My favourite thing about being English is being surrounded by restrained eccentrics like John. There are so many people here that are just delightfully unafraid to be themselves, all while being so polite and well-spoken that it's like they're daring you to judge them for it. Yet despite eccentricity being so common as to be almost a key element of our national character, every single eccentric is eccentric in a completely unique way.

Nice work, John! You could cut down on the "movement" by putting some rigid diagonal cross braces around the legs on all sides, however I did note the tensioned cables there and I know you wouldn't like the aesthetic of the solid braces - however the clear difference is that rigid braces would provide stiffness under compression as well as under tension, and would also have less elongation under tension than the cables. Very nice job :-) and some hilarious stories from the process. :-)

❤ First, Thank You Bryce and Rasa for bringing us the man's slice of Heaven. It's a testament to his skill as well as his passion. And yes the line "a little bit of luxury never hurts" so apropos. It's so wonderful that unlike many of us he has been able to crystallize that joy he experienced in his youth all those many years ago. I always key in on Tree House's as those of us lucky enough to have had those adventures as children. As witnessed Dreams, still do come true.

What a guest room! A baguette, cheese, wine, and apricots don't need a kitchen, although you could probably rig something to reheat things over the sauna rocks. The lovely narration about of the tree house story had me thinking all along it was a "folly", and it was confirmed it is so!

Love it. I would love to live in a tree house, full time, but I don't have your building skills, and don't have the resources to hire a builder. I live simply in a small house with lots of plants and flowers. I say, "I live in a garden, with the birds, bees, squirrels, butterflies, lizards, frogs, and other critters who are welcome." I have two cats, a bantam rooster, and hen, who gives me an egg almost every day, and my little chichihua, Star. We all get along very well, living in our garden!♥️🙏 Thank you for your tour of your tree house!🤗💕🎆🙏

The most striking feature of this house is that the entire load is on the pillars specially built n the tree is spared from the torture....while it's okay to pursue a childhood dream, it's a noble gesture to think about the tree, which can't protest..I loved this presentation. Sauna was an excellent idea..
