I wish I had taken my time with this mod instead of rushing through it in one sitting. This feels like an uncanny, natural extension to Celeste, almost as if the game developers released another free DLC. It's extremely professional: * each level explores a SINGLE concept with gradual difficulty. so many mods just throw mechanics at you to make it hard, artificially increasing the time. * glyphs and berries have consistent amount of challenge vs the levels they are contained in and don't break the immersion. * the cohesive visual design - not just within the mod, but also with the base game * the Disasterpeace inspired music, that develops and grows throughout the level There's an insane amount of work put into this, I hope more mod developers take a page from this guy's book.
Soundtrack for this map is really great and makes it very unique in addition to design of the map itself! Well done, really enjoyed Glyph. Hope you make more. :)
This map is by far my favorite celeste map I’ve played so far, I enjoyed it more than even vanilla. The decoration is stunning, the music is phenomenal(I didn’t like most of vanilla’s music too much anyway), the gameplay is so much fun, and the secrets are hidden very well without being too frustrating. My favorite tracks are School of the Flower and End of all Seasons, and my favorite sections are the secret void parts(as well as void A and B sides). One of the only mods I’m considering goldening. 11/10
as i was playing through glyph i kept thinking "wow, whoever made the music gets it" as in, gets both the somber tone of glyph and exactly what you're looking for in music for a game like celeste. you've done an amazing job :D
Glyph is so far the only piece of media that has made my cry because it is so beautiful. I love glyph and this soundtrack ties it together in incredible ways.
Man, this was so good! The platforming, the creative use of new mechanics, the decorations, the colors, the music... it was all so amazing! I didn't 100% this yet, but just by playing it from start to end, I can safely say that this is my new favorite Celeste mod! Again, great job and thank you so much for this!
I just want to say how I cannot stop thinking about this soundtrack well over a year since my playthrough of Glyph. It is shocking to me not only how beautiful it is but also how logically it is composed as an extension of the mod itself. Together they form completely silent storytelling in a way that can be interpreted in so many ways where none of them are wrong... Thank you for releasing this. While I love the main game, this mod has left such a surreal impact on me thanks to what I said above. I really do feel it is the best Celeste level ever made.
really strong Hyper Light Drifter vibes, that ambient feel is so on point! you did an amazing job with this, and omg those chords... THOSE CHORDS!!!! ugh this is too good
Ides of Frost really stood out to me when I played the mod. Great design, great music. Overall, Glyph might be my favourite Celeste mod - fantastic job!
Glyph was so, so good. The level design, visuals, soundtrack, secrets - every part is so high quality and shows such attention to detail. I especially liked the winter levels/theme. Really looking forward to whatever you make next, whether that's another Celeste mod or something else.
This still sounds as great as the first time I heard these magical songs in Glyph. Thank you for sharing these with us, for me they improve many a day by a lot.
This soundtrack gives me genuine chills whenever I listen to it, playing through glyph or listening to it on its own Its incredible how much effort was put into fine tuning the atmosphere of this mod to make it something truly special To this day, many dozens of mods later, it remains one of the highest effort and best celeste mods out there It really feels like its own thing and I am super impressed by that!
this is an absolutely fucking insane soundtrack for a mod. Not sure if this is intentional, but it has Disasterpeace written all over it, and I love it
I listened to this all day yesterday. It's as if you've taken sounds and chord progressions from my own childhood imagination, made them better, and made them real. Thank you.
glyph is truly an amazing mod, and the soundtrack specifically is something ive listened to hundreds of times. thank you so much for this wonderful music!!
I played your map today and I can say??? It's genuinely unique, creative, tranquil, and actually really beautiful. I think this map might be my favorite because of how well-done and satisfying it is. I really love this map and I hope I can make fanart for it one day. And, if it's not too much, but is the Sib's Tower OST posted up somewhere? If it is, I can't find it so I pull up the map so I can hear the music play in the background. I really love what you've done with the music as well.
This is some really quality music, i'm playing glyph rn and it creates a great atmosphere. Reminds me a bit of fez and deltarune, but has its own style to it.
i've said this on other videos, but playing the map reminded me of the room duality gimmick in Soul Searching and Quantum Tunnel, two VVVVVV custom maps from way back in the day, so, awesome job as both a math and music enthusiast, i must also whine at there only existing 6 of the combined 16 possible season variations for all of the seasonal tracks (9 of 20 if you count ides of frost prelude), and on top of that not being able to listen to the variations individually without actually playing the mod, but i'll accept it for now
Quick hypothetical question; would you be available to do a soundtrack like this for a small project in the future (as a commission)? Im working on a small game and if I ever get to the point where I plan to release it, your style of music is perfect for it
Loved playing through Glyph, beautiful level! Is there anywhere I can download high quality versions of the soundtrack? I'd pay money for this, it's amazing.
I was wondering, what kind of synth and patch did you use for the reverb-y synth chords in the first track ? The whole album sounds amazing by the way.
I use Native Instruments Massive for pretty much every synth / glitch texture in this record including the one you mentioned. I usually build patches myself from the default settings in massive. the chord synths for that song used a healthy amount of compression and modulation (from a plugin called enigma by waves) in addition to the base synth.
perhaps! though it does cost money for me to distribute the music on streaming services. for now I have it up on band camp tho as well: lushboystudios.bandcamp.com/releases
