Every step of the way, hosting has helped turn a passion project into reality. First, during frequent camping trips, they started renting out their Portland bungalow on Airbnb and put those earnings toward the treehouse build. Next, they bought a rustic, handcrafted tiny house on wheels. They moved to the property in White Salmon, WA, which served as both their home base during the build and another income source when they weren’t in it.

I love how Airbnb used to be affordable for people who wanted something different now I'm too scared to look at prices for 1-2 night stays in Airbnb's. This "Treehouse" is beautiful and would be wonderful to stay at. Again it's just crazy that everything has really gone out of control with prices for holiday stay.
I guess this couple were smart in how they decided to create, build and decorate their beautiful Treehouse, cause now they'll be enjoying their returns from all their hard work👌🏽😊

Little info on how they manage power, water, waste, fire and other natural disasters like storms etc can be helpful.
I was wondering about the durability of the installation, what happens when the trees get damaged by lightning for example or a disease? Can the house stand by itself? To me , it looks precarious. Should that happens are they insured for it? This is not an ordinary house and it surely cost quite a lot.

This is the best tree house I’ve ever seen, everything is top notch, a place in nature where ppl can chill out n enjoy themselves. If I had to nitpick about one thing it would be that it’s really not that high off the ground, bec imo it should be 50 feet higher in the air starting from the bottom, then it would be super top notch instead of just regular top notch. Cheers :)

This Treehouse is so well done! It's so hard to accept that it's a Tiny Home! Also this couple just comes across so genuine with this lifestyle choice! Also why is the Husband not modeling outdoor gear he is so Country HOT!

I can't say enough good things about this video I can really appreciate the amount of work you guys put into it and it makes me want to sell my business and do the very same thing. I only wish we had more like this here in Connecticut.. were on the opposite side of the country and I guess it just doesn't catch on here like it does over there and that's a sad thing...I would live to spend a weekend here if ever in the area...I'd do this over a 5star Hotel in a minute w/o hesitation!

Douglas firs are the most unstable tree that has the shortest life, I'd be scared honestly knowing that it was Doug firs holding that whole structure up 😮
That upstairs railing is nice but in ON Canada it would not be legal. The top and bottom rails can be horizontal but in between the rails must be vertical so children cannot climb up them and fall over. Also the gaps between the vertical rails cannot be more than 4" apart so a little person can't get their heads stuck between them.

Love your tree house, it’s the best one yet. The loft is the perfect height and gives you such great views. The kitchen and bathroom are so well put together, just love everything about this tree house.

She mentioned no storage for guests. Which isn't the best decision maybe a queen bed and then a twin. And place a shelving unit on a wall where the twin bed would be. Thats s lot of accommodating pll in a loft and nowhere to house theiritems. not thought out. Those hooks arent enough. .

I'd call this a cabin with wraparound porch- not sure what makes it a treehouse.
The structure is high in the trees, fully supported by the trees 🌲
@@TinyHouseExpedition although this is a beautifully done video and a beautifully done structure... there are ways to build without invading and affecting the long-term health of the supporting trees the way that this type of construction is done... it just makes me sad... use the trees without respecting the health and well-being of the trees, including the surrounding trees, as they are all connected...
$380/night is too expensive for this person.
I am obsessed by a lot of these tiny homes, but I'm in my mid 50's, so I wouldn't want a tree tiny house. Because I have arthritic knees and couldn't climb that many stairs.

Really distracted by the constant advertising for AirBnB - spoiled this whole video for me.
Did anyone count how many times they said(beetlejuice, beetlejuice, beetlejuice) ABNB? Maybe they get revenue by doing that..lol All the smaller tiny homes look great as well as the treehouse. Wouldn't it have been better to us WA sellers instead of Oregon ones since this is in Washington? It's all about the Benjamins and less about doing more with less.
They live in Portland which is only about an hour away. We love how they found away to turn their love for treehouses into income. It is definitely a business. Funny thing, just learned a friend of ours is using this treehouse as a style guide for your in-progress tiny house on wheels 😃

This is perfection every single thing about is perfect except I wouldn't need the upstairs to be bedroom I would use that as I get all my clothing racks and I go rack Rack racks all over it from the one wall to the next wall all my clothes are me hanging up there so I can finally see what I own is this exactly what I'm talking about right here and the only different thing that I would do is I take the kitchen and put it in that spot where you have the couch and I only have the kitchen in that tiny area you don't need a bigger kitchen if you're in a tiny house it's only 500 square feet and then I make the living room the length of the the whole place and put the TV on the wall and all that s*** that's what I want to do in the backyard this is the right size right here perfect 500 square feet is a tiny house isn't it I mean I think I could pull it off in the backyard

$383 a night? Wtf? No thanks. This is the most expensive and overpriced airbnb I've ever seen on youtube for any sort of tiny dwelling. I'm stunned at how expensive this place lists for. It's not a 5 star hotel.

This is so f****** perfect it makes me sick tell me how many square feet of living space is this I'm dying to know because I want to build something this size in the backyard and tell me it's under 500 square feet I'll be so so grateful to know that you did this and were able to accomplish this and only need 450 square feet is that possible cuz I would love to have this house in the backyard I love the bedroom okay and I love the upstairs I could use that for clothes just racks of clothing this is awesome
