can knock off health for add phases/bosses in harder content when you have to get far from a certain mechanic. i really like endwalkers content so far, it’s like they made every job have an even higher skill ceiling. last but not least, hells ingress and egress followed by the return to hellsgate is absolutely insane. once you know a fight, you can have so much uptime on an enemy. be warned though, some arenas are a bit too small (extreme number two) so backing up is tricky when using that skill, you’d be better off just running around or hoping you have that new scholar skill that boosts speed (i don’t heal, but that is the greatest skill in the game i don’t care) happy hunting guys ! raids in a week !
one thing i realized myself recently was that saving shroud gauge can be pretty convenient as well. so in certain situations you can hold the transformation until you are at 100 shroud. this (since arcane crest would be coming up) will allow for 3 back to back reaper transformations. it’s crazy!
hey, i commented on your machinist video awhile back with some feedback and just wanna say this video is much much better and actually helped me out a lil bit (i didnt really get harvest moons purpose lol). good shit dude, keep it up.
just picked up reaper today and spent so long reading tooltips/dummy practicing, stumbled upon your guide, its by far a BLESSING OF INSIGHT. I'm happy I got a few things confirmed and much more explained so well!!! At first I was put off by reaper since a friend told me it would be a hard class to learn but it's been fun figuring it out, I get a boost of serotonin getting positional right :D plus I look sick af !
Dude this is such a simple and easy to understand guide. Nobody else explains it like you do. I’m back to FFXIV after 4 years and was stressing out. Reaper is my new favorite. Thank you! 🎉
I had that scythe glam from the online store on my Black Mage long before reaper was announced. Now I'm playing Reaper and I still get to keep a scythe. Love this class. Still high DPS, and I can actually maintain uptime
5:14 i would say its the same as trick attack from ninja because it causes the target to take extra damage but it is more selfish in the sense it only amps the reapers damage rather then it being party wide
This is EXACTLY what I needed. Thank you very much for this, as a New Player whos transitioning from WoW, I find this extremely precise and easy to follow.
I like the fact that this was explained in great detail yet I don't recall any of it (At least for now) except for using certain abilities to enhance others and that the Reaper can teleport and has a shield and by basically reaching cap LVL one will become a beast. *falls to the floor* I'll have to watch this again at some point for sure as this was pretty insightful, especially for a new FFXIV player.
Really well done video, I even went back to your old videos to learn other jobs after watching this one. You're clear and concise and explain what needs to be explained. Also you talk at a normal speed, I'm not sure what it is with most ffxiv guide writers but they all talk SOOO fast. Anyways, keep up the great work & can't wait to learn more from you. :D
Wonderful Work, finally i understood how i can do my Job even better than befor❤ and yeah Theres nothing better than Scythe's😍 thanks for this amazing video
I was hesistant to level my reaper as, at 70, it's a bit dull in terms of rythm and I couldn't figure by reading the traits if that was going to improve. Thanks for that !
After coming back to the game after like a year long break the only job I remembered how to play was dragoon and summoner 😂 this helped A LOT!!! Thank you 🙏
Excellent guide! This was how simple reaper is .. i have no idea why are they blabbering so long.. its such an simple stuff to grasp.. a few examples of rotations along with the skills are good enough!
just thought i see if im playing reaper right and you my friend showed me i am thank god!!! thank you for this awesome video!! even the shield shatter i been kinda doing when we all gotta bunch up together. Again thanks dude!
Your guides are great dude I’m watching every single one. But I want to tell you sow as you are pronouncing it means pig and sow “sO” means plant as in reap and sow. It gave me a good giggle that soul piggy tho haha!
I can see why this game is so addicting now LOL I've heard the stories about this game LOL I mostly wanted to know what makes a Reaper because I was reading a fanfic crossover where a character has this ability. And I am not disappointed XD
as a brand new player from this weekend that's now a lv 35 dragoon I cannot WAIT to play reaper!!!! Idk why I slept on FF14 for years and stayed on wow -puke- Thanks for the rot video, I'll be 100% back for a recap!
From a DRG main, I think I've finally found a new class to main. Tried NIN (Hate Jutsus), tried MNK (123 combo variants are a bit too much), tried SAM (Midare is nice) and now we have this. I think I'm home.
very well done guide! did not know that killing mobs with deaths design gives you gauge. Could not figure out for the life of me where i was getting random soul gauge from
You enter the new region, see a lalafel having sold his soul and wielding the powers of the damned before a trembling crowd and think “nahhh…I’m good….”
This thing is confusing as hell at first man lol. You build a resource so that you can build a resource so that you can build a resource. Sometimes simplicity is good, like the shotgun. The shotgun is an incredibly simple weapon, it gets the job done and it’s still fun.
Came back to this hoping you had a picto guide since my dumbass learned reaper from you when I was new. Even as a penta legend I goped for an dummies guide to picto LMAO.
@@EagleEyes500 it’s very strong. It does as much raw damage as samurai/black mage and it has a party damage buff on top of that. It’s the top dps by a lot right now

It’s be cool if we got a necromancer or some other dark attuned caster. That way we would almost have a darker alternative for every role. Necromancy is the only thing I can think of rn, but I’m sure there are better alternatives lol

"Just go ham."
"... for like 5-10 seconds every minute or two"
Oh man ive watched many reaper rotation guides and yours is literally the only understandable one BY FAR ty very much instant sub super structured and easy to watch
it gets confusing when you get into optimizing the rotation but the basics of the job are actually really simple.
Is this a rotation guide? I didnt see anything on an actual rotation, just very good explanations of Reaper's abilities and their uses....though I mostly skimmed though it so i may of missed it.

and it's a super short video instead of the 30 min long "guides" that are 24 minutes of fluff lol

Clearest reaper guide by far with zero fluff. Excellent work

A 2 years old video earned you a like and a subscribe, you have helped me understand it so well
I've been hitting positionals on enshroud this whole time, I feel like an idiot 🤣 felt like I was playing a sped up version of the old MNK

I had the basics down for Reaper but wasn't 100% on some of the skills. Can honestly say this really helped! Thank you! :D
