I always come back to BM powder. I will go off for months and use IT CC and try all the new foundations looking for "that one" but always seem to come back to. I am 53 and I love how healthy my skin is when using. Totally agree with you. Back to basics!
I started using this again at age 57. My skin also went through changes and became very sensitive and acne prone and this is the only foundation that doesn’t aggravate my skin. For a minimal look, I just cover up blotches with the Original foundation.

I an a blush obsessed person but found recently that just using BM warmth gives a nice healthy look on cheeks as well as a little on the T zone areas where the sun would hit the face. I like it that they never expire and have an SPF as well. My skin is more sensitive too at age 58. I just bought BM well rested eye brightener so we shall see how that works on my oily, slightly wrinkly, red and veined eye lids. I have just been using the complexion rescue gel under my eyes and then setting it with Laura Geller balance and Brighten which i dont like on my entire face but it works very well under they eyes as it doewnt settle into lines. The under eyes have been an issue lately, as they just bug me! I just need to stop obsessing as they are what they are! Lol
E.L.F. has a great primer that is great for my 57 yr old mature skin. It is by their glow line. I find it is moisturizing but not too much so, as my skin tends to be slightly oily but also very sensitive. It works well under Bareminerals Original Foundation. Did you know that Bareminerals foundation does not expire like liquid foundations?
There is a jar icon on the back of cosmetics that gives you a guideline of how long they will be safe to use. That really comes in handy for those of us that tend to keep our products for too long. I admit, I still do push my blushes & eye shadows long as I can. I periodically spray them with 99% alcohol. And I ALWAYS spray it after every use when I've had to use it while sick. (And I'm loving your earrings)
Love that foundation…the ONLY powder foundation that I can use on my dry skin that doesn’t look cakey. I mix 01 Fair with 05 Fairly medium for my perfect shade for my cool tone skin. I pay $70 for both of them, but with an infinite shelf life, I have been using it for almost two years and I have only used half of the container (powder container I bought off Amazon)

i do the same thing, but i use a medium + a dash of warmth mixed in, in the summer for when my face has a fairly dark tan. But once it starts to fade during the winter months i will just use a medium.
Love your napping puppy in the background. Celebrated my birthday (9-11) with my brother, his boss and two other friends he worked with in the airlines. Beautiful dinner and evening. We sat outside under twinkling lights and away from other guests. Food was fabulous! Sometimes our skin does go a little crazy. I never know if it is a product, the heat here or something I did or did not do. Skin breakouts should not be allowed after a certain age. Oh no! I hope your Internet issues get straightened out! Haha!! It does require patience and lots of work buffing! That’s the trick though. Without lots of buffing it won’t look that great. I’ve always been, a bit of a makeup junkie since I discovered the MAC Studio Fix powder foundation in my twenties. But I’m just turned 50 and with the menopause, everything completely changed (dry skin and wrinkles) So I decided to try the luminous tints. My favorite is the new L’Oréal nude, but although is very nice I preferred the classic Bare Minerals loose powder foundation and the Mineral Veil as well. A beautiful natural finish with good coverage. ( I always settle with the Revolution glow setting spray) more durability and less visible wrinkles. Thank you for the video! ❤

I turned 48 in July and my skin has been acting up for the last year and I found out that I can’t use any products with perfumes near my eyes. I had to stop using sprays, eye primers and must of my concealers. My lids were itchy and my eyes too. My skin has became too dry and sensitive around my eyes. I got ride of most of my eyeliners and I only use tubing mascaras now. Bareminerals is so great and I’m so glad I can use their products without any itching!

I found that over time, some primers that have silicone will make the breakout as it clogs pores.. of course... because it is plastic. . I skip primers now all over the face. I am going to just try it on the eye area and on areas that have large pores.
I used BM years ago and really liked it. Have been thinking of trying it again but not sure I have the patience to do all the buffing. I use the BM liquid foundation currently for fast makeup with no muss or fuss. Good brand. Thx for your review, 🌺🤎

Hello my sweet friend. Thank you for doing this demo and sharing tips for this foundation. For me, Bare Minerals line is really nice and quick to use which speeds up my time getting ready! So it comes in handy when I'm in a hurry. I have some of their brushes that would come as a set but haven't tried the one you used. Thought about getting the IT brushes on the Ulta sale but changed my mind. Although I still have time unless they sold out. Lol! But that's okay because I really don't need them. Dawn have you tried the Mineral Veil? If so what do you think and how do you use it? I've never understood what's the purpose of it. Lol! Is it like an all over highlight?? I already received my Genifique serum. Think the only size that was on sale was the small bottle, because I kept trying to order the larger size and was not showing half off. Also the Mac bougie shade was out like right away. I was disappointed about that one. Really wanted to try it. Oh well guess it wasn't for me. Maybe next time. Thank you for all your help! It’s lighter (pigment wise) and is for setting your liquid foundation. I like it a lot ( I pick it up in the mini size at Ulta). I hope you like your Genefique. Hi Dawn. Your skin is just glowing. It is definitely frustrating when we find something that works for us and then suddenly it doesn’t work as well anymore. And I think that breakouts after age 25 should be against the law. I always say I will do the acne or the wrinkles but not both. I’m sure you realize this but we don’t see hardly any of what you see. But I 100% know exactly how you feel. Going through similar.

Hi Dawn thank you for this video! I just found your channel and Im going through the exact same things. I had to go find a new mineral foundation color because mine no longer matched. I'm learning that acne can be androgen or estrogen levels. My blemishes appear everyday so I'm trying to eat more eggs and leafy greens and less carbs because I may be low of vitamin A, B5, and zinc and too high of insulin levels. I also just learned my vitamins are synthetic so I'm going to find a plant based product and something called extra virgin cod liver oil. Bare minerals does a great job with coverage but sometimes my face actually hurts so I'm just trying to get to the bottom of it all. I truly enjoy your rambling btw idk your energy is calming and you feel like a good friend. 💕

So the clean procuts I have been using from another company have been discontinued and I am looking to get into BM, my biggest problem is knowing which shade to use. How did everyone figure that out? Should I just go to Ulta and have someone help me? I am 52 and a creature of habit so I have t had to deal with this in years

I think you’ll have the best match if you go in and get color matched. Sephora and Ulta have great return policies if you’d rather test them yourself in your own home. I hope you like BM!!
Hi Elizabeth!! Bare Minerals makes a powder bronzer (called warmth) that can be applied with a contour brush. I’d use the powder because I think applying a cream would get cakey. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

I thought this was the Bare Minerals that is on sale in Ulta today. I’ll pass on the one on sale today. If you had experience with that one let me know I never tried any bare mineral products. That IT cosmetics duel ended brush did not last on me at all. It fell apart in so many ways. It probably was the one made for Ulta

I had to stop using sprays, eye primers and must of my concealers. My lids were itchy and my eyes too. My skin has became too dry and sensitive around my eyes. I got ride of most of my eyeliners and I only use tubing mascaras now. Bareminerals is so great and I’m so glad I can use their products without any itching!

Beautiful girl I feel the same way , lately nothing is working but I’m trying to stick to clean brands , and using less on my skin . I picked up the bare minerals loose translucent powder at marshals and I really like it. Im trying few things. Isn’t is funny how we go back to products we used . I found that over time, some primers that have silicone will make the breakout as it clogs pores.. of course... because it is plastic. . I skip primers now all over the face. I am going to just try it on the eye area and on areas that have large pores.

I used BM years ago and really liked it. Have been thinking of trying it again but not sure I have the patience to do all the buffing. I use the BM liquid foundation currently for fast makeup with no muss or fuss. Good brand.

Hello my sweet friend. Thank you for doing this demo and sharing tips for this foundation. For me, Bare Minerals line is really nice and quick to use which speeds up my time getting ready! So it comes in handy when I'm in a hurry. I have some of their brushes that would come as a set but haven't tried the one you used. Thought about getting the IT brushes on the Ulta sale but changed my mind. Although I still have time unless they sold out. Lol! But that's okay because I really don't need them. Dawn have you tried the Mineral Veil? If so what do you think and how do you use it? I've never understood what's the purpose of it. Lol! Is it like an all over highlight?? I already received my Genifique serum. Think the only size that was on sale was the small bottle, because I kept trying to order the larger size and was not showing half off. Also the Mac bougie shade was out like right away. I was disappointed about that one. Really wanted to try it. Oh well guess it wasn't for me. Maybe next time. Thank you for all your help! The Mineral Veil is a finishing powder. It’s lighter (pigment wise) and is for setting your liquid foundation. I like it a lot ( I pick it up in the mini size at Ulta).

Hi Dawn. Your skin is just glowing. It is definitely frustrating when we find something that works for us and then suddenly it doesn’t work as well anymore. And I think that breakouts after age 25 should be against the law. I always say I will do the acne or the wrinkles but not both. I’m sure you realize this but we don’t see hardly any of what you see. But I 100% know exactly how you feel. Going through similar.

Hi Dawn thank you for this video! I just found your channel and Im going through the exact same things. I had to go find a new mineral foundation color because mine no longer matched. I'm learning that acne can be androgen or estrogen levels. My blemishes appear everyday so I'm trying to eat more eggs and leafy greens and less carbs because I may be low of vitamin A, B5, and zinc and too high of insulin levels. I also just learned my vitamins are synthetic so I'm going to find a plant based product and something called extra virgin cod liver oil. Bare minerals does a great job with coverage but sometimes my face actually hurts so I'm just trying to get to the bottom of it all. I truly enjoy your rambling btw idk your energy is calming and you feel like a good friend. 💕

What is the color of your concealer and foundation?
So the clean procuts I have been using from another company have been discontinued and I am looking to get into BM, my biggest problem is knowing which shade to use. How did everyone figure that out? Should I just go to Ulta and have someone help me? I am 52 and a creature of habit so I have t had to deal with this in years
Hi Sherri! Don’t you hate when your go to’s get discontinued?! I am pretty pale and peachy undertoned so finding my match wasn’t difficult. I think you’ll have the best match if you go in and get color matched. Sephora and Ulta have great return policies if you’d rather test them yourself in your own home. I hope you like BM!!

How do you contour with this, powder or cream stick?
Hi Elizabeth!! Bare Minerals makes a powder bronzer (called warmth) that can be applied with a contour brush. I’d use the powder because I think applying a cream would get cakey. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

I thought this was the Bare Minerals that is on sale in Ulta today. I’ll pass on the one on sale today. If you had experience with that one let me know I never tried any bare mineral products. That IT cosmetics duel ended brush did not last on me at all. It fell apart in so many ways. It probably was the one made for Ulta

BM says you put the TINIEST amount in the lid. You used waaayyyy too much and didn't tap it off.
Dawn you have a lot of patience. Buffing, buffing when rheir are liquid foundations that you can put on in a minute or so for me i don’t see the point
I don’t have patience everyday. It goes much faster if you like a lighter coverage. I did a full coverage in this video.

I used to use the Pur Minerals stick foundation & really liked it. I haven’t tried their powder foundation. I’ll give it a try next time I need to purchase. Bare Minerals comes in a matte formula that might be better for you. It sounds like you have one you love already though.
