honestly, i dont think people say enough about prelude and strawberry dreamland. everyone is so quick to hurry over to potential for anything and paint and the like that we all overlook it. both are incredible in their own right: prelude meshes the 5 lobby themes together into an almost fever dream-like premonition of the various lobbies, making it grow more and more impressive as you play through the mod, and equipping you with some level of familiarity in each lobby's theme already so that when you hear the theme, you're able to go "oh my god thats where thats from", which is what i think a prelude should do. strawberry dreamland, on the other hand, leans fully into the more thematic elements of the mod, introducing the 2 main rhythms that youll come to be very, very, VERY familiar with as you play through the mod, whilst being almost mystical in its tone by itself. this soundtrack is absolutely crazy.
the first time i played this i was like "damn this music is so Gusty Gardeny". and then i went "damn, this mechanic is so Gusty Gardeny" and then the chorus hit and i went "ha, Good Egg vibes" and started singing along as if it were that song. and then the melody went EXACTLY LIKE THAT, and i was left with a big dumb smile on my face :)
rapid eye movement is yet another catapillie dub, such a beautiful track for my favourite stage in the beginners lobby. regardless of personal favourites, this whole OST has banger after banger, awesome work from everyone!

you have to know that 'going on a walk to take my mind off things for a bit' (20:34) accompanies the most beautiful art-themed level and all the hazards and moving platforms move to the beat of the music and theres so many secret areas and ughhh its so pretty 😭
